Big thanks to everyone for our launch!
Due to our resources we missed a graphics compatibility issue (use Vulkan to fix), so were putting up all of our patch, displayed as 1.3 on the title screen.
Fixes include:
People experiencing horizontal and vertical lines across the screen should launch the game with Vulkan Graphics API, if you arent notified of this launch option from the Play button on steam, you can right click the game and select Play using Vulkan.
Made intro to new game text have a constant scroll speed for ease of reading.
Also reduced memory consumption.
Lowered default volume.
Added music and FX mute toggles to the system(start/esc) screens.
Cave map geometry alignment issue fixed.
Demons no longer give text battle cries for lore sake.
Animation for accepting a PP potion no longer shows the get hurt animation.
The patch should be rolling out today for PC, Mac, Linux.
Tactics V: "Obsidian Brigade" is a retro-style tactical turn-based video game in homage to console tactical RPGs from the 1990s. Its set in an in-house fantasy setting with it's own lore and magic, It also uses techniques to convert to a 2D isometric look from 3D assets.
The dream behind this game goes with the roman numeral five in its name, which was originally the code name differentiating it from four other tactical game systems the programmer, Paul Metcalf, had made.
