Greetings everyone! We'd like to thank each and every one of you for supporting us and buying our first game. Even though it's not perfect, we still put our hearts and souls into making this and we are proud that we were able to deliver a complete experience. A lot of things happened the past year. We were able to release the game on 2 major platforms (Steam & Nintendo Switch). Looking back, we definitely learned a lot from this experience and we will use it to bring more games in the future.
What does the future hold for MiSou Games?
Right now, we are working on two new games. At first we wanted to work on our dream project. But considering the world's current state, we are now taking the safer route and create a small scale project while we work on our dream project on the side. This means we can release more games early while getting a bit of a revenue stream that can push us to making our long term project.

PS4/XBOXONE Release?
It was decided that Towertale will have a PS4/XBOXONE release but since the pandemic happened, our whole country is on lock-down and we aren't able to acquire the dev kits necessary to port the game on these platforms. But it will definitely come in the future once we get a hold of them.

It has been reported that playing the game for the first time stops the player after the first loading screen. We have released a patch that fixes this. If it still persists please delete the TowertaleTTSystemSav file from the Persistent Data Path of the game. You can follow this directory to go there: C:\Users\ComputerName\AppData\LocalLow\MiSou Games Special thanks to witch35048 from reddit for reporting the bug! We also fixed a bug with playing on Co-op with controllers + a keyboard when on battle or at the tutorial area, when pause button is pressed, crashes the game. Special thanks to Sven Evil for reporting it. Another bug that has been reported that the graphics from the Linux build on Manjaro with AMD cards crashes. We have figured out that it was a resolution issue. It can be fixed by adding this line to the launch options: -screen-fullscreen 0 You can do this by clicking the gear on Towertale's library page -> Properties -> General Tab -> Set Launch Options Please let us know if there are any more bugs.

It's been 9 long months since we initially released Towertale on steam. The game has changed a lot since the initial release. The most notable change is that we added a new Co-op feature that lets you play with your friends up to 4 players!
New Co-op Content:
You can now team up with your friends on all game modes, Story, Arcade, Free and Boss Rush.
A new storyline and ending.
We added a new storyline for the Co-op mode. It can be played by yourself or with friends.
Remote Play Together
The game is compatible with Steam's Remote Play Together feature. Which means, you can play co-op with your friends online! Though, it is recommended to have at least 30mbps of Upload/Download speed for it to be playable. If not, try setting the the host's limit resolution to 480p and the client's options to fast. New Features:
Scenario Selector
After implementing the Skip function last patch, our next step was adding the Scenario Selector. You can now play/replay any parts of the game so long as you unlocked that scenario!
The Gallery
Another thing we wanted to add was the gallery. There are a lot of great Art from the story mode, we wanted a place to collect them and let the player view them at any time.
A new main menu art and music
With these all new features added, we couldn't resist to put a new main menu art and music to the game.
Filipino and Dutch Localization

Nintendo Switch Release
It's been a long time coming but we finally got a switch release! After we released on steam, we couldn't meet our sales goal. We wanted the game to be played by a larger amount of players and we believe Nintendo Switch was a good fit for the game. Hopefully the sales will be enough to carry us over the initial stages of our next project. As, up till now, we still haven't paid up our debts. All of these updates are actually part of the things we added to the Nintendo Switch. But I told my publisher that I didn't want our steam customers to feel left out so we opted to bring the free update to steam too. Price change
With all of these changes that we made, we feel that Towertale as a product is finally complete. It was discussed with my console publisher that we would raise the price of the game to $9.99. Hopefully that will mean that everyone who bought the game before this update will feel that the game has raised its value. Just putting this out there for transparency.

Lastly, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who played the game. This was our first commercial release and we really learned a lot from it. And I promise you that our next game is going to be really better since everyone in the team has leveled up their skills. We hope to bring you more awesome games in the future!

Heya all,
I am very sorry to announce that the free co-op dlc is now delayed to Q1 2020. Although the PC build is already ready for shipping, we need to wait for the switch version to be live because we are working with our console publisher for a simultaneous release. Hopefully this will give us some time to cook the game a bit more and iron out some co-op bugs that might occur.
We will announce the release date with a new trailer, as soon as Nintendo finishes reviewing Towertale for switch.

