Major Update - New Game Base

It has been a long time since I have last made changes to this game. The world has seen some pretty crazy stuff, and I have been working on other projects. and now... WHX is back!

In the spirit of brevity here are the things you need to know:

  • This latest update is the start of a brand-new build of the game
  • I will release a new update at the end of each month until WHX is feature complete
  • Because this is the first release of the new build, and there isn't anything to actually do in the game as it stands, I will likely release twice in the months of February and March, so keep yours eyes peeled

Thank you everyone for your patience, and I look forward to developing something fun and exciting for you all to enjoy.

    Please stand by...

And hurry, because this sale won't last forever, but the memories you make this summer playing Werewolf Hunter X will!

    Content Update 3

    Updates:

    • Full controller support
    • A brand new crafting system
    • Beginning cave area now contains a Recipe Creation Tutorial
    • New GUI and HUD system
    • New Dialogue system, completely redone from scratch
    • Lots of code optimization for better performance on all platforms
    • General performance increased
    • Player movement speed increased further
    • Character Design improvements

    Bug Fixes:

    • Fixed a bug that broke the game when right trigger was pressed
    • Fixed a bug that stopped player movement from being restored when not in menus
    • Fixed some alerting text bugs
    • Lots of general bug fixes throughout the game

The takeaway for CU3 is the new Recipe Creation Tutorial. This should help clear up any issues or confusion that people had with this main game mechanic. Because of this new tutorial all previous character saves will no longer work. Please delete any old characters. **We debated for a time about this, but ultimately decided that because we're in EA we should focus more on additional content rather than backwards compatibility. If anyone has concerns please speak up and we will do our best to address them. More fun stuff in the coming weeks, so keep watching, and thanks!

The biggest thing to take away from this update is the new save/load system. Because of this new system all previous character saves and recipes will no longer work. EA Release Day!!!

    Merry Release Day!!!

We wanted to start out by wishing everyone pleasant winter holidays, and say thanks to anyone who has considered purchasing and helping contribute to Werewolf Hunter X.

We just hit the Release button! What a super awesome thing to do! Its Early Access release, but it is still a VERY cool thing to do.

Its going to be a long process, but we will fill the time with feedback requests, content updates, bug fixes, contests, and more. Our goal is to ensure the Early Access period of Werewolf Hunter X is fun and exciting for everyone!

The first thing wed like to do is get a feel from the community as to what we should be focusing our efforts on for the coming content update. There are a lot of unfinished mechanics, features, art, and plot, so your ideas are welcomed and appreciated.

We're sure there will be a good amount of bug reports, and we will address those as quickly as possible, with game breaking bugs taking a priority, so dont worry if you run into one. Let us know by responding here or even by sending an email to Support@SeaCreatureSandwich.com.

We are very excited to hear your thoughts and ideas. Thanks!

    The SeaCreatureSandwich Team
