Inspired by the classic point & click adventure games of yesteryear, Arkhangel: The House of the Seven Stars is a story told through the eyes of a family that has recently moved to an isolated town in the frozen wilderness. Explore, unearth dark mysteries, solve puzzles, engross yourself with deep lore, and interact with a large cast of characters in this rich and layered narrative.
- 3D point & click adventure game created with Unity3D.
- Deep narrative with abundant lore to discover and absorb.
- Gorgeous environments in a moody and atmospheric world.
- Large cast of characters to interact with.
- Game controllers supported: This is the recommended method of playing Arkhangel!
- Cinematic, live orchestral musical score by composer and conductor Chad Seiter (ReCore, Super Lucky's Tale, Star Trek, FRINGE, Lego Jurassic World, The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses).
- Direct tie-in to the tabletop game, The Great Nameless.
- Windows & Mac OSX.
A SPECIAL NOTE FROM THE DEVELOPER:
While there isn't overt gore or on-screen violence in Arkhangel, there is subject matter and imagery that some might find disturbing. This is a mature game experience.
We recommend playing Arkhangel with a game controller. Give it a try!
Greetings friends!
We would be so happy if you would consider nominating Arkhangel: The House of the Seven Stars for the Labor of Love Award for the Steam Awards!
As you all know, we have been working tirelessly on Arkhangel since release and have pushed multiple updates since 2018 culminating in a massive overhaul this year that added full point & click navigation and a host of other features. For a breakdown of updates that we've released over the years:
+ Added traditional point & click navigation - This is now the default and recommended method of navigation.
+ Significant overhaul to Player navigation settings including faster turning and transitions and allowing the player to continue walking in the direction they are facing after a camera change if input is still active. The direction will update when the user actively changes their input direction.
+ Added full game controller support. This was a full replacement of the Unity Input System! Yowza!
+ Restructured menus to allow for easier controller navigation.
+ Added a Run option to allow the player to explore at a faster rate.
+ Added a method of fast travel that unlocks at a certain point of the game.
+ Interface updates that include opening the inventory on a hotspot interaction.
+ Inventory has been significantly overhauled. It is now opened/closed by an input key rather than a mouse over. Interaction methodology and presentation has also changed. This has had cascading effects on multiple other systems that required adjustments.
+ Added full tutorials both in menu and in game.
+ Inventory redesign.
+ Adjusted and revamped a ton of camera angles/transitions
+ Reconstructed & revamped many areas to better fit point & click navigation (and just general flow improvements)
+ Steam achievements!
+ Several bug fixes and bits of polish throughout including changes to dialogue and some characters
