Happy Chinese New Year! / Gong Xi Fa Cai

Gong Xi Fa Cai to everyone or should I say Happy Chinese New Year to everyone! We just wanted to take this opportunity to greet everyone, as well as to share some information on where we are with the game at this moment.

DEVELOPMENT

Development is ongoing though the pace has still been a bit slow but steady. The new devs on the project have been learning the engine and they are gradually starting to improve the old levels. Bug fixing has also slowly started.

ANIMATION

New animations are being made to replace many of the existing animations. Our goal here is to make the animations smoother and more exciting to watch.

OVER THE SHOULDER VIEW FEATURE

We added a feature where you can lock the view to an over-the-shoulder view similar to the view in Marvel's Midnight Suns. Of course this is entirely optional.

NPC AI

We have tested and implemented the first version of our NPC AI. This is still a work in progress as we refine it. Major NPCs will have these feature, as well as the Graywalker NPC themselves. Below is a short sample video of it. [previewyoutube=WLCVCpGhIzA;full][/previewyoutube]

IMPROVED QUEST SYSTEM

We've created and implemented a robust quest system. It will allow players to track all their quest, including those that are current and those that have been finished. It will also allow them to manage all their existing quests/missions. [previewyoutube=aL6rgT2BVJE;full][/previewyoutube]

CHARACTER CREATION

The character creation system is existing and functional. It still needs a bit more refinement and polish. In addition, more content is also being created as choices. Described below is the process of character creation. Take note that the character creation screenshots below are works in progress and are using some placeholders. The character process begins by deciding to use a pre-developed character as your avatar or a custom created avatar character. Right now you can only have 1 custom character and this is by design. You are supported by other NPC characters but these NPC characters are customizable. In a way, this is similar to how it is in BG3.
If you want to choose a pre-generated character, you simply scroll the options and choose whichever character you want.
If you create your own character, you will need to choose your race first. Once you have chosen your race, you will choose whether your appearance is a man or a woman from that race.

Once you have chosen your Race, you get to choose your appearance. Your appearance choice will determine how your character model will look in game. We hope to put a large number of choices for you for each race. We still are looking to do a fully customizable character creation but at the moment, this is how it will be.

After choosing your race and appearance, you can now move on to the next stage and choose your path.

After choosing your Path, you will now get to distribute your Attributes. Distribute them to the attributes until you've spent all the points available.
Once you've distributed all your Attribute points, you will now then get all the skills with your available Skill Points.
Once you've finished distributing your Skill Points. You now need to choose your special Abilities. There are 2 kinds of Abilities to get: Path Abilities and General Abilities.
Once this has been done, your character is near finish. Just choose your name and this character is ready to start the game.

CHARACTERS

As we mentioned from the last time, we are adding several more playable characters from the existing 20 characters in the game. For some of them, we are now doing their 3d models while some are still in the concept stages as we finalize them. Below are a list of those characters: Grawl, a Cambion Armsman who grew among the tribal people living in the Grey Wastes. Shunning technology as a whole, he focuses on using his great strength effectively.
Volkov, a Human Russian Tech who happens to be a former Astronaut who escaped from the ISS space station via an escape pod and survived when it crash landed back to earth.
Ten Gun Tommy, a Hunterborne Agent who is also a master gunslinger. He is called Ten Gun because he keeps at least 10 guns on his person at all times.
Rhapsadia, a blind Faechilde Arcanist. Her magic has allowed her to sense and "see" despite being physical blind.
Savanah, a Faechilde Slayer. She has always lived for the hunt, and treating the whole supernatural world as her safari.
Eskrima, a Faechilde Martialist who is a master of the Filipino martial arts.
Celestia, a Nephilim Armsman who's background is still a mystery.
Take note that these characters are not yet final and other characters are also in development. We are currently revising, improving and finalizing these characters. We've also started creating new models for the existing Graywalkers and we hope to share them soon once they are ready.

PRICE ADJUSTMENT

We plan to also permanently lower the price of Graywalkers Purgatory. We are still finalizing the total amount but expect it to be 30-50% lower than its current price. CONCLUSION So that's what we have for you now as an update. We shall share more as we move forward in development on our next update in about a month from now. We hope the info we have shared will excite everybody for what is to come in the re-release of the game in 2025. Thank you for your continued support.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, APOLOGIES AND NEW BEGINNINGS

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

First of all, let me take this opportunity to say Happy New Year to all! We hope that you all had a joyous Christmas and that you will have a prosperous 2024 ahead.

