New patch releasing today, notes below:
-Added "Nostalgia Mode" for the 30 yr old Boomer character (Yes, those graphics are intentional)
-Fixed bugs related to music playing in NPC HQ
-Performance improvments for all users. New users will also have lower quality settings enabled by default, these can be scaled up to higher settings in the options menu. Although lets be honest, are you really buying this game expecting amazing visuals? The 32 bit users will recieve an especially low spec default config, becasue any PC running a 32 bit OS is probably pretty low end by today's standards. Again, you can scale these to the highest quality again using the options menu in-game.
New update released today, I've included a new map avalible for all characters called "NPC HQ". Hope you like it, some other things included too which I've listed below:
-New Map (NPC HQ)
-New effects (Blue sparks shoot out of NPCs when shot, and yellow sparks come out of their heads when destroyed)
-Support for 32 bit Windows machines
Hey everyone, just released a new patch adding some new characters to the game. You can now play as the bad Orange Man himself, and step into the world of the Doomer. The Doomer character also gives a unique look to the map. In addition, you can now play as an NPC. You can use NPC mode to explore, or watch the NPC News videos playing on the TV screens throughout the map. Also I've increased the standard framerate limit to 120 FPS, although you can change this in the launch options if you want. Hope you like the update, new map coming next along with new characters and modes.
The cel shading patch mentioned in the last announcement is now live. Its not too noticeable on some objects, but helps keep a more consistent style for the more realistic looking textures like the weapons of the Zoomer and Feel Guy characters. New character update is next, along with the Linux build for the next update.
Hey everyone, an update will be released soon that adds cel shading to the game. This will hopefully reinforce that made in paint feel I was going for. Linux support for the update will come a little after the Windows one. Expect the update within 1-2 days. After that some new characters will be added and that update will come out within the next couple of weeks. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Linux support has been added to the game, its been tested on multiple Ubuntu machines prior to release, but post a comment here or in the discussions board if you have any trouble with your machine or distro.
Sorry guys, didn't realize videos were not playing on most machines. The TV screens around the map were supposed to be playing those but now they should be working. My bad
Hey everyone, just sent out the first patch.
Notes:
-Added check to set game to whatever your monitors native resolution is, you can override this with launch options if you want to.
-Added 720p, 900p, and 1080p presets in the options menu
Play as familiar characters as you take on a dystopian world occupied by NPCs masquerading as real living humans in a 3D First Person Shooter. You have been dropped into NPC Square, a walled off quarantine zone. This is a humorous, satirical game where you fight endless hordes of "NPCs" hell bent on destroying the eccentric and unique playable characters. You observe the programming of unaware NPCs by the NPC New Organization and attempt to destroy as many bots as you can to help free the world. Said saviors of the world include: Feel Guy, Chad, Virgin, a 30 yr old Boomer, a Brainlet, and a Zoomer.
