Hello there!
A quick update to fix the issue of FPS drop in levels with expanding red-blob things. This update limits their size so the game engine doesn't feel the heat from checking collisions between supermassive objects.
Also the on-screen animation from being killed by a red-blob was missing and has been restored
Another unique bug allows players to use the expanding red-blob thing to shoot into the sky, aptly named the "Superman Bug". I have made changes to address this but I think it's still possible to hit the right spot and launch into orbit.
Hope you had a great weekend! Until next time

Hello everyone! The summer heat is on, and we at tinyBuild wanted to do something to brighten up your day. Today, Lovely Planet 2: April Skies is going on a weeklong sale at 50% off. Weve been doing lots of interesting things recently, and I wanted to take the opportunity to highlight some of the things were working on. Specifically, on August 13 (thats next week!) we are launching Kill It With Fire - a physics comedy game about exterminating spiders and burning down your house in the process. Its a very lighthearted game the alphas of which have had 90%+ ratings on Steam. The game is on Pre-Order that allows you to save 10%, or you can simply Wishlist it! We greatly appreciate it. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1179210/Kill_It_With_Fire/

Feel like changing into something more comfortable? Need a dry pair of pants after being drenched in the Forest? Feeling the chill up in the mountains? Or maybe the regular garb is just not to your liking.
Not to worry! Visit a shop today and score new threads! Explore to find five new shops, each offering a unique selection of different colors. Pick the color that suits your personality and adventure to Lovely Planet in style.
This update also adds six new achievements for you to unlock.
Following are the fixes included in this update.
Few little fixes and some quality of life improvements.
You can now set an override to your default sensitivity settings via the extra options menu.
It accepts an integer value between 0-100 via keyboard input that maps to the 0-10 of the default slider which should give you more precise control over the sensitivity setting. You can also input values greater than 100 if you'd like to make it more sensitive. Setting the values to zero will disable the override and default back to the slider.
Key rebinding is live!
You can access the key configuration options via the extra options menu at the bottom of the settings menu.
To rebind custom keys, select the Rebind.. option to access the rebinding menu.
Selecting the Set WASD option should reset all controls to the default keyboard configuration.

Also, with this update, all times set with 100% accuracy on the leaderboards will carry a yellow star () after the name!

Addressed another issue where players would get stuck mid-air in a jump on higher framerates. Special thanks and tip of the hat once again to user apa3 for helping identify and troubleshoot this bug. Also fixed a very minor issue with baddie death sounds reverbing when they're not supposed to. Hope you're enjoying the game! Cheers
Fixed a bug where player movement is severely delayed when using the keyboard at very high refresh rates. This is a hotfix. The game now maxes out at a 240 frames per second to alleviate this problem temporarily. We will address this issue in further updates once I have thoroughly diagnosed the root cause of this problem. Special thanks to user apa3 for bringing this to my attention. I appreciate all the help and feedback! My most sincerest apologies for these issues. Hopefully with this update the game is in a playable state for everyone. Cheers
Fixes framerate and v-sync settings. Mouse movement should now be framerate independent on all settings. Also adds an in-game timer on the HUD.
We've added an extra settings menu to allow players to change more advanced settings. Select the new "..." option at the very bottom of the settings menu to access the new menu.
The in-game timer on the HUD can be toggled with the "--/--" option. Scroll through the "FPS Cap" option to set the framerate cap to 30, 60, 120 and 144, or turn it off entirely.
To make sure you're on the latest build, look for the "v3" watermark on the top right hand corner of the screen in the main menu.
Please let me know if the issue still persists for you, in the comments below or the forums. Alternatively you can also reach me directly at support@quicktequila.com
Thanks for your patience!
Cheers
NOTE : For all those of you who moved to the beta branch for the last update, can switch back now the default branch to receive updates. To switch to the default branch, right-click on the game in your library, select "Properties". You'll find a "Betas" tab that allows you to select between the default and beta branch.
Fixing framerate issues and adding the in-game HUD timer.
If you make your way to the bottom of the settings menu, you'll see a "..." option that spawns an extra settings menu.
This menu contains a toggle for the in-game HUD timer and frame limiter settings. You can choose to set the framerate cap to 30, 60, 120 and 144, or turn it off entirely.
I've put this together in a bit of a rush so it's pending a round of internal testing and QA. Until then, this update will be waiting in the beta branch. To switch to the beta branch, right-click on the game in your library, select "Properties". You'll find a "Beta" tab that allows you to select between the default and beta branch.
NOTE: I'm pretty confident of beta builds, but since this update alters game settings I don't want to jump the gun until it's tested on more machines with different configurations. Try it at your own risk. You can always revert back to the default branch, but if the beta build alters your settings you might have to reset them manually. If you switch successfully, the updated game should show a "v3[BETA]" watermark on the top right hand corner of the screen in the main menu.
If you take this for a spin, let me know if it solves the v-sync and framerate issue for you. I'll try to get this update finished as soon as possible! Thanks a lot for your patience!
Cheers
Mouse acceleration is pretty awful.
Some players have reported a frame dependent mouse movement. I've pushed an update to address this issue. The updated version of the game should show a "v2" on the top right hand corner of the screen in the main menu.
Please let me know if you're still experiencing mouse acceleration or a lag of any kind and I will look into it further.
Thanks
