





Drox Operative 2 patch 0.905

This patch improves the spying system (counterespionage, laying low, jump gate activation stealing, & better sabotage), makes armor plating more viable by increasing its resistance, balances a bunch of things better, and fixes several more minor issues. 0.905 change list:
- fixed not being able to declare war on Cataclysm races (sgisk/Diablo_68)
- espionage now has a chance of stealing a jump gate activation (Eris Shrugged)
- can now change stance of spies for a race to counterespionage (protects race)
- can now change stance of spies for a race to inactive (hard for spies to be caught) (Bluddy)
- increased armor plating radiation and EM resistance from 35% to 50% (KevinC)
- increased armor plating kinetic and thermal resistance from 0% to 25% (KevinC)
- fixed sabotage not starting the correct quests
- decreased race planet colonization standards so they will still ignore really bad planets but will colonize more
- no longer fail civil war quest from rebel because planet changed hands (Poilux/LotusBlade)
- increased relation changes for solving rebellions and civil wars
- flipped around civil war rebel quest relation rewards because by the time you solved it the rebels own the planet
- now much more likely to resurrect a race that can survive on the colonized planet (The Grand Mugwump)
- marines now have 5% damage inflation so their damage scales better (Boink/Eris Shrugged)
- increased socket SpawnChance by 50% (Darke)
- increased chances of chips dropping at higher levels (Darke)
- reworked collision damage so that thrust consumable would give you a damage boost
- doubled EaterOfWorlds health and increased damage mult by 50%
- sabotage can now start 3 new issues - crop failures, fire storms, and toxic chemical spills
- demands no longer help with economic victories
- now if a treaty in a trade fails to go through, entire trade is cancelled (Excellion/Sent Ernit)
- races will now reject all demands if at war with trader
- increased DesiredNumScouts 50%
- increased Freedom/Egalitarian dislike of Slavery races by about 33%
- increased relation penalies for doing system type of quests for enemies by 50% (still much lower than before)
- increased BasePowerRegen from 3.75 to 5.0 (energy regen) (Diablo_68)
- increased PowerRegenPerInt from 0.09 to 0.12 (energy regen per engineering point) (Diablo_68)
- added percents that the different layers of defense (shields, armor plating, structure) help against specific damage types to highlight text
- increased relation change from demands by 50%
- fixed race perspective drop box going off screen if too many races (Jean)
- added 2 more planet bonus icons
- updated aquatic music
- fixed upgrade consumable state not turning off automatically when you leave planet without clicking stop (Jean)
- added "except special weapons" to weapon chips (ZviHantsis)
- made it a little more obvious if an incoming trade is a trade, gift, or demand (Annex)
- removed next ship info from planet status (no longer very useful was never very accurate)
- now will automatically split items if spawned in greater amounts than the max stack (PhoAgne)
- fixed Engineering highlight mentioning drives (DysDaemoN)
- fixed getting huge ! on system map for ships needing to be rescued (Jean)

Drox Operative 2 is a starship action RPG with warring alien races, fierce space battles, a dynamic, evolving galaxy, and co-op multiplayer for Windows and Linux.
Eons ago the Drox crushed and enslaved the ancient races and ruled the galaxy through their mighty Operatives. These elite starship captains were trained to accomplish the impossible at whatever cost. Whether employing stealth or brute force, they were always deadly. Using these Operatives, the Drox ruled the galaxy with an iron grip for over 100,000 years. Eventually realizing their Operatives were a threat, they attempted to assassinate all of them. They failed. The following Galactic Civil War was so devastating that the Drox are now extinct. The Drox Operative guild, now fully independent, survived.
Newer races emerged and thrived in the power void ... for a while. Then the ancients returned. The wars were devastating, but with the Drox Operatives on their side, the ancients were beaten back and a truce was established.
Since the devastation, a 4th wave of sentient races are emerging in the galaxy. Unlike previous waves, there are thousands in this one and no one knows anything about them. In the new space race, the ancient, mature, and young races are all scouting, colonizing, and expanding, trying to take over the galaxy through diplomacy, technology, war, and any other means necessary.
As a Drox Operative it's NOT your job to manage an empire, you are after all the captain of a single starship. It IS your job to pick the winning side and maybe even help them conquer the galaxy if you're being nice, more importantly though is to rake in as many credits as possible, well that and build the deadliest ship in the known universe. Who will you back as an Operative? The ancient, mature, or young races? The pacifist or militaristic races? The xenophile or xenophobe races? The races that value freedom or the races that use slave labor? The strong or the weak? Your actions and inactions will impact trillions of alien lives!