APOLOGIES

Next is we would like to apologize for being quiet the past year. Our primary reason was that the company was a heartbeat away from being dead for quite some time due to financial issues. We had no choice but to refocus our efforts to doing outsource work to resuscitate the company. This of course, did not happen overnight, and it took us more than a year to get back to a functional state. The second reason was we were in all honesty burnt out with Graywalkers at that time. We worked on the project for 5 years and unfortunately It did not do well due to its unpolished state, the pandemic (we released 1.5 months before the start of it), lack of marketing and many other factors. The final reason was we simply did not know what to tell you at that point in time. We had already announced at that time that we were having financial difficulties, and we couldn't give you an answer or solutions to our problems. Despite all of these, these are not good excuses to disappear for that long. We handled the situation poorly and we should have continued to communicate the situation regardless of how we felt at the time. The only thing we can do now is to apologize to all of you and somehow make it up to you as best we can. Again, we sincerely apologize to all of you who have trusted us by supporting the game. We hope you can forgive us and give us another chance to make it up to you all.

NEW BEGINNINGS

As 2024 rolls in, we look forward to a new beginning, and we mean this in many more ways than one. Below we will list our plans for the future of Graywalkers:

RE-RELEASE

We plan to Re-Release Graywalkers Purgatory under a new name and as a new product in 1st quarter 2025. We wanted a fresh start and an opportunity to try again with the project but with more upgrades, better content and a more polished state. We will also reduce the original scope of the game to a more reasonable state. Our original plan had been too ambitious so we will reduce its scope and do a final release and then just add free DLC content to bring it closer to our intended vision. The game will be repackaged as Graywalkers: Genesis. Consider this as Graywalkers Purgatory Version 1.5.
Everybody who purchased the game already will get a copy of Graywalkers Genesis

FREE

So its pretty much just a continuation, but with the perks of us being able to hopefully bring in new players and at least have an opportunity to recoup the cost of continuing development on the game. We won't be taking down Graywalkers Purgatory until the Re-Release is ready. The game will also be released under different publishers depending on the platform. We have come to accept that publishing is not really our strength, and we are not built to do it properly. So we will be working with different groups to help us do better in this area.

GRAYWALKERS GENESIS FEATURES

With the re-release, below are the features and content to expect:
  • The general format and structure of the game will not change and in essence will still be the same game but with upgrades and improvements.
  • LESS CONTENT BUT MORE POLISH - The announced content from before will be reduced to a more achievable state. We will announce soon how much content can be expected in the initial release. Our goal now is polish rather than expand content. We will be adding additional content after release as FREE DLCs to give us time to do polish on these content.
  • CAMPAIGN FOCUS - It will feature and focus on the Campaign, rather than the Missions aspect of the game. We've actually done a lot of this already, but plan to revisit and improve these. (Ongoing)
  • GRAPHICS UPGARDE - Graphical upgrades will be implemented. We plan to increase the quality of the game visually. This includes improved or changed 3d models, improved environments and improved visual effects. (Ongoing)
  • NEW GRAYWALKERS - New Graywalkers will be added to the current roster that has been released. This includes some of the announced Graywalkers before but will also include new characters that were not part of the original plan.
  • NEW VIEW - The game now has an option to change how you view the game. There is its traditional top-down isometric view but we've also added a closer over-the-shoulder view similar to how characters are viewed in Midnight Suns. (Ready)
  • AI NPCS - AI NPCs are currently being added. In cooperation with an AI company, we have co-developed a new NPC AI system to allow you to talk to your team and major NPCs more freely. This is to allow players to have a more interactive conversation with the characters in the game. This is already functional in the game but still needs refinement. (Partially Implemented)
  • BIGGER ENEMIES - we had implemented multi-grid characters which means the introduction of larger interactive pieces on the battlefield. This means your enemies will be bigger and more exciting to go up against. (Ready)
  • IMPROVED AUDIO - we have started work on new music and sound effects for the game. We also have plans to include voice for key characters. This however is not yet final as we discuss if this can be properly implemented with the time and resources we currently have.
  • IMPROVED ANIMATIONS - we have started upgrading the animations in the game which will result in smoother and more dynamic animations.
  • BETTER STORY AND INTERACTION - we hope to improve the current storyline and improve also the interactions between you and the NPCS. With AI conversations combined with Scripted Interaction, we hope to make the roleplaying aspect of the game stronger and more enjoyable.
  • PRELUDES DLC - we plan to remove Preludes temporarily from the launch but will add them as DLCs. We realized that though this would add greatly to the content and background of the character, there isn't enough time to create a mini-story for each character.
Though these are not the only features we plan to add to the game, the ones above are the ones that we are confident to add by the game's re-release.

FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS

With us rebuilding the game, we would like to invite all of you to help us with this task. We want you to give us suggestions and comments on what you like and don't like and even ideas of new features to add. We can then consider these ideas especially those that are good or those that many will point out as issues to be fixed or changed.

BETA ACCESS TO BUILD

We will also be sharing access with existing users to the Beta Builds when they become ready. This will give all of you the opportunity to try the game earlier than the general public and will have the opportunity to review the game and give us feedback to improve it.

PROMISE FOR BETTER COMMUNICATION

Lastly, we promise to do better with communication and not disappear again. We will continue to give you updates about the state of the game, good and bad. Thank you again for your continued support especially for those who did not lose hope even when we failed you. Your belief in us was the catalyst to reignite and strengthen our desire to complete the game.

Content Update #2 to Be Delayed By A Few Weeks

Greetings Graywalkers! We will make this announcement short and straight to the point. We are announcing this now so you will be informed that Content Update #2, which we have titled "The New Frontier" will be delayed by a couple of weeks. The reason for this is that in the past 2 months, more than half the team were either sick from covid or had been quarantined. This was an unforeseen situation and it had adversely affected our capability to do work as a team during that time. The game continues to be built but is only now getting back on track fully as the team members recover and get out of quarantine. Though we cannot yet give an official release date at this time, our target is to move it only by the amount of time we lost. This means a delay of 4-6 weeks at most from our intended release date. On a good note, we plan to open beta access to the game in progress in late November so people who are willing can take a look at the game already. We will post more about this soon. We truly apologize for the delay. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Graywalkers Purgatory: The New Frontier coming in November 2021

Greetings Graywalkers! I know it's been a while since you've heard from us and we apologize for that. However, we do bring news of great import to all of you. We've toiled the past months and we've rebuilt parts of the game to ensure that we will soon be bringing you closer to the game that we promised. In November 2021, we will finally Graywalkers Purgatory: The New Frontier. We've felt that the game update will change everything, and in a good way. It's like you will be getting a new game from what you've been playing before. Aside from fixing many of the problems that have plagued the game in the past, we are finally bringing you the features that will truly make this game a worthy RPG. You can expect the following in the coming update.

  • Experience A Single Player Campaign through the first Region of Purgatory. (out of 4)
  • Create your own Avatar character. Customize your character's Race, Class, Abilities and more
  • Go on at least 50+ Missions within REgionscape 1 alone (Expect over 200+ Missions total)
  • Find over 1000+ pieces of items and gear such as weapons, armor, accessories, ammo, consumables, and salvageable items.
  • Find unique pieces of powerful equipment hidden all over the land to give your heroes the edge they need in the battle for humanity
  • Talk to dozens of NPCs all across Regionscape 1 of Purgatory
  • Encounter many monsters and enemies of varying types both as organized missions or as random encounters.
  • Earn Experience to level up all your characters and choose how you want to improve them.
  • Trade what you find all over the region and get yourself the Barter units and improved gear you need
Please do understand though that this update, despite being a large one, does not still complete the game as we intend it to be. There are more Regions to come that you will be exploring after this one, as well as additional features. Do know that things will continue to be slow as we have now decided to focus more on quality rather than speed. Also, we want to assure you that quitting making this game will not be happening so please don't think that we will do so. In the meantime, we believe that what we will bring you in November will keep you satisfied till the next one comes. If you guys have any questions, please feel free to contact us through the comments section here, email us directly or visit us on our social pages. One more thing, we will be having a sale with this announcement so please tell your friends about us. Thank you to all of those who continue to support us and believe in us.

