For a month, starting today, everyone logging in will receive some bonus stuff and buffs.
The update is mostly a technical one and includes the following things:
- Character XP rewards no longer are an accumulated flat XP, but instead add to a multiplicative component, stacking exponentially (1.002 from Bat and 1.005 from Corruption, not affected by drop quantity bonus). This is to remove the issue of having to equip xp-granting gear every time you collect a corruption.
- Added a Quest about Exiling and cleared up some requirements.
- A couple of fixes to enhanced spells, memetics and more.
A collection of event items is awarded upon entering the Anniversary event!
Come join us for celebration!
New Feature: Quests. An expanded tutorial/introduction comprised of a series of tasks with rewards, mostly aimed towards explaining the game's basic mechanics to new players.
Manual reset of Memories removed, Memories can now only be reset when Realming. Choose wisely!
"Unseen Efficiency" and "Unending Resource" Heritages have been removed from the game. You now permanently possess a bonus to Enchanting Dust and Catalyst Shards earned roughly equal to what you'd possess if you invested all of your Memories into either "Unseen Efficiency" or "Unending Resource".
New Enhancement Spells available: "Spirit Of Valor" and "Conjure Void Elemental", available from completing the "Redemption" and "The Great Crusade" Quasi-Realms, respectively.
New Imprint: Forged Affinity. Allows you to retain some of your Attribute Points after Realming.
And a couple of bugfixes and balance tweaks.

In addition, there's a bonus to Bats, Crafting and Enchanting Dust that'll last until November 10th.
There's also quite a few gameplay changes, including:
- 8 Legacy levels and 72 new upgrades.
- Almost every Paramnesic bonus increased to around ~x3 profits up from ~x2. Some were balanced towards being useful all the way across, so the first point is weaker, but the total for 5/10 invested is higher that before.
- A new Market item: The Dust Gatherer!
Automatically collects Crafting Dust from Jars, with an extra upgrade generating additional 1 dust per minute (1440 per day), unaffected by Dust bonuses. Also Increases Crafting Dust cap.
- Correspondingly, we've increased the amount of Crafting Dust in each pack by 20% on average. If you already posses a Master, Grandmaster or Crafting pack you will receive the difference immediately upon loading.
And some bugfixes along the way.

New feature: Trophy upgrade - Exhibits
Exhibits function not unlike Breakthroughs, allowing Trophies to increase the power of their basic bonuses. Exhibits are earnable through Expeditions and drop the same way Trophies drop initially, after the corresponding Trophy has reached Legendary quality.
A couple of new enhancement Spells were introduced: Jas'Aham's Missile Storm Spell, Nightfall and Primal Power.
Exhibits also come with a new Imprint and a Paramnesic: Pseudo-Fossils, a new Imprint that allows for carryover of Exhibits, and Exaggerated Spoils, a new Paramnesic that increases Expedition rewards.
Some of the previous Enhancements have also received buffs, and Fire Ball has been reworked.

Most Classes and Pets no longer require time, offline time or idle time spent to unlock them or had it made simpler (hooray!).
And a couple of bugfixes and balance tweaks.

1.60 update, "Tools Of Usurpation", is now up.
New feature: Proficiency.
A new mechanic, allowing you to upgrade your existing items further. A new currency, called Proficiency Shards, can be earned through a new Experiment. Investing in an item increases its basic bonuses by a certain percent, depending on the stat. This power is lost upon Realming.
Some other, more minor stuff:
- 3 new Character skins.
- 3 new Pet skins.
- 4 new Orb skins.
- Nullifiers were added to the Trials' normal reward lists, along with increasing the amount of Nullifier and Disenchantment Cores gained from Rare goodies experiments.
Including some extra qol, bugfixes and optimizations.

A Solstice is occuring the Realm! Common folk pay tributes to the Gods and hope for rich crops and good luck in return. Nothing's stopping you for participating as well, though!
Collect Embers and invest them into any of the 4 Jars that are accessible through the event Jar on the main game screen to gain temporary bonuses to various resources. The Crystallized Echo mount is also once again available for purchase!

