Hey everyone! That’s right, there’s a new update today! We know that some Mac and Linux players experienced issues with the last update and this is mostly what we improved here. However, we do not have access to a wide range of machines running on these operating systems, so if you encounter bugs, glitches, etc, please let us know in the forums or by email at support@parabole.ca.
FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
That being said, here is a glimpse of what today’s patch brings:
- Linux: The black screen glitch in the main menu should be fixed
- Linux: The mouse should now appear and work correctly in the main menu
- Mac: Bloom and Depth of field are now disabled by default as we are working on fixing compatibility issues with both effects (can be enabled if you have no issues with these options)
- Shader quality can now only be set at “high” if your graphic cards supports DirectX 11+
- Fixed the ice spike attack bug when encountering ice wolves on the snowmobile, which would sometimes make the game crash
- Most random crashes (when loading a game, for instance) have been fixed
- Other minor bug fixes and optimizations
UPCOMING CHANGES & KNOWN ISSUES
And here’s a short list of known issues and changes to come:
- Linux: the name of the region you are visiting doesn’t show on the screen when you arrive
- Linux: some may still encounter the black screen glitch and/or the mouse not working bugs in the main menu. If this is the case, please let us know, there is a work-around fix and we will make a sticky post in the forums
- Mac: Bloom and Depth of field disabled by default should fix most of the graphical glitches encountered in the last update. However, if you encounter similar glitches while these options are disabled, please let us know and we will fix them as soon as possible
- Random crashes: we were able to fix most of them, but there may be some that we might have missed. As usual, we will work on fixing them as soon as you report/we notice them
- We will add Russian language for subtitles, texts and menus
- We will add an option to enable/disable quick loading screens between areas
- More optimizations and bug fixes, as always ;)
