Hi everyone! We're here to drop you a new update for Hypnospace Outlaw - the saves & surprises update!

To celebrate, we've got a Steam Daily Deal going for Hypnospace right now, which means you can grab the game for 75% OFF!

We've made some changes to Steam Cloud Saves, alongside some cool new stuff in-game too! Here's what you can expect to find:

• Updated the game engine to its most recent version
• Save location migrated for Steam Autocloud cloud-save support, and GlobalSettings save file is no longer synced
• Mod.io API update (they changed their API URL)
• The application window's close button is now captured by HypnOS, so when you click the [x] to close, it will prompt you to log off first
• Two additional people added to credits, we're sorry this took so long!
• New default controller layout for a better experience on Steam Deck

Hey enforcers! LONG TIME NO SEE!

Weve got a small update for you regarding Steam Cloud Saves, which weve finally enabled for Hypnospace Outlaw! Theres a couple of important details we wanted to share with you, so youre across all of it:

• Once your saves are synced via Steam Cloud, the save files uploaded to the cloud will be considered your canonical save files, and they will sync automatically (as long as you have an internet connection), overwriting any previous, local saves. If you've purchased and installed Hypnospace via Itch, GOG, or otherwise in addition to Steam, this will overwrite those save files as well!!
• Any mods installed on one device must be installed on your other device(s) BEFORE you load the save file!! Otherwise mod-related save data may be lost, and in some cases may break your save
• If youre playing on a Linux device or Steam Deck, when you load your save on a Windows or Mac, Hypii will have his text-to-speech (TTS) turned OFF, because Hypnospace on Linux does not support TTS. To resolve this, when you load your save file on your Windows/Mac device, open the Settings app -> Audio tab -> Robot Language Only: toggle to OFF; Caption All Hypii Speech: toggle to OFF.

For the last little while the team have been hard at work clearing up pesky bugs and adding in EVEN MORE neat content for you to find! Here's what's new in HypnOS v2.34: - More than a dozen unheard music tracks (these are ALL amazing) - Performance improvements - A bunch of minor fixes on pages (thank you for all your reports on these!) - Boot-up now shows "HypnOS+" - Tunebox now uses case insensitive sorting - Credits updated - Game engine updated to NWJS 0.49.0 BUGS FIXED: - Weird graphics bugs with videos (again, thank you so much for all your reports and help getting this one fixed up!) - Long splash-screen loading times on low-spec machines no longer soft-lock the game - Hammering content during a page transition no longer disables all user input - No longer possible for your Hypnocoin wallet to go into the negative - Pets can no longer poop offscreen (but they do still poop, sorry about that) - Unintentional Axx. sequence break disabled - Status bar/text above Hypnospace user pages no longer goes offscreen - Soft lock in Outlaw when pausing at specific times fixed - Issues with Tunebox music file importing fixed The soundtrack also now includes Vol. 3 of the soundtrack! Phew, this was a tough one! 'Pick a category you think Hypnospace excels in' Well... It's Steam Awards season, and you can nominate Hypnospace Outlaw! We're glad so many folks have enjoyed the game and its stories, and we'd love to be put up for another award!
It's been an incredible year for Hypnospace Outlaw. We went from having a game we weren't entirely sure how to describe to people, to an IGF nominated, roundly loved and widely covered game that so many people fell in love with. So many have followed Zane, Corey, Dylan and the others and we're always surprised at the theories and new stories players have come up with! We've seen fan art, read theories and watched OCs develop and grow in the universe, and we've been blown away at every step. Thank you! The future of Hypnospace is definitely bright, with some secrets well on the way and modding now available through Mod.io, so now everyone can tell their own stories and share them with the world. The Modding Update for Hypnospace Outlaw is now available to download as a free update, and allows you to create pretty much anything in Hypnospace Outlaw, for other people to download and explore. Accessing mods is as simple as booting the game up, and choosing the Mods option.

But what exactly can you create for Hypnospace? How about:

Pretty much anything you can imagine [/olist] It's entirely possible for someone to create their own full Hypnospace story, complete with new characters, zones, downloads, emails, cases to complete, and horrific viruses and crashes!
So grab the update now, check out some of the mods that have already been created, then head to the guides section to learn how to create your own content for Hypnospace Outlaw! We've been talking about it for a while, and it's finally time to open the floodgates - the Hypnospace Outlaw Modding Update will be launching on November 19th, along with some super cool mods to get you into the mood (anyone fancy some more Seepage?) Using an in-game menu built especially for Mod.io, you'll be able to download mods you're interested in and give them a whirl. We know we talked about using Steam Workshop previously, but we're excited by the possibilities that Mod.io gives us and we promise it's really easy to use! We've made sure that come the 19th there'll be some cool things for you to try as well as some guides to get you started, even if you've not modded a game before. If you find you're looking for more help or to collaborate with others, we've also got a channel in the Discord for advice, asking questions and inspirations! From themes to hacks, music to whole new storylines, this will be a chance to make Hypnospace YOURS, and tell YOUR story, however you'd like! Hey folks! Hypnospace has been out for a month now, and we're totally blown away but the wonderful support you've been showing the game. We've received so many kind messages and pieces of fan art, it's been a really amazing experience to see you all jumping into the world of Hypnospace!