Meanwhile, we have updated the client to version 1.58.0:
- even more Offline functionality, making it pretty close to full online even for classes that have special mechanics
- Time Warps have been vastly improved, allowing to accrue Spells, Expeditions, Trials and more
- brand new set of visuals for the Spellbook, which stayed unchanged since the earliest days of Idle Wizard (which is... years)
- fancy new Orbs!
Check it out and come join us for the celebration!
Offline progress has seen a couple of significant improvements - autoclicks now count offline, based on your average autoclicks (same as Spellcasts). Auto Idle expedition now works offline up to 24h, including key-locked ones.
Renown bonuses have been boosted, and Spell Sets were made baseline (now you always possess 10 sets, same as items) and thus removed from Renown. Multiple bonuses were either moved earlier or introduced to them.
A batch of of new Character and Pet skins!
Balance tweaks - Branch of the Great Cycle is now way more powerful, do mind that the display was changed to represent the difference with a normal summoning spell, so the number might look lower than it was (in reality, it's way higher now).
Trophies now drop more readily and in higher amounts now, both normal and key-locked ones.
We've found and fixed a notorious case where Spell sets could disappear when saving other sets, which many players reported.

Hello fellow Wizards!
The previous Roadmap has long ran its course, and we're announcing the new 2024/25 Roadmap!
We've implemented the Realmcraft, Paramnesics and a whole stack of Quasi-Realms for everyone to try out and achieve new heights. The new WHAT Event completes our Event schedule, which now happen every 2 months and will keep the earned currency for the next year's one. Cursors have made a comeback, and we're intent on extending UI skins to further customize your looks. We're also planning completely new Spells that will likely compete with existing ones and offer new scalings or meta, Spell changes and Spell Enhancements that'll make existing Spells stronger or offer new functionality to them; a new Item mechanic to raise the power of existing items, and more.
As before, it's a rough estimate and it's possible we'll move or include some things if necessary.
Thank you and stay tuned!
A new Quasi Realm with a unique Class - the long-requested Cryomancer, along with its unique visuals, spells and effects. Even your game's screen shall freeze! We're also planning to release more quasis with new classes from time to time - stay tuned :) We're still intent on making an Ironsoul and Abolisher quasis to cover everyone, of course.
A lot of Summoning spells that previously served little purpose, like Conjure Elemental, Automaton or demonic summons, have been granted accumulated tags and new effects that scale off casts and/or summon efficiency, making them rather worth to have.
We have also introduced a couple of new items that help with Summoning duration to better stack these updated summons, as well as buffed some set bonuses and introduced an incantation efficiency enchant in the finger slot (finally!).
Instead of Elementals, Archon gets a completely new spell that buffs some of the pet's stats and spell charges.
It's also worth mentioning that we have made some balance changes, due to accumulating some data on how classes perform comparatively to each other, as well due to recent changes granting some classes more power where it wasn't intended.
Check it out!
It's Easter time in the Realm! The eggs feel fake, synthesized even. And Bunnies, well, those Bunnies never felt right. Send your Apprentices on an Expedition to retrieve and contain them!
You can collect eggs by by defeating Rabbits in Expedition and trade for other currencies. Eggs can be earned also in idle-expedition, with a tad lower chance.
Starting from April 16th and up to May 15th an Event will be active that includes collection of eggs, defeating evil bunnies, a small present and a buff to Crafting Dust gained to top it off!
We have also updated the game to include a new Quasi-Realm, reworked the item and spell presets and fixed a couple of bugs.
The item and spell presets are now unique to Quasis, instead of replacing your Prime presets like before. They have been reset, but you can re-import them from you Prime presets by pressing the "Inherit" button.
Come join us for the celebration!
A small content and tech patch, including a new Quasi-Realm featuring a rather different Umbramancer, a couple of new cosmetics and some balance fixes.

