Hi folks,

Over the past week we heard a number of you reporting that the eye detection was not working on your Windows machines. We dug deep into the issue today and it is now fixed! The "red box" should now turn green. Thanks for letting us know, and for your patience while we patched.

First, Thank you! Thank you for your support of BYE. Back in November we asked for your support in our pursuit of recognition for our game and the response was overwhelming.

All of that hard work paid off. We are so happy to report that BYE has been nominated for a BAFTA! The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has nominated BYE in their Game Beyond Entertainment category and we couldnt be more happy that the game you all love is being recognized the world over.

Hey everyone,
first of all, thank you for being here with us and all your feedback we've gotten so far. We love hearing your opinions on the game and the experience you had with Before Your Eyes, so keep them coming!

We try to read all your posts on the forum and help out on the spot while taking notes for the patching work we do.
The first patch is now live and here's the list of changes it includes:

GRAPHICS there was an issue with the games visuals appearing blurry for some players on lower spec PC's. After the patch, BYE should run with higher FPS and without blurriness on a bigger amount of lower or below-minimum spec machines. That said, if playing on a low spec computer, it is still important to use the lowest graphics settings, and lower resolution settings, in order to have a smooth experience.

QUALITY OF LIFE we heard you when you said the the non-detection mode and on-screen camera feed feature were not as easily accessible as they could be.. Weve changed that and both modes can now be toggled in the main menu.

QUALITY OF LIFE weve added a new chapter point towards the end of the game, titled "Pain."

OTHER CHANGES:

• Black screens on low spec machines should no longer occur
  
• More cameras should now be more easily detected and used
  
• Addressed the reported Steam achievement issues
  
• Include webcam overlay during credits
  
• Other minor changes and fixes
  

Hey Everyone, thanks for an incredible launch week! Weve identified a bug regarding the Blinkasaurus Rex and Eyes of Steel achievements. Because of this, weve removed Blinkasaurus Rex. The good news is that those of you who achieved Eyes of Steel should now see that as successfully achieved on your profile and those that havent will be able to achieve it in the future.

The launch day of Before Your Eyes is a big day for our team!

After many years of work our game which you play just by blinking is finally here but as more and more players get to try our new style of gameplay for themselves, we discovered an issue that may affect those trying to play with the graphics set to high on lower-end PCs.

It seems that playing Before Your Eyes on a lower spec PC with graphics and/or resolution set on HIGH can result in lower framerates or stuttering and this, in turn, may cause blurriness, black screen or poor blink detection.

The team is working on this, but in the meantime, we recommend that if you are playing on a lower spec computer you should avoid playing on high graphics and resolution settings. We encourage you to experiment with lowering them, to make sure they are appropriate for the computers specification.

In the case of Before Your Eyes, setting the graphics too high right now can cause issues beyond low framerate that would hinder your enjoyment of the game. We apologize for this and we hope for your understanding.
