This week we've updated Hardcore Mode with a significant boost in challenge and reward, made improvements to AI behavior, and modified player physics in preparation for new features in our next dungeon: The Cyclopean City!
Due to the coronavirus lockdown we've pivoted our development roadmap to accommodate working from home, so features that don't require team collaboration are being prioritized: That means lots of new monsters and maps!
Our AI designer has been hard at work crafting four horrifying Shoggoths to serve as sub-boss and boss encounters in The Cyclopean City. Each has an assortment of puzzle-like abilities, such as psychic screams, poisonous slime trails, and tentacle-grabs that drag unwary explorers into their hideous gaping maw!
Once released this will be the largest content update of The Yellow King since early access launch! We've already begun internal testing, and our goal is to deliver the new dungeon to you in about 3 weeks.