1.50 update, "Overture To The Collapse", is now up.
New feature: Realmcraft.
You can now select a special type of Realm upon Changing Realm - Quasi-Realms. These special Realms each have their own rules, restrictions and conditions to unlock. Instead of awarding Memories, they award Delusions - a new type of currency that you can spend on Paramnesics upgrades - a new type of upgrades not unlike Memory upgrades (now called Heritages). We will also be adding new types with new rules over time.
Some other, more minor stuff:
- Demiurge. New Ascension ability: Increases Attributes' per-point bonus' power.
- 3 new Legacy levels.
- 3 new achievements.
- All autoclicks are now calculated in bulk (critical profit and chance are averaged, shards and Pet experience (if applicable) are applied 4 times per second), the floating text now shows the total Mana gained, total clicks performed and display the average amount of crits through changing the text color from white to red (richer red corresponds to a higher percentage of crits within the total amount of clicks summarized).
We have also rehashed a part of UI to better fit the idea of different types of Realm - note the new main Scroll tab.
Including some extra qol, bugfixes and optimizations.

- New UI option: Memory presets. A separate menu that allows you to create a preset set of Memory investments.
- New UI option: Max invest catalysts. Disables the input field and instead attempts to invest into a source until shards run out.
- A couple of fixes including Relentlessness and Spell Charges preservation upon reloading.

A couple of fixes, Umbra buffs and a moderate revamp of the most tedious challenge is also on the menu.

A new item slot: Phylactery.
An empowered gem not unlike a Soul Shard. They bestow bonuses that scale off the Character level and usually combine positive effects with a negative one.
We've also added the long-promised Calendar window - click the small calendar icon in the bottom right-ish corner you'd usually look up the weekly or event details on to check on our Event and Weekly schedule!
Regional prices are now a thing!
A renewed Steam page, along with the new, up-to-date, trailer is also here now.
2 new Triumphs to achieve!
Check it out!
Corruption Feature. It's new Collectable type - can reward Relics, Alteration Sands, Crafting Dust, Memetic Splinters, Ingots and Ink, Breakthroughs, Pet and Character experience (a new, separate bonus that adds flat experience amount based on your Character experience totals) . Trials and Experiments no longer yield Relics (so you're no longer obliged to wrap your head around dumping them en masse or not - feel free to!). Stacks up to 12 instances (~day, offline too!). Spawns once per 125 minutes.
Bats also yield Character experience the same way now.
Some bugfixes, like accounting for multi-enchanting for Trials, or finally fixing an esteemed 3 years old bug that made Innovation grant half the Research item craft progress on crits instead of doubling it (as intended).
And a new Triumph!
Check it out!
The Harvest season is here! Common folk celebrate their rich crops and enjoy the fruits of their labour. Wizards participate, too!
Collect Mystery Fruits and exchange them for goods. Fruits can be earned by both collecting them off the screens and by completing Trials. Both sources of the fruits accumulate the amount they can yield for up to 24 hours!

Come join us for the celebration!
Tech and QoL patch!
New offline feature: Spellcasts! They now count during offline time (only actual time with the game closed counts, doesn't include Timewarps or Wormholes). This works through using your current spells' cast rate - which means this also includes casts gained through others means like Berzerker, Jas'Aham's Missile Storm, etc.
We've enabled custom cursors for the first time since Temporal Conflux update - years have passed since then! You can enable/disable them in the options.
Animated backgrounds have been visually intensified, since we've received feedback that animations were hard to notice.
A lot of bugfixes and small changes like Cataclysm's charges and being able to invest all Memories with an alt-click into uncapped Memory Upgrades.
And a new Triumph!
Check it out!
A big visuals and GUI update! We've implemented animated elements for more than half of existing backgrounds and a new animated background. The Character selection screen was reworked to give you a much better overview. The orbs and background previews can now display their respective animations, orb preview reworked to use new visuals.
Automatic expeditions are now a cheap, separate purchase and can be also upgraded to improve the win chance. If you had Renown VI before - you will automatically get it. Renown VI is now also cheaper and more powerful, but doesn't grant auto expeditions anymore.
Alteration sand purchases are now x1.5 more efficient per Relic spent.
Check it out!
A bunch of stuff all around!
Innovation Trial rework: Breakthroughs. When you have all Research items at Legendary, Innovation trial will instead reward you with Breakthroughs that increase the bonus of a Research item for the rest of the Realm. The reward is distributed at random, but the chance for the specific Research to receive the Breakthrough is directly tied to the item's current enchant level - with enchant level 0 guaranteeing it does not receive them.
- 5 new Triumphs
- You can now set a personalized name for Item and Spell sets!
And a lot more various qol and fixes, from simultanous item+spell sets switching or finally making Tempest's 7th spell shown on spellsets and having a hotkey to reworking Scales of Appraisal and buffing Zenith!

