Extensions must be submitted and uploaded to the Steam Workshop with the #Pathfinderjam2024 tag before the deadline of July 4th, 2024.
Nothing that violates the Hacknet Community Code of Conduct or that you don't have the right to use. Basically be respectful, don't use anything that doesn't belong to you without permission.
In the spirit of competition, nothing that was submitted before this post went live will be eligible.

What? It's a community-run (not official!) Hackerjam with a strong focus on Hacknet: Pathfinder. Why? To Breathe new life into the extensions development scene by encouraging others to use Pathfinder! Why should I join? We've got prizes! The first place winner will win a Steam game valued at USD$70 or less, and three runner-ups will receive USD$10. (Additionally, the first place winner can choose to have USD$70 in cash, instead.) Is this official? Nope, not one bit! This is completely community-ran. Team Fractal Alligator and Fellow Traveler are not involved with this. Sounds cool, when does it start? June 4th! You'll have a full month to get your extensions done - so, they should be done by July 4th. Voting will start a few days after. Who votes? The community! There'll be a special thread in the Hacknet_Extensions Discord for users to vote on their favorite extensions. Hacknet is an immersive, terminal-based hacking simulator for PC. Dive down a rabbit hoIe as you follow the instructions of a recently deceased hacker, whose death may not have been the accident the media reports. Using old school command prompts and real hacking processes, you’ll solve the mystery with minimal hand-holding and a rich world full of secrets to explore.
Bit, a hacker responsible for creating the most invasive security system on the planet, is dead. When he fails to reconnect to his system for 14 days, his failsafe kicks in, sending instructions in automated emails to a lone user. As that user, it’s up to you to unravel the mystery and ensure that Hacknet-OS doesn't fall into the wrong hands.
Exploring the volatile nature of personal privacy, the prevalence of corporate greed, and the hidden powers of hackers on the internet, Hacknet delivers a true hacking simulation, while offering a support system that allows total beginners get a grasp of the real-world applications and commands found throughout the game.
