- Setting 1 is a bit easier by providing 1 free worker at the start of turns 2, 4 and 6. And +1 logistics and +1 food for free at the start of turns 3, 5 and 7.

This update brings two major changes. An increase in magic crystal production which has the goal of promoting the use of magic. And buffs to red magicians, archers and mystics so that they don't become underwhelming in higher levels.
- Background image for the main game screen. Can revert to old plain color in Options.
- Raised maximum Player Level to 30. From level 23 onwards all races are eligible and bonus/penalty is applied for less/more frequently used ones. See tutorial "High Level".
- Red magicians can now improve their fire attack making it ultra hot. This adds extra attack which not even fire resistance can block. To activate this skill a card icon needs to be clicked in the battle screen to move it to the Attackers column. The number of cards that can be activated this way cannot exceed the number of attacking red magicians neither the number of cards in hand. At the end of a victorious combat that number of cards is discarded from hand. Chosen randomly and providing no benefit for the discard. The extra attack increases with Player Level. The formula for the extra attack is floor((4+player_level*num_cards_used)/10)
- Poison now also adds attack. Poisonous monsters have had their base attack lowered to compensate though but by a smaller amount than the gain from poison.
- Archers have become better at questing. When the last archer needed for a quest is spent it is exhausted instead of removed and an archer quest is drawn.
- Increased the generation of magic crystals in most hexes which produce crystals. Desert nomads and Pixies now start with more magic crystals than before.
- Added missing graphic to Surveyor hex.
- Increased cost of spell Magical Banquet from 1 to 2.
- Reduced the cost of spell Transcendence. But its effect now uses 2 magic crystals per earned renown (it was 1 per renown), to a maximum of 20 crystals for 10 renown.
- Spell magical forge now provides 1 material instead of 3.
- Updated and added tutorials about the new or changed game mechanics.
Birdmen's improved so that adventurers can move from an hex with no monster to any hex adjacent to an explored hex with no monster.
- Fix "Quest: Remove a minor curse". Now it costs only 1VP.
- Change how Prison hexes work. Now an active worker appears automatically when the monster is defeated. And can also get a 2nd exhausted worker by using an adventurer.
- Fixed typo in Prison.
- All minor monster are revealed at start of game instead of 6. This affects new games but not games started with earlier versions.
- New land card : Farseer.
- New land card : Surveyor.
- Fix bug with hexagons with abilities which depend on player level (like Mountains).
- Different colors for hexagon cursors for : Starvation, divination abilities and casting spells from the 3 different schools of magic.
- Reduced cost of "Quest: Build Roads" to 2xLogistics.
- New Quest : Build a Shipyard
- Quests now correctly display their base terrain after loading a savegame.
- Lands did not save their general terrain type. This was needed for lands with variable types like Explorer's Guild. The type is now saved and loaded. Unfortunately when loading a V0.012 savegame it is not possible to know what the type was so a new one which is valid is assigned, this has almost no effect in game play though.
- Map hexagons are now displayed with different graphics for each specific land. - When drawing a land or a quest you get to chose among 3 lands or 3 quests. - Support portable mode. - Renamed Rift to Plane of Earth as Stonehenge. - Renamed Colosseum as The Temple. - Renamed Caravans Market as Pyramid. - Fixed a but about guild chooser. - Added a tutorial screen about card drawing choosing to Tutorial : Basics.
- A button has been added to the tutorial screen to allow minimizing it. This allows viewing the whole game screen.
- Added clarification to the tutorial about discarding cards.

To Win A Game You Need to Earn Renown.
- One way is using your workers to activate map hexagons to collect resources and draw cards. Play cards to improve lands and create quests. Recruit adventurers and use them to complete quests, which will grant renown.
- Another way is to use recruited adventurers to explore lands and defeat monsters. 4 boss monsters per map can be found in the farthest locations, they provide the highest rewards upon defeating them.
- At player level 6 spells are also available.
Winning a game raises your player level. This unlocks new land and quest cards, player races, adventurer classes, spells and monsters. It also increases the challenge of further games.
For each game element that becomes unlocked a tutorial is available in-game to learn its use.