Towertale is coming to the Nintendo Switch!
Hello guys! We're really excited to announce that Towertale is coming to the Nintendo Switch! It's been a while since our intial steam release. We have been searching for a publisher who want to help us get the game on consoles. We're glad to say that we will be working with Keybol Games. They will help us get the game on Switch, PS4 and XBOX ONE! But we are doing the releases one at a time. The Switch version will come first!
Couch co-op is coming to the steam version too!
A feature that is highly requested by some folks is the Co-op! We are going to work on it along with the switch release. But we don't want our steam customers to feel left out so the coop will also be available on the steam version too!
What happened to the localization and mac build?
The localization system is going to be worked on after we have successfully ported the game on the switch. We too want to release other languages when we make our console release. As for the mac build, keybol is going to help us test it out so expect it to come out eventually!
Other future plans, our next game?
As for our future plans. A mobile release is also being made alongside the switch port. But the switch port will take priority first. We are also already planning for our next game. We might take a break from making a bit project such as Towertale. We need to scale down because we still haven't have enough sales sold on steam yet sadly. Mac Build update:

Localization update:
We are going to work on the localization system this week. Hopefully after that we are able to add more language support for the game. Though we haven't sold enough copies for us to get all languages. We might acquire them as we sell more copies in the future. We are considering crowdsourcing the localization. Greetings all! As promised, we have finally released the Linux port of Towertale! Sorry for the delay! It took us a while because we had to do a dual boot on our PC to use and test the game on Linux. We wanted the game to work properly before we release it. The game was tested in Ubuntu and Linux Mint. Hope you all enjoy the game! PS. Mac version coming soon after we finish testing it. Hello guys! We need your help!
It's been over a week since we released Towertale. I think we had a pretty decent start, but after the first 4 days, visibility has slowly started declining. We're trying to be positive about it, but our initial first week sales vs our expected sales is pretty low. Other developers say that the first week of sales will determine your lifetime sales of your game. And if that's the case then we're pretty much screwed! But we're still trying to keep our heads up since it's only been over a week since release.
Towertale hits its first Positive rating!
On a brighter note, the game has finally achieved it's first rating! We are very happy that it's a positive! We honestly would like to thank everyone who gave the game a review and reported bugs on our forums.
We are a legit game, we promise!
Steam still doesn't consider Towertale a legitimate game yet. This is why you may see that the achievements in game isn't activating. This is actually not a bug but something that valve implemented way back. The game needs to have a decent sales threshold and player engagement in order for the community items to get enabled. We have already the Trading Cards, Badges, Emoticons, Profile Backgrounds and Achievements but we're going to need your help to activate them! Here they are, we are going to show them to you so at least if we don't hit our goal, at least you are able to see them. Badges:

Our team has worked hard and provided these items for the community. But if steam doesn't activate them, then they will all be wasted. That's why we need your help!

- If you like the game, consider giving it a review!
- Consider taking screenshots and uploading them so people can see in the discussions.
- You can also post discussion topics about the game and engage in other people's topics.
- Telling your friends about the game is not required, but will be a huge help!
- Buying the soundtrack DLC is also optional, but it would help our composers a lot!

Our release was a bit bumpy and we were not able to include the Official Soundtrack DLC on the first week. We also hit a few snags while testing it if it works or not. Some of you might have seen that you accidentally got the DLC in your library! That was our bad! We're still pretty new to the DLC thing and we made a mistake. Thankfully valve has helped us with our little blunder and reset the DLC from being included in the main build of the game.
That said, we are now announcing that the Towertale Official Soundtrack DLC is now available to purchase for $4.99!