Come join us for the celebration!
1.40 update, "Fall From Grace", is now up.
Godly powers and fundamental laws of the world are increasingly distorted and twisted, providing new opportunities and spelling disaster at the same time.
New Feautre: Spell Memetics
Allows you to exchange Memetic Splinters for Memetic Ink. The Ink can be spent on Spells, increasing their Efficiency ang granting them additional perks depending on Spell type, while also making them cost more Spell Shards (or taking longer to charge, in case of Spells that charge on non-percent basis). It can also be used to increase your Shards Pool maximum size. Investing in either also provides you Spell Memetic Mastery progress, which also grants extra perks.
- 8 new Legacy levels.
- 19 new Achievements.
- Source Memetics don't reset on Realm Change anymore and cannot be reset with Nullifiers within the run. They can now be reset upon exile along with Spell Memetics, returning Ingots and Ink.

Hello fellow Wizards!
Since the previous Roadmap is almost at its end (sorry for the delay!) and we're scheduled on launching Spell Memetics soon - we've prepared a new Roadmap for you to look through.
So here's one for 2023. As before, it's a rough estimate and it's possible we'll move or include some things if necessary.
We've also practically finalized a stable schedule of annual events, and will introduce them in form of a Calendar. Each of those will feature an entry gift, a buff across its duration, a special mechanic to earn more rewards - same as always. Specific events also gift skins or temporary boosts. Be aware that currency will now carry over to the next year's event of the same type, in case you have some leftover.
We're also starting a survey for players, to learn a bit about how do you play the game and what things you enjoy - to help us develop the thing a bit. Please complete them if you can spare a minute!

Hello fellow Wizards!
We've seen some requests and questions about our future plans, and in general feel like some of the players are not really sure if the game is even updated anymore. So! We've decided we need a public roadmap.
Here's one for 2022. Naturally, it's a rough estimate and it's possible we'll move or include some things if necessary.
A Solstice is occuring in the Realm! Common folk pay tributes to the Gods and hope for rich crops and good luck in return. Nothing's stopping you for participating as well, though!

The Cosmic events have not gone unnoticed. Observed and speculated upon by denizens of new Realms, these event bring even greater opportunities to the Wizards.
New feature: Ascension forms
Ascension forms is a further evolution of Class system. Ascensions can be performed upon reaching e1100 Mysteries. Each Ascension form has a roster of 3 classes that are eligible to Ascend into it. Upon Ascending, you:
- retain all the spells and character abilities of the base class
- gain a certain (fixed) Spell from the 2 other potential Classes
- gain a new Ascension form ability
- gain a new Ascension form Spell
- gain a unique, powerful feature
Currently, there are 2 forms available: The Tempest and The Demiurge
The Tempest form can be accessed by Archon, Oni and Desolator.
Tempest's unique feature is a 7th Spell Scroll
The Demiurge form can be accessed by Heretic, Shaman and Temporalist
Demiurge's unique feature is a 9th Mana Source - Pocket Universe
In the future, we will release at least 2 more Ascension forms, so that each T2 class will have a choice of Ascension.
Also included:
- 3 new Psychic Cacophony perks
- New memory for higher Enchant cap
- Desolator Alchemist-spells cheapening upgrades
- New save backup system - for now it's external, to allow for recovery of bad corruption cases. If it proves to be efficient we'll do our best to integrate it directly.

1.25 update is now up.
A new tab of Memory upgrades called Imprints was added. Memory Upgrades from this tab are mostly aimed at easying the transfer from one Realm to another - from preserving Catalysts to granting you more Memories upon switching Realms. They utilize a separate pool of Memories, equal in amount to the Memories utilized for old Memory Upgrades.