CONTENT UPDATE #2 RELEASE DATE MOVED BY 2-3 MORE MONTHS

Greetings everyone! It is now February and we know some of you might have been waiting for the release of Content Update #2 featuring the Preview to the Single Player Campaign. Unfortunately, we want to inform everybody that we are delaying the release for another 2-3 months. We know that this situation is not ideal but we felt it was for the best. We are tentatively looking at releasing it in early May 2021 for the following reasons: 1) We want to take more time to work properly on it and test the game more before we release it. This time, we plan to test them thoroughly and we simply want to focus more on quality. 2) We want to improve the quality of the models and textures in the game, as well as a few other aspects. We got the feedback and we looked at it and found that we can still improve it in many ways. 3) Our team has gotten a bit smaller, which means our development cycle has also become a bit slower. Unfortunately with the current state of covid and the world's economy, we were not spared from the negative effects of the pandemic. Nonetheless, those who remain are steadfast and dedicated to finishing this game and making it better than it is now. So, we want to apologize for this delay. We will do our best so that by the time May rolls in, the update will be ready for you all and we will not delay further. In the meantime though, we will be releasing updates on our socials regarding the game such as screenshots, videos and dev blogs. For more regular updates, our socials are below: Facebook - https://web.facebook.com/Graywalkers Twitter - @graywalkersgame Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/dreamlordsdigital/ Try and follow these accounts to get regular updates. We've also included a few teaser screenshots below. Again, Thank you all for your continued support and we hope you all understand.

Content Update #2 Coming in February 2021

Belated Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We hope you had a great time with your friends and family during your thanksgiving dinners. We have some good news for everybody. I wanted to take this opportunity to announce that the next major update, Content Update #2, will release in early February 2021. This update will feature primarily the preview release of the Single-Player Campaign. Originally, we were thinking of releasing this feature upon full release but we've decided to release it and add on content with regular updates instead until the full release is ready. This means you will now be able to create your own character avatar in the game and you will be able to explore the world of Graywalkers Purgatory.

CONTENT UPDATE FEATURES

Here are a few things to expect with Content Update #2.
  • Single Player Campaign Access - this will not yet be the full campaign but it will contain a significant part of it. From the point we release this, we will update it with small updates every month.
  • Character Creation - you will be able to make your own character avatar that will be the Chosen One, the hero tasked to find all the other Graywalkers and to lead the fight to reclaim the world from the supernatural.
  • Quest / Mission Tracking - as you go through the game, there will be a system in place to help you manage and track all the different missions you'll be finding in the game.
  • 15+ Locations - by the release, there will be at least a minimum of between 15-20 locations on the map that you can visit. Some of these are the same locations you've seen in the mission while some are entirely new locations you have not yet seen. Take note though that unlike in the missions, each map has more to explore now. Fully exploring each map may reveal some secret locations.
  • 15 Recruitable Characters - there will be at least 15 playable characters that will be readily available to be found to be recruited in the campaign. More will be added as more locations will be added to the world. Many of these are those revealed in the Missions Mode while some have not yet been shown. Take note though that the characters from the Missions may differ slightly to their counterparts in the campaign. They may have different stats, levels and abilities in the campaign.
  • Sub-Races - we will be introducing sub-races for some of the available races. Initially, this system was for the Faechilde but later on, we decided to expand some of the other races as well. Not all will be available right away but the initial version will be available. For example, the Faechilde can choose if her Fae bloodline will be from a Fairy, a Djinn, a Salamander, a Sylph, a Nymph, a Giant
  • Character Portraits & Game Avatar - you will be able to choose from over a score of character portraits and in-game avatars. Your choice of portrait will determine which avatar you will have in-game. Take note that this is the initial version of the character creator. As we go along, we intend you to be able to customize the look of the in-game avatar to a certain degree but this will probably be available closer to the full release.
  • In-Game Economy - you should be able to start selling and buying from specific locations in the campaign. All the stuff you find all across the wastes of Purgatory will now have a value in Barter Units (BU) that you can use.
  • New Creatures - New creatures will be released with the next update. All the ones you've seen in the game thus far will be there but we will also be adding a large number of new creatures to populate the world. This includes new types of vampires, werewolves, zombies, demons, monsters and supernatural creatures.
  • New Items - needless to say, new items will also be added from those that have already been seen in-game. Many of them are already in the game but have not yet been seen. With the campaign, a lot more of these will be available or found. These items will be a mix of weapons, armor, consumables and junk items.
  • Graywalker Gifts - with the release of the campaign, your character and the other recruitable Graywalkers will have what we call their Graywalker Gifts. These are special abilities that make each one unique as well as marking them as true Graywalkers. For your in-game character/avatar, you will get to choose from many different kinds of abilities that will be your signature ability. The other recruitable Graywalkers will have their Gifts chosen already for them but you will still have the option to improve it (or not) the way you want it to be. These gifts that the characters have can be upgraded as you level up if you so chose to make them even more powerful or versatile.
  • New Abilities - new abilities will also be made available in the campaign, Some abilities may also be removed or streamlined to balance it out. These abilities will be available for you to customize your character as you level up from experience.

