Happy New Year! We have just released a new update with some fun and different new weapons. Potato Sword. If you've been growing a bumper crop, you can use those spare potatoes to give your Potato Sword extra power. Stinging Sword. This attractive little striped weapon has a real sting in it's tail. It can spark Bees which attack and cause more damage. Cold Fire Sword. With every swipe, you will have a random chance of giving a powerful Fire or Ice blow to enemies. Buster Sword. It's a bit slower but when it makes contact, it will cause higher damage. Wooden Sword. Just made of wood :) Enjoy!

We’ve released another update into the wild! This updates includes the new enemies we mentioned in the previous update! Beehives, Honey and IceBits (dropped by the new FrostBites) have been introduced as new items, you can eat the Honey and IceBits straight up, or make yourself some Mead and IceLollies. Beehives will generate honey over time, but try not to disturb the bees when you reap that Honey harvest! We’ve also added 3 new ring types to play with! These Storm items spawn elemental vortexes to devastate your foes when equipped. The Ice Storm Ring will deal damage whilst freezing any opponents within its AOE. The Shocking Storm Ring will disable any enemy abilities caught in the vortex whilst causing damage, and the Fire Storm Ring lacks any status effects but packs way more punch. We’ve also tinkered with the drop rates of items and done some general house keeping! Hope you enjoy the new update! Happy Seasons Everybody! OreLight Team!

Cheers for all your votes for the next set of creatures, it's great to get feedback from you guys.

Sorry for such a long silence, it wasn’t cool of us, but we are working on updates! We are a micro team of people so things are, unfortunately, taking longer than expected. That’s no excuse for keeping you guys in the dark though, so we’ve restructured a little to make sure we are more active in the community.
We would also like to put out a big thank you to all the players that have been contributing and helping out in the community hub, and also to those of you with words of encouragement about the game. It’s great to see such a cool little community growing from this. We’ll be going through people’s individual discussions to help solve any issues and questions where we can, and we intend to keep you more regularly updated with any developments from the team and to answer any discussions.
On that note...updates! We’re working on more new content to drop in over the next few weeks. Which will throw these two dudes into the mix along with some other bits and pieces.
We’ve also put together an updated roadmap! Please bare in mind that not all the features will roll out in the next update, we’ll be putting out more regular updates as the short term goals are completed. We’ve also included a list of longer-term goals and ideas. To give you all a little peak at our future goals.
Updated Roadmap can be found on our website
In other news. We’ll be dropping the blog on the website and move any sorts of dev blogging to here instead. It’s more efficient for us and should let you guys interact/ get involved as well.
Apologies again for the lack of communication folks. Let’s get back to cracking skulls and planting ‘taters.
May Sven be with you.

HELLO! It's been a month now and we have completed the leveling, pets and new abilities as well as added a bunch of fixes, changes and tweaks. Killing enemies now grants you exp, exp levels you up and leveling up grants you ability points. Ability points can be spent on unlocking pets or new abilities. The best thing about this is that it also keeps your progress between servers so you won't have to start from "nothing" when you play in a new server or one that has been reset. Pets and abilities don't give you a huge increase in power, but allow you to keep some progress and customize the way you play more. We believe this is in keeping with the theme of OreLight, we want players to get more powerful by collecting loot or crafting new weapons and armor. The leveling system is more of a reward/goal for players rather than a necessity. Another big change is armor and helms, they no longer give you abilities (the ring however still does). Only a few items gave you abilities before and it was restricting players when they wanted an armor set that looked good but also had an ability they liked. This has been replaced with pets and abilities gained from leveling. We are moving back to a quicker update cycle now that this big update is done, so fixes and updates will come along faster. As always please let us know what you think!

Hey everyone, we are going to be working on updating the website and getting a roadmap together so you can all see the new features and improvements we are working on. Now that the initial flurry of fixes are complete we are going through all the feedback and suggestions, and working on a plan to get these into the game as well as provide a steady stream of patches. Once this is done we will update you all.

- OreLight Linux [205.24 M]
Everything in the world can be dug up, replaced or moved, so building anything from a small hut to an entire town is possible.
The world is split into multiple areas; each area has its own procedurally generated world with dungeons, camps, forests, skeletons and a bunch of other OREsome stuff.
Want to be a Warlock? A Swordsman, Blacksmith, one of those mysterious lone rogue guys? A King, an Archer? A Robot archer? That’s all good. Want to look like a fire spitting marauder, that’s cool. You can mix up your armour and items to play and look however you want.
SWAP, STEAL, FARM, FIND, LOOT, LOSE, FIND AGAIN. There’s many an item in the world of OreLight; use Swords, Bows, Magic, Traps and Cannons to protect your base.
The AI is a key aspect of the game, we wanted the game to feel more like a game so the AI verges on breaking the 4th wall with their random conversations about daily life as a dungeon minion. AI wander around, have conversations with each other, use doors, shout for assistance, hunt you down, steal your stuff or just get so overwhelmed by your furious stabbing powers that they give up and flee. AI isn't the only thing to worry about, OreLight was built for multiplayer so watch your back and keep an eye on your loot.
