Hello!
Progress is being made on Watch This Space leading up to Early Access. As part of this, the game had its first public outing at the Boston Festival of Indie Games last weekend.
I had a great time showing it to festival-goers and watching how it hooked players both young and old.
The Boston Festival of Indie Games (BFIG) is one of my favourite game events of the year, because it's the perfect balance of relaxed and down-to-earth developers, with a wide variety of attendees and a crowd that's busy yet not overwhelming. It's a very friendly festival, and a great place for the first outing of Watch This Space.
However, I don't have a large development budget for Watch This Space, and setting up a booth at a festival can be a costly exercise. I decided to get creative - and to try and build a booth with materials from the dollar store, some milk crates, and an old sewing machine I'd rescued from the side of the road.
I used some foam board and light strips to create a title that stood out, while plastic tablecloths served for seat covers. The result was a lounge that looked attractive and offered plenty of seating for a heavily-multiplayer game!
The feedback from players was outstanding, and overall the event was a real success. Here's a quick video to show how it all went:

The best thing you can do to support development of Watch This Space is to add it to your Steam wishlist! If you'd like more regular updates, you can follow It's Anecdotal on Twitter.
Have a wonderful, colourful day,
-Philip
