The Eternal Vengeance achievement has been updated. The new requirements are defeating 15 Wizards in a single game. This is because the game's Java instance becomes unstable on some machines past this limit which makes the achievement nearly impossible. Wizards have also been given a safeguard to prevent them meandering off into infinity. The fireman’s hat and armour hat have also been adjusted so that their damage reduction is more clearly visible.

Today's little patch fixes a couple of issues that mean that some achievements weren't triggering properly for people. That should now be all resolved. Additionally the bug where it would show you the achievement notification every time you met the requirements of an achievement instead of just the first time should also be fixed. Also chests are now less likely to throw your hard earned gems into the abyss.

Firstly we apologise for the few hours this evening where a bugged windows build was live for a while that prevented the game from being launched. Our main development environment is a linux machine and so when I ran the build script for this patch and tested it was working on linux I didn't realise until later than the build script had been interrupted while packaging for Windows, leading to a corrupt EXE being uploaded. My Mario Karting was abandoned as quickly as possible to fix the problem as soon as you guys messaged us to let us know about the problem so thanks for picking that up quickly. This update is only small and addresses some of the issues raised by some of the invaluable members of Youtube's Lets Play Community, the feedback recieved from Steam Community reviews and our observations while demoing the game at The Indie Games Room at this year's AVcon in Adelaide. We've expanded the help text because a lot of people have been asking for a health bar, not realising that the third eye fulfils this function as well as acting as a compass that points towards the Wizard at the end of the level. We've also added the ability to map the pause button in the options screen bringing us up to full controller support and added a vsync toggle. The main menu also now has a quit button and the play button now lets you know how far into the game you are or if you're starting afresh. A couple of crash inducing bugs involving unlinked assets have also been fixed. No need to fear boulders in the Volcanic Fallout World any more than regular boulders now. Thanks for all your patience guys. Our first title was always going to be a rocky learning experience and the support of the community makes it much easier to quickly fix problems and learn from our mistakes.

Amygdala is finally on Steam! Thankyou to everyone who voted for us on Greenlight and to everyone who supported the game as a standalone. We're happy to announce that what we have here on Steam includes The Charcoal Update! The Charcoal Update adds the new Volcanic Fallout realm, it's three new enemies, three new hazard types and a new wizard form, the Assassin Wizard. We've also done what we all knew was right in our hearts all along and added hats. Crates throughout the game may very occasionally contain a hat powerup to make your run even more epic. We've put a lot of work into this release and we're glad you're joining us for the fun bit: exploring the infinite worlds of Amygdala.

🎮 Full Controller Support
- Amygdala Linux [94.12 M]
Amygdala is an action/adventure platformer where every living world you explore is a freshly generated permadeath challenge. There’s no hands and no handholding as you face off against swordheads, voidpigs, giant swarms of beez and the wizard that stole your body (hint: it’s NEVER his final form). Learn and survive. Avoid traps. Watch wildlife get in fights. SHOOT MINDBULLETS. POOP BRICKS. IT NEVER ENDS, IT JUST GETS HARDER.
