Version 1.3.1.2 - Achievements, Accessibility, and more!

1.3.1.2

We've been working very hard since the last update! Version 1.3.1.2 is perhaps the biggest update we've released since the launch of the game way back in December 2019. It's also the first update to the Ubuntu build since 1.1.0.5 - about time we got that up to speed! Hard to believe how long it's been, and we're very grateful for those of you who've played our little game. It means more than you know.

First and foremost, a huge thanks to our speedrunning community, especially Butcherberries and Hapax. These incredibly skilled speedrunners have also proven to be incredibly skilled game testers - this update could never have fixed as many issues as it did were it not for their tireless help.

Among many, many other changes, the most noteworthy additions in this update are the in-game Achievements, and the new accessibility options. The changelog will go into more detail, but in short, you can take a look at this screenshot! It features the new achievements page on the main menu, as well as the new alternate font.

For more details, you can take a look at the full changelog below. Stay tuned, everyone - this won't be the last big update we release. Look forward to learning more soon. :)

PS - did you know we have a Discord server? Come hang out with fellow rabbit lovers!

Changelog
Additions:
• In-game achievements have been added! Use the Sync Steam Achievements button to unlock any achievements you've already unlocked on Steam. Each achievement unlocks a unique vignette on the main menu!
 • An Intersex Pride palette has been added! This required a whole new system be designed to support the circle, but was well worth the effort. <3
 • An alternate font option has been added, for anyone who may have difficulty reading the original pixel font.
 • Players may now choose from three sprint options: Hold, Hold (Inverted), and Toggle. Hold is the default from previous versions of the game. Hold (Inverted) has Rabbit Girl sprinting by default, and walking while holding the Sprint button. Toggle switches between sprinting and walking when the Sprint button is pressed.
Enhancements:
• Menus can now be navigated using the Start button on controllers, similar to the Enter key on keyboard
 • Major optimizations have been rolled out across the entire game, significantly improving performance
 • Notably, the map screen now runs at a smooth 60fps, rather than dropping to single digit FPS values
 • Certain aspects of the game have been reworked visually to increase contrast and increase readability
 • Sprint behavior has been made much more consistent, and properly speeds up all forms of regular movement
Fixes:
• Countless layering issues have been fixed across the whole game
 • Fixes various issues related to elevators and minecarts
 • Fixes and re-enables the movement helper in a state in which it was previously disabled
 • Various checkpoints have been tweaked for a smoother experience
 • Fixes a very strange issue with Soundcatchers not triggering properly with rabbits in certain positions
 • Fixes a handful of softlocks
 • Fixes several minor visual issues
 • Adds a trick for angel rabbits, who previously had no animation
 • Several rabbits now bubble back to their starting position after falling offscreen
 • A memory leak with special palettes has been fixed, significantly improving performance when wearing them
 • Rabbit #100 now has a name. We're as shocked about this as you are
