[Insert Platform Name Here] When?
The answer is: Sooner than you might think. We are ready to announce an official date very soon. Maybe next week? We wanted to let you know that we will be revealing the official release date for the console version of CrossCode next Tuesday. And we always said that once we announce the releasedate, the wait will even sooner be over. This means: You won't have to wait much longer. But we can't go into details just yet.
CrossCode was build in a custom engine written in HTML5 and JavaScript. Something which the consoles do not really support well. We had to create a compiler for it, translating everything into C++ before the game loads up. Because live compiling, which JavaScript does, is not allowed on most platforms as it opens up ways to access the deeper cores of the hardware. We even had to restart the whole process once as the first way we were going for did not work out as intended. We had to throw away roughly one year of work and start all over again.
No fear. We did our homework. CrossCode has passed all console certifications. And we're still submitting patches to the version which passed certifications. These will be available from Day 1 and your version will automatically be updated to the latest build.
Oh yeah, while we're at it: We have decided to bundle CrossCode on Steam with a fresh product we just launched, called Resolutiion. We think it might be something you could enjoy as you're all fans of gorgeous pixelart. [previewyoutube=7J9JR6iFzho;full][/previewyoutube]

Hello everyball!
... Deck13 writing here today. We're the publisher of CrossCode. We're also handling the port to other platforms at the very moment. And all of us, here at Deck13, over at RFG, over at Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft hear your questions. Which is basically always the same: When? When will CrossCode finally be coming to consoles?
WHEN???

What took you so long?

This retro-inspired 2D Action RPG might outright surprise you. CrossCode combines 16-bit SNES-style graphics with butter-smooth physics, a fast-paced combat system, and engaging puzzle mechanics, served with a gripping sci-fi story.
Take the best out of two popular genres, find a good balance between them and make a great game. That’s what CrossCode does. And it works pretty well. You get the puzzles of Zelda-esque dungeons and are rewarded with the great variety of equipment you know and love from RPGs. During the fast-paced battles you will use the tools you find on your journey to reveal and exploit the enemies' weaknesses and at the same time will be able to choose equipment and skills for a more in-depth approach in fighting your enemies.
