What's up folks!
I hope you liked the Halloween Game Event. Zombies may make a come back in the future, stay tuned ;)
New Objectives
I've worked on 2 new objectives: escorting targets
out of or
inside the building.
You'll have to protect one or several individuals and guide them to the designated areas, like you did with your operators in infiltration or exfiltration missions.
As a result, each faction gained new playable scenarios, 6 in total:
SWAT / HVT Exfiltration
Escort the
High Value Terrorist out of the building. Considering their profile, it's not such a big deal if they take a few damage on the way. Just make sure they make it to the exit so we can "extract" intels from them.
SWAT / Bomb Defusal
The Bomb Squad has arrived, your objective is to clear the path to the explosives for them. Their bulky suits can absorb a limited amount of damages but make them quite slow to move. Make sure they can start working on the objectives in time!
Robbers / Taking The Loot Home
We deactivated the alarms, took care of the guards and reached the safe. The only thing to do now is to bring this big pile of cash to our hideout. Protect your mules and get to the exit as soon as possible!
FBI / Hostage Evacuation
Before we can stop the ongoing heist, we need to get the hostages to safety. Protect them at all cost along the path you choose to the exit!
FBI / VIP Exfiltration
This
Very Influential Politician found out a little late that they shouldn't have done business with a gang to help them climb the ranks... Escort them out of this trap before their associates end their negotiation.
Gangsters / Get The Boss Out
The meeting between your boss and their rival didn't quite end as planned. Guess there was only room for one toilet paper lord... Now you need to get out of their HQ before their minions make you pay for it.
Melee Enemies
Enemies can now rush at you and use close-range melee weapons.

They are especially deadly when coming up from behind, flanking you, or while you're already dealing with ranged threats, so be sure to cover every angles!
Steam Deck support
Last but not least, I've improved support for the
Steam Deck.

I've reworked a lot of the existing keyboard shortcuts and added those that were missing. You should now be able to do most command using only keys.
Those shortcuts have been assigned to different buttons of the deck in the official layout that should be used by default:

This will also benefit the keyboard/mouse players and is the first step towards controller support and, who knows, console ports?
