Our weekly news blast is back, bringing you all the latest from the world of Broken Lines!
Blocktober
Last week we introduced a before-and-after image taken from Broken Lines, and it was really popular so we wanted to continue with some more images and videos that show this.
This month, in particular, we have a special opportunity as its Blocktober!
What is Blocktober you ask? It is an event that takes part during October where game developers and designers celebrate the art of level design. They do this by looking back at the early stages of level design when the game is put together in blocks.
We do have a very interesting history with using blocks, but perhaps not the same blocks that most game developers use. What exactly do we mean by that? Well check out this slideshow, it explains everything!

It is important that game developers have fun while working on their projects!

Broken Lines Community and Beta
We are looking for beta testers to play through the game, find bugs and tell us what you feel needs improving.
If you think you are up to the task, sign up
here for a chance to get into the beta program!
Please note, signing up does not guarantee a beta position as the spaces are limited.
Furthermore, if you want to talk to the developers, get to know the other people playing Broken Lines, or simply want to learn more about the game, join us on
Discord today!
Did you know?
When looking back at our older screenshots (like the one below) you may have noticed just how different the character models looked. But, did you know that there was a reason why they looked like that?
These models were not placeholders, in-fact, the original design for Broken Lines was that the soldiers would resemble miniatures, which also explains the rather large plate found under them, they were all designed to look like one!

And thats it for this weeks news blast, we hope that youve enjoyed it! If you have, please consider following us on our Social Media platforms for more Broken Lines content:
