Set Sail on Haunted Seas for Halloween!

Throughout October, celebrate Paper Pirates spookiest seasonal event by taking part in the Halloween-themed Haunted Seas event! Running from 1st October - 31st October, a whole host of spooky goings on are waiting for you.

Seasonal Trait: The Witch

New to seasonal celebrations with Haunted Seas is the addition of a seasonal trait! Play a trait game during Haunted Seas, and one of the pirates may find themselves playing as The Witch.

The Witch has a well-stocked larder of ingredients with which to brew magic potions. On days when they dont play in, they can choose any combination of two ingredients, and then will get to use that potion before the event for that day takes place! Once youve learnt a recipe, using the same two ingredients will yield the same results - so pay attention to what youre mixing together if you want to play as the most skillful Witch you can.

Limited Time Customisation Options

During Haunted Seas, Sam Sherbot and Nat OBother have some new customisation options available to unlock in the Shop Ship! If you buy a customisation option during Haunted Seas, you can use it all year round - but the items will be disappearing from sale when the event is over, so dont delay and buy today!

Additionally, during Haunted Seas, pirates can wear the Witch Hat! Its available to everyone in voyages started during the event to help them magic up a plan to find the ghosts. Once the events over, the hat will disappear from your collection until next year, so be sure to wear it while you can!

Trick or Treat?

Go on a sailing adventure during the Haunted Seas event, and the Halloween Spirits may appear to one of the crew. During the Event phase of the game, the Trick or Treat? event may activate for the duration of Haunted Seas, offering a randomly chosen pirate a choice. Will they take the easy option and choose a treat, or are they feeling brave and willing to risk a trick?

Haunted Seas Bots

Invite some bots into your game during the Haunted Seas event, and you may find some of the regular crew replaced with new, super spooky Halloween-themed bots! Theyll only join your games during the Haunted Seas event, but each has their own dastardly personality and appearance for you to enjoy.

Sailing on Stream?

Crew all stranded ashore? We recommend playing Paper Pirates on your favourite streaming service to play with remote players! Don’t worry if you’re not in the same room; you can use the built-in chat feature. And with audience mode, if you’re streaming for the masses, everyone can jump in and affect how the game plays out!

Who can you trust?!

Every round, the captain will give out orders for their crew. Everyone doing their job gets us closer to shore, but watch out for when something goes wrong; a ghost must be about! And if things are going too well, then what’s to stop the captain being a ghost?

Get Off My Ship!

At the end of each round, you’ll vote for somebody to walk the plank. You want to purge the ghosts, but be careful... every innocent pirate overboard comes back to haunt someone anew!

I’m the Captain Now

When someone goes overboard you could be up for a promotion. The higher your rank, the more likely you are to get haunted and become a target. If you end up as captain, you’ll be the one choosing who gets to take part in each day’s task. Make sure you know who you can trust to get you home!

Are things going too well? Oops, we’ve hit rocks; a whirlpool has caught us; cue spooky ghostly apparitions! Are we nearly all out of treasure and all hope is lost? Help could come from a message in a bottle; a spy in the crows nest; an exorcism at sea!
