Amygdala Released on Steam with The Charcoal Update

Amygdala is finally on Steam! Thankyou to everyone who voted for us on Greenlight and to everyone who supported the game as a standalone. We're happy to announce that what we have here on Steam includes The Charcoal Update! The Charcoal Update adds the new Volcanic Fallout realm, it's three new enemies, three new hazard types and a new wizard form, the Assassin Wizard. We've also done what we all knew was right in our hearts all along and added hats. Crates throughout the game may very occasionally contain a hat powerup to make your run even more epic. We've put a lot of work into this release and we're glad you're joining us for the fun bit: exploring the infinite worlds of Amygdala.

Amygdala is an action/adventure platformer where every living world you explore is a freshly generated permadeath challenge. There’s no hands and no handholding as you face off against swordheads, voidpigs, giant swarms of beez and the wizard that stole your body (hint: it’s NEVER his final form). Learn and survive. Avoid traps. Watch wildlife get in fights. SHOOT MINDBULLETS. POOP BRICKS. IT NEVER ENDS, IT JUST GETS HARDER.

Procedurally Generated Worlds
Amygdala builds each new world fresh and toasty. Every time you advance or die you will find yourself in a new world that no one else has ever experienced before or will ever experience again.Permadeath Challenge
No checkpoints, saves or handholding. If you get hit with no energy or fall off the world you die, game over, start from square one. There's a lot to investigate in these worlds so feel free to go look up the answers in the manual, we're just not spoon feeding it to you.Choose Eternal Vengeance