SCREENSHOT SNEAK PEEK

Below is a sneak peek at the character creation screen. Please take note that these are not yet final and are still subject to change. These however show already the direction of how the character creation screens will look like. Character Creation Race Selection Screen
Character Creation Path Selection Screen
Character Creation Attribute Distribution Scene
Please take note that all of what we've shown here are still works in progress so they may still change upon release of the update. Also, the features included may also change depending on the circumstances by that time. Some features may be removed and some may be added so please be patient until we announce the final list of features a few weeks before release in January. Thank you everybody and we hope the news we announced today will excite everybody!

Graywalkers Purgatory Content Update #1 is Now Live!

    The Graywalkers Purgatory Content Update #1 is the game's first major update since its release in Early Access several months ago. There have been minor updates but this is the first one that drastically improves the game both in features and content. The patch notes can be checked here; https://store.steampowered.com/newshub/app/1003370/view/2735326880614045533 The details in the patch notes show the key features that were included with this patch which include the much awaited Overwatch feature, loot box highlighting, improved base inventory management, and many other smaller much needed features. In terms of content, below is a summary of the key content that was added;

    • Today, 11 new missions were added with another 3 arriving before the end of September. This brings the total missions to over 20+ missions available. Starting next month, we will also continuously add additional missions as they become ready. We are targeting that by the end of the year 2020, there will be between 30-40 missions available in the game. Take note that some missions are part of a bigger story arc. For example, the werewolf (Mooncursed) missions are connected clearly. This is the same with the others but its possible they make intersect in the future. As we release more of the missions, the more you will understand the world and the people that inhabit it.
    • With the missions, we introduced several sample missions which can be resolved through non-combat means. Also, there is a mission that there is no clear right or wrong, you as a player will have to decide what to do. Lastly, there is a mission that requires a bit of simple problem solving where that is the focus rather than combat. These missions are to showcase just a few of the types of missions that will be encountered in the Campaign mode, as well as to provide a deeper RPG aspect to the mission mode of the game.
    • We've streamlined the abilities available in the game. We're removed several abilities as well as add new ones as well. Some of the newest abilities added are the Overwatch related abilities. These abilities affect you or your opponents on how they react to Overwatch. With these, players can get abilities that will allow them to not trigger various actions or they can get abilities that will allow them to respond to these abilities basically nullifying their effectiveness. Aside from combat, leadership and tactical abilities have also been added so that non-spellcasting characters can boost their team's effectiveness in combat. At the moment, there are over 200+ player usable abilities.
    • We've added a few dozen more weapons to the game. This includes a mix of ranged and melee weapons. We're also slowly introducing the various weapon qualities to the game. This includes both positive and negative weapon qualities. I will be discussing these more in detail in another announcement very soon. We've actually released a few videos showing some of them.
    • We've added many new items to the game such as new armor, accessories, and consumable items that you can find in the game. We've slowly been adding more of them to the different loot boxes in the missions but the true volume of these will be more visible in the campaign mode. At the moment, the count is over 40+ kinds of armor, over 150+ accessories, about 130+ melee weapons, over 290+ ranged weapons, 100+ types of ammunition and variants, and about 80+ types of consumables.
    • With the new missions, we're showing new locations and environments. Exciting locations we have are particularly the Fae enchanted ruins, abandoned train stations, and the Hellzones. Of course, there are still other types of post-apocalyptic locations to visit which people are normally familiar with.
    • We've also introduced new creatures to encounter in each of the levels. You will encounter new demons, drakes, wraiths, elementals, Kapres, and others. Sometimes though, humans seem to be the most dangerous creatures you might encounter in Purgatory.
    • Of course, we cannot forget that we are now releasing several Graywalkers to use in the missions. This includes the cowgirl Texas, the bounty hunting Arwendriel, the soldier Lily Darkeyes, the dhampir assassin Edge, the tracker Scout Atalanta, the teenage genius tech Niquie and the powerful Efreet blooded Faechilde Destiny. We even included a new air scout drone called Raptor to join the team. Take note this Drone also has an Ai allowing it to learn new abilities through learning, as well as equip many drone specific items.
    • We've introduced the team's new vehicle in the game. Right now its presence is just cosmetic but later on, it will become a more interactive piece in the game.
    • We've streamlined the action unit costs of attacks and weapons. This will allow players to be able to do more in a round giving them more options on how to strategize to win.
    • We've finally introduced specific damage types for weapons. Before, they all used to be categorized as physical damage. Now there are more types such as Ballistic, Slashing, Piercing and of course Physical which now refers to blunt or force damage. Armors and spells have also been updated as well to take this into consideration though pardon us if some have not yet been converted when you encounter them. We are slowly transitioning all of them to this system. What this does is make items more diverse. For example, archaic leather armor is effective against slashing and piercing weapons but pretty much useless to physical (bashing) and ballistic damage.
    • Ranges of weapons are also slowly being tweaked. We've increased some while reduced some.
    • We've also reworked damage a bit across the board especially for firearms. We've implemented a system that is based on the weapon's various muzzle energies of the ammo combined with the firearm. For example, based on this we've reduced the damage of shotguns in general but made them accurate at short ranges but their range drops much more quickly than normal firearm increments.
    • We're slowly improving our music in the game. We've figured out a new way to create music and you will hear a few of them. Though we've kept the same rock tone of the game, we've expanded the range but kept to the edgy music that we've used for it.
    • As you go through the game, more lore dump is included. Take note that this is just a taste and the true story will be revealed in the single-player campaign. Right now though, there is a simple rough story that go through the different mission story arcs.
There may be a few things i might have missed but that's pretty much the bulk of what is in this content. Please take note that this is still an Early Access title and everything is a work in progress. Though we are hoping that there will not be many bugs, we're expecting it to be a possibility. We request that people be patient with this and we request as well to let us know about these bugs so we can fix them as fast as we can. We plan to be very vigilant about this content update the next few weeks and will upload fixes and additions as quickly as we are able. Take note that the game is now currently on sale with a 25% discount. We wanted to give many the opportunity to pick up the game now to try the improvements at a more reasonable price. So please tell your friends and family to grab a copy of the game. Even better would be why not grab a copy for them as a gift. Thank you to all the people who have been supporting the game. We love your feedback so keep them coming. To those who have just gotten the game, we hope you enjoy the game. Do know that we are still continuing to build this game and improving it to the best of our ability and capacity.

