What. It. Do. EndCycle Fans. We're excited to bring you another big update! To try it out, simply switch to the beta branch, by right-clicking the game in your steam inventory, and pressing properties. From there, simply select the beta option as shown here:
The focus this time lies on bringing you more tools and attacks to make battles even more exciting than before! Let's first talk about all the new ailments that are possible with this update: + Blind: Limits your vision to a 3x3 area + Haste: Speeds up your VOC cooldown speed + Brake: Slows down your VOC cooldown speed + Berserk: Boosts your attack power for a small duration + Meak: Reduces your attack power for a small duration + Floating: Makes you float, making you unaffected by panels + Frozen: Freezes you into place, making you unable to move Now unto the VOCs that utilize those ailments and more: + Lv3 BackFlash - Counters with blinding attack! + Lv3 Companion - Places cube that slides towards attacker! + Lv2 BoulderBack - Counter by dropping a boulder on enemy! + Lv2 Virus - Counters with poisonous explosion when hit! + Lv2 CoffeeBean - Throws bean that speeds up cooldowns! + Lv2 PanelLance - Hits 2x1 area with panel changing slash! + Lv2 ShowStopper - Slows down enemy gauge when hit! + Lv3 FrontFlare - Blinds 3 panels ahead! + Lv1 SpikeTrap - Lays spikes that impale enemy! * Froster and Humidity now freeze enemies * Caffeine now grants haste * Reworked StunWave and ToxicWave * Reworked Anthem and Lightmass Of course there are a bunch of new Styles as well: + Lv1 Meek - Weakens target attacks! + Lv1 Float - Makes target float, ignoring panels! + Lv1 Haste - Speeds up target cooldowns! + Lv1 Brake - Slows down target cooldowns! + Lv1 Blind - Turns target blind! + Lv1 Freeze - Target is frozen, preventing movement! + Lv1 Crack - Target's panel is cracked! + Lv1 Repair - Target's panel is repaired! + Lv1 Grass - Target's panel is changed to grass! + Lv1 Ice - Target's panel is changed to ice! + Lv1 Metal - Target's panel is changed to metal! - Removed Heal-2, Heal-3, Power- and Crush-Styles! * All Styles are now either Lv0 or Lv1, and many styles have been re-balanced! Your mods can now be even more extensive: + Styles are now moddable - which means that you can create your own styles now! + Volatile Skill: Keeps draining HP + SuperArmor Skill: Prevents flinching during attacks + Rebound Attack now can have a custom drawable + Shoot Attacks can now travel tile-by-tile * Updated UI with more colors to be more readable > Other improvements: + All backgrounds now have custom panels + New background: Astrat Night + Replays of past-battles can now be watched in the Replay mode + Added automatic battle replay recording + Added indicator when getting hit by weakness element + Added Cheat and Debug settings + Battles can now be set to best of three, or best of five * Rebalanced Characters * Improved VOC UI feel * Unlock Message is now faster * Added Reset Settings button And that's all for this update, but the next one is just around the corner. In fact, this update is just the first half of the huge Crimson-Update, which was getting bigger and bigger the longer we worked on it. We decided it was getting too big for a single update and didn't want to keep you waiting any longer for a lot of stuff we could just bring you early. The next update will bring you 3 new campaigns, which further explore the world of Anikka. One of those revolves around Cress - the brave leader of Crimson Force, while another one is about Del - the calculating chief of Azure Shield! As for the third one... You'll just have to wait and see!