An hour after we have released the press keys a major bug was found. The settings wasn't working properly. This was due to a serializing issue with the system settings. It should be fixed now. Sorry for the delay!
Hello all! It's been a while. First of all, we would like to say sorry for not being able to meet our July 9, planned release date. Some personal life things have happened during the last two weeks of June. Like Soulty had to move out of her parents house and we had to move our stuff around. That ate up our precious development time. We were confident before on hitting the deadline but I guess there's nothing you can do when these things happen. We are very sorry and we promise that we will learn from this experience.
The game is complete!
On a good note, we are happy to announce that the final build for Towertale is finally complete! It's been a long two years but we are very excited to let people play the full game. Based on the feedback from the demo and people from the internal team testing the game, we are expecting the full game to be 6-20 hours long depending on how fast you read all the dialogue and how swiftly you beat the bosses.
So when is the game going to be released?
Since we just finished the full game, we may need a bit of time to do some quality assurance to clean up the remaining known bugs. We are a small team of 5 but everyone is helping out on internally testing the game. Also shouting out to the people from our discord server and team Akio for pointing out some game breaking bugs that was missed by the internal team. Anyway, if you haven't already, please join our discord server, I will put the link below. Our final release date is going to be on the 30th of july! Hopefully this will give us the necessary time to do some last minute polish and bug fixing so we can have a smooth release. We will also use this time to send out review copies of the game out to influencers and gaming websites so the game will have a bit of traffic on release! The composers, Gina and Mordi did a spectacular job with the soundtrack. With them the game was brought to life. Release Date
The full game will be released on July 10, 2019! Although no date has been included in the trailer, we are playing it safe because this is our first game. we don't know if there are problems that are going to occur like if steam will take time to review our game and the release get's delayed(hopefully not).
Game at it's final stages
As for the progress. All that's left to do in the game are encoding the final chapter, implementing the arcade and boss rush modes and adding steam Achievements + Trading cards. For the music, our composers did a splendid job on bringing the game to life. We are expecting a total of 34 unique tracks, spanning up to 50+ minutes! All are to be used on character themes, boss themes and story themes. New Trailer
As you probably may have seen, we have uploaded a new trailer to the store page. If you haven't watched it yet, be sure to take a look at it! It is a more complete trailer than our previous one. It now shows snippets of character story, game play as well as a few teasers on what the full game may have to offer.
Playable Demo
Another thing we have been eagerly to release is the demo of the game. It was actually already finished around the third week of may but we had to do some QA rounds in order to squash those unwanted bugs. We also wanted to wait for a definitive final release date before we release it. Doing so gave us more time to make certain adjustments and extra polish for the game.
Localization Plans
After finishing the game, we might look into localizing it to certain popular languages such as Chinese, French, Japanese, German, Portuguese and Russian. Though these update might happen post release.

So that concludes our update! We hope you try out the demo and consider wishlisting / buying the game on launch. We are currently an unknown team as of now and this will be our very first game. But I want you to all know that we are very passionate and are giving our best to make the best product we can produce with the capabilities we have now. We still have a lot of room for improvement but hopefully after releasing this, we may have our opportunity to grow more as developers. Lastly, we just opened our discord server. Hello all! we just want you to know that we are alive and well!
It has been almost 4 months since our last update. We have been working hard on the game and we're excited to say that it is almost complete! We are also planning to release a playable demo and a new trailer as soon as everything is ironed out. We're pretty excited to know what kind of reactions you will have to it.
We're also moving the release date to Early Q2 2019. The main reason is because the game will now have a full OST with 20-30 music tracks made by our two wonderful composers who recently joined us. The main game is mostly complete but we're still waiting for the other tracks to be made. Right now almost 50% are done.

For the art update, Soulty has been pumping out her wonderful works. Now the game has 25+ CG scenes that are used for the story!

Control four different characters and follow their stories. Learn their motivations on coming to the Tower. Each character shows a different perspective. First prince and heir to the throne of Lionhead Kingdom. Having heard about the legend of "The Tower", Lionel set out on a quest to challenge his fate.
Came from a forgotten civilization called "Ashelm". Enslaved by humans, she lived most of her childhood life in chains. Until one day was rescued by Alywyn the Red. A vigilante who fights for justice. She went to the Tower seeking power to rid the world of evil and end all wars.
A rabbit-folk from the Sect of Colors. He has mastered all forms of magic in each element. During the meeting with the four leaders, he has been tasked to investigate the tower as they have been sensing a source of malice around the area.
An unknown assassin who claims to be the "Son of Darkness". He likes to say catch phrases like "Get eaten by darkness" and thinks he's the best. His true intentions are unknown.