1.23 update is now up.
New feature: Minor Gods.
Minor Gods are now available at e1000 Mysteries mark. These new Gods provide bonuses to a variety of stats and work similarly to the usual Pantheon Gods, with the exception of leveling method - instead of gaining experience on their own, they leech it off their "parent" Gods as long as they (new minor ones) are active. The leeching speed is twice the speed of experience gain by old Gods.
Renown II now grants +1 to the max amount of chosen Gods. All other same bonuses in Renown levels increased by 1, up to 3 (was 2).
Two new Memories that increase the cata/edust-derived multipliers to Memories gained. Time multiplier from Memories formula changed.
Desolator and Heretic balance changes.
And some other minor stuff and fixes.
Check it out!

Patch V1.10 is live!
With a bunch of new stuff available:
- Utilize a new type of currency to augment your Void Traps. When you unlock Memetics, a new mode for your traps will become available. Those do not grant Void Mana, but instead provide bonuses, and possess experience and levels. The bonuses include Void profits, mana per entity, Traps' experience and spawn speed and increase with the Trap's level. They accumulate a new type of entities (called Echoes) over time, which, when collected, provide experience to their respective trap. You are still able to access old Void Traps by switching those inside the Memetics menu, and they still function in the background for the purposes of Radiance, Voidmancer ability etc. The Echoes accumulate slowly, and stack up to 5 (15 with a new memory upgrade), so you only need to check on them once in a long while. They also work offline.
- We're removing Super-crits and have rebalanced basic crits to compensate the potential profit loss. The reason for this is Supercrits are pretty unstable in terms of profits, work a bit weird and hard to understand.
- The crafting dust income is now higher than it was in the pre-Realms part. The amount is tuned to it's the same as before once all upgrades are maxed.
- The Memories Upgrades are massively reworked. There is 10 new upgrades available, and overall amount of profit available is greatly increased. However, Memory Upgrades are now locked by total amount of Memories earned on individual basis, meaning a set of them is available from start, and a lot of later ones open up as you earn more and more Memories.
(This means that Memories invested are reset for everyone. Re-invest wisely.)
- We're finally adding a big set of new higher-level achievements like total buildings etc. suitable for higher Mysts levels, and a few more Legacy levels.
- 19 new skins, and skin inheriting for the Pets similar to what Character classes have.
Greetings, fellow Wizards!
Patch V1.05 is live!
- A major rework of Expeditions, with a deck-building mechanic, available spells roster expanded drastically, and new content like monsters, enemy spells, locations and a couple of new combat mechanics added.
- Pet Skins! A lot of you have been asking about this for ages, and they're finally there. We don't have too many on start (after all, characters skins have been built up to what they're now for years), but now we have the ability to add a couple here and a couple there. Abolisher and Archon pets supported, too! We're starting with a unique skin for each T3 Pet and around 10 simpler skins for various T1-T2 Pets, and will be adding more over time with small patches.
- A rework of Experiments. This has been a long time coming, we've remade the one unified Experiment into separate categories with uneven or single-type costs, and thus are attempting to make Crafting Dust colors unique in purpose (unlike now, where they're basically the same). Our goal is to also implement some more ways to spend Crafting Dust in future.
And some other minor fixes and updates.
Major note: Due to this, we're abolishing the Trade Week!
With the way the crafting will work from now on, trading with 100% efficiency won't allow us to make the dust feel unique, and will allow for abuses that we won't be able to balance out. Naturally, it'll be replaced by another, new one not related to trading Dust.
A few weeks later we'll be publishing the second part of the patch (v1.1), which will introduce a new core-game mechanic along with some more content and balancing based on feedback.
Core mechanics: - 3 additional item presets. - 32 new upgrades. - Green catalysts gain cap now starts at 1000. This can be increased by a new memory upgrade. - Completed trials value can now be increased by new memory upgrade. - Spells' and Weapons' values that scale from mana sources now include additional sources (like the ones gained from red catalysts). Balance: - Some of the upgrades costs rebalanced. - Convertion rates into memories rebalanced. - Green catalysts drop in expedition reduced overall. Blue catalysts drop in expedition increased. - Catalysts drop in expeditions now diminish as you earn more within a short period of time. The amount is then gradually restored over time. - Idle expedition now continues the run up to 100% after losing a battle instead of abandoning it. No reward is given for the lost encounter, but further ones are unaffected. - Time of idle expedition is now based on encounter difficulty and your level. - Forge. Potential amount of slots increased to 12 (was 6), base amount of slots is 2 (was 1). - Forge. Base speed of recovery doubled. - "Expanded Mind" Memory upgrade. Maximum level increased to 10 (was 2), the cost was reduced and rebalanced accordingly (base cost is greatly reduced, but the overall sum is now greater). - "Temper The Steel" spell. Passive effect reworked, the old effect is now scales from current amount of casts (changed to an active effect). New persistent effect. - "Gem Resonance" spell. Now scales from mysteries. - "Voidlight Amalgam" pet. Void profits bonus scaling increased. - "Planned Progress" Memory upgrade. Now increases Idle and Offline bonus. - Mechanos Apexis pet. Scaling from pet active time when it's over 3 days is now stronger. - Abolisher main ability bonus increased. - Alchemist main ability bonus increased. - Ironsoul main ability and berserk stance bonuses increased. - Desolator elixirs bonuses increased. - Temporalist. Scale from time and skipped time increased. And many bug fixes.
It's Easter Season in Idle Wizard!
We at TwoWizards wish you a Happy Easter!
Starting from April 12th and up to May 18th we'll be holding an Event that includes collection of eggs, defeating evil bunnies, a small present and a buff to rune generation to top it off!
We've also reworked how the Class portraits are shared among other classes - many are now available to Classes that previously could access them.
There's also an ongoing Event run by community in the Discord, so if you have spare time - take a look!

