The launch day of Before Your Eyes is a big day for our team! After many years of work our game which you play just by blinking is finally here but as more and more players get to try our new style of gameplay for themselves, we discovered an issue that may affect those trying to play with the graphics set to high on lower-end PCs. It seems that playing Before Your Eyes on a lower spec PC with graphics and/or resolution set on HIGH can result in lower framerates or stuttering and this, in turn, may cause blurriness, black screen or poor blink detection. The team is working on this, but in the meantime, we recommend that if you are playing on a lower spec computer you should avoid playing on high graphics and resolution settings. We encourage you to experiment with lowering them, to make sure they are appropriate for the computers specification. In the case of Before Your Eyes, setting the graphics too high right now can cause issues beyond low framerate that would hinder your enjoyment of the game. Coda is a story-driven game that utilizes players' blinks as the central mode of interaction, with each blink evolving the story. You begin aboard the ship of a mythical Ferryman, tasked with shepherding souls to the afterlife. In order to do so, you must tell him the entire story of your life in a series of flashbacks. With each blink, time passes faster and faster, but the Ferryman questions the truth of your story. He forces you deeper into your painfully repressed past, revealing a tragic truth about who you were, and who you weren’t. Coda tells a relatable story about the impossible expectations we place on ourselves, and the irrational regrets we carry with us when we feel we aren’t measuring up.