Content Update #1 Moved by 1-2 Weeks

Greetings Graywalkers. We apologize but we need to move the release of Content Update #1 by another 1-2 weeks at most. There are still a few bugs and issues that we're fixing with the game before we release it. We were not too confident yet with it so we decided to take a little bit more time to work out more of the kinks. We're hoping this will be the last postponement of the content update release. Not to worry, it's a short wait and we promise you it will be worth it. Again, we apologize and we thank you for being patient.

Content Update Moved to August 21

We wanted to announce that we are moving the release of the new Content Update #1 for Graywalkers Purgatory to August 21, 2020. We felt that we needed to do a bit more testing, balancing and polishing before we get the update in your hands. Despite the delay though, we are excited to get the game in your hands when it does. The introduction of the Overwatch feature in the game is pretty good and we've even improved it beyond other Overwatch features from other games. Characters can now get abilities that improve their capabilities with regards to overwatch. By default, overwatch triggers when any movement or attack is made by an opponent within range. The new abilities now affect how well you function with or against Overwatch. Also, we're just polishing and testing the missions we have. We will be including about 10-12 missions with the content update but we have much more ready to follow in the months to come. We are hoping to release 1-2 new missions every month at the minimum after the content update. This brings the mission count to at least 20 missions in the game In addition, the extra time will allow us to introduce a few more nice small features like an improved Inventory system, highlighting for interactive objects, and some minor improvements that we did not get to mention but have already included. So we apologize for this delay but we promise it will be worth the wait. Thank you again to all the Graywalkers out there who bought the game and continue to support us. SCREENSHOT PREVIEWS
    Arms Deal Mission
    Train on the Tracks Mission
    Playing Defense Mission
    Under the Tree Mission
    Sinister Seance Mission
    Into the Storm Mission
Extraction Mission In the upcoming days and weeks, we will be showcasing previews of what is to come in the content update. New videos and screenshots will be shared on a regular basis every few days. Be sure to check the community here, as well as our FB site. (https://www.facebook.com/Graywalkers/) Thanks again for all of you have bought the game. We are hoping this update will make the game better for you. For those who have not yet bought the game and are sitting on the fence, the content update will be a good time to do so.