Despite all the efforts of the Realm's wizards, the world continues to destabilize. Wilderness grows restless, its denizens - aggressive, strong and weird. Strange beings dwell beneath the cities, in deep swamps and abandoned castles. Magical and temporal anomalies further twist and pervert the creatures of the Realm, and give birth to new, even more dangerous ones.
It's time for the Wizards of all lands to set out on a journey across the lands - and fight!
New Feature: Expedition.
New game sub-mode. Leave the comfort of your cozy wizard tower and venture out into the wild, encounter and defeat various creatures, earn trophies, gather catalysts, learn new spells, grow stronger and progress further.
The Expedition is a separate game mode which features card game-style battles with monsters. It has a separate power progress, and is connected to the main game mainly through the collection of red catalysts and items.
Do try it with "particle effects" turned on!
New Item Slot: Trophy.
You have a chance to get new items, if you have the items feature unlocked, by killing monsters in Expedition. Each type of monster has its own item type. First time you unlock the common quality item, and gain progress at improving quality of item each time you get same trophy from monster afterwards. Chance and how much progress you get is based on monster level.
New Catalyst type: Red catalysts, which give you free mana sources. Main source of new catalysts is Expedition.
Core mechanics:
- 12 new items (Trophy slot).
- 10 new achievements (connected to Expedition).
- 6 new monsters in Valor Trial.
- Catalysts now have a soft cap regarding the amount received. You can't get more than this value from a single source. To reflect these changes, your catalysts were reverted back into shards. In cases where the catalyst amount would apply the aforementioned cap, the sum will be reduced accordingly.
- Attribute resets removed from the game. All your resets converted into relics. Now each attribute reset during a run cost 1 relic.
Balance:
- Paragon 4. Bonus removed, now it unlock Expedition.
- Paragon 47, 57. Bonus blue catalysts power reduced to 0.5% (was 1%)
- Paragon 38 now increase green catalysts power by 12.5%
- Paragons 39, 45, 51, 58, 64 now increases red catalysts power by 10% (additive) (1.5 efficiency total)

UI:

There are two types of catalysts, a lesser one, granting you cumulative bonus for each obtained, and a greater one, granting you multiplicative bonus for each one. Both are applied at the same time, and are carried over exiles. You can obtain them from multiple sources, but the most reliable one is completing Trials of Valor. New Trial mode: Trial of Valor As various threats emerge throughout the world, you can use your Crystal Ball for divining and engaging them from the safety of your tower. You fight using three types of attacks, and each threat is constantly changing it's resistances to various types - make sure to try and use the one it's not protected from at the moment. Each attack type has limited charges which can be replenished instantaneously by spending a Trial Rune. The most prominent reward for completing Trials of Valor are Mana source catalysts.