GRAYWALKERS PURGATORY CONTENT UPDATE COMING SOON!

    CONTENT UPDATE #1 COMING SOON!

After several months since our launch, we are finally releasing our first major content update. This will be significant as it effectively more than doubles the content of the game from when it was released. We have a tentative release date on August 4, 2020, roughly 1.5 months away. For months we've been releasing small improvements to the game but now this update will change a lot with your gaming experience. Below are just some of the things you can expect from the content update when it releases:
    • More Missions - we wIll be adding a minimum of at least 10 more missions to the game. Take note that this is the minimum and we are hoping to release more than this. Also, after this release, we will slowly stream new missions every few weeks.
    • Additional Preludes - we will be adding a prelude story and just like with missions, we will slowly stream more prelude story every few weeks.
    • Discover More Lore - through the missions and preludes, we will start revealing more about the world of Graywalkers, its Lore, and the different stories of its inhabitants.
    • Deeper RPG & Conversations - we plan to improve the RPG experience, especially the tabletop RPG experience. We now have a new writer to help us work out the dialogues and story of the game giving them more depth and substance.
    • 7-8 New Graywalkers Released - Release of almost 10 new Graywalkers that will now be playable and available in the game. By the time the update releases, you will have a total of at least 15 Graywalkers to work with. Of course, more will be added as well in the months to come as the planned number of Graywalkers is at the very least 36 (Though are target is 40+ so you have replacements just in case your Graywalkers die)
    • Drone Characters - a new addition to the team are Drones as characters. These upgradable drone platforms will be available to fill out your character slots for the various missions. As you progress, you will find better drones and options for those drones. Like any character, you can customize it with specific gear upgrades such as armor, weapons, and accessories.
    • New Enemies - You will face many new dangers in the form of new creatures and enemies that will be available in the game. This includes other types of demons, corrupted creatures, the Faekind, and
    • New Locations - the preludes and the new missions will introduce new and interesting locales such as Hellzones, enchanted ruined cities, stormlands, fortified settlements, abandoned railways and more.
    • More Weapons & Armor - As you get deeper into the game, you will slowly discover the hundreds of weapons in the game and its variants. Not only that, but we've added also new weapons to the list including relics of the past that have power.
    • More Consumable Items & Accessories - we've added more items that you can use in the game that will affect your characters such as potions, drinks, food, medical items, and more. In addition, you can customize your character with new accessories that will improve your character's abilities.
    • Streamlined List of New and Improved Abilities - We've improved the ability list and streamlined it. We've taken out some of the unbalanced ones and included new ones that will give a better dimension to your characters. Aside from content, we are also releasing new and improved features with the update. These include some of the following below:
    • New & Improved Audio and Music - This was one of our weakest points before but we've made an effort to improve it. We've got new tools to help us create better audio for the game. Also, since we've also fixed the volume issue in our past patches, you can control if you want the music we put in blaring or just blending int the background.
    • Improved Quality of 3D Models - We've heard comments before of bad models in the game so we've taken it into consideration and started removing all the very low poly models and use only the mid to high-quality poly models. We've also improved the PBR texturing of the models. It's not all done yet but you will start to see significant improvements in their quality compared to before.
    • Improved Combat AI - we've improved the AI of the non-player characters, especially the enemies. They are now more challenging and now have more options at their disposal in challenging you.
    • Overwatch Feature - This is a feature that's been planned a long time but had not been implemented. Finally, it will be implemented into the game and it will change how combat goes significantly. It will give you more strategic options in combat as you fight through the challenges ahead.
    • Linux Version - Our Linux version will also be released before or during the content update. This is actually ready but we're trying to test it a bit more before it goes live. Our Mac version is still undergoing finalization and testing so we're not sure if it will be included with this update. Regardless, this will follow very soon though. Take note that these are not the only things going into the game. We have more planned and if it doesn't reach the content update, it will follow in succeeding minor updates. Now that you know what's to come, we encourage everybody to grab a copy now for yourself if you don't have one yet and convince your friends and family to do so. We currently have an ongoing summer sale on Steam. Avail yourself of a significant 30% percent discount and grab a copy at a very affordable price.
