
MAIN UPDATES
Steam Workshop is now available in DEPO! Create your own levels and upload them for other players to enjoy. You can also download levels from other players. It's time to get creative!
There are 6 different buttons to filter levels: most downloaded, most voted, newest, random levels, friends levels, and my downloads.
Once a level has been uploaded to Steam Workshop, it can be updated if the same player uploads a level with the same name. This will replace the previous version, and an indicator with the update date will appear in the level list.
It is now possible to create levels with 0 jumps. Additionally, new objects in the editor allow you to increase or decrease the number of jumps for players.
A tagging system has been added to filter and find levels more easily.
A voting system has been added to rate levels positively or negatively.
The DEPO Maker section now leads directly to the Steam Workshop panel, where you can access the level editor.
A new song has been added to SAMson, Dark SAMson, the museum, and the editor.
NEW OBJECTS ADDED TO THE EDITOR
- Basic blocks can now have physics, allowing them to be pushed or thrown. They can also be breakable with missiles or have no collision.
- An invisible activator has been added that allows switching between Workshop levels, enabling the creation of worlds or hubs that redirect to other levels.
- 3 new objects: add jumps, remove jumps, and restore jumps for the player.
- Teleports have been added, allowing players to be transported to different areas within a level.
- Volumetric fog has been added to the level editor. (Its color can be changed, and it becomes denser if moonlight is used in the level.)
- A chasing balloon has been added to the level editor. You can now choose whether the killer balloon spawns in a fixed or random position and adjust its speed.
- A missile launcher has been added. If it detects you, it will launch a homing missile.
- An invisible activator has been added to the editor that triggers sounds.
- An invisible activator has been added to the editor that plays music tracks.
- New object added: a set of 200 boxes.
- New object added: small decorative stones.
- New object added: borders to enclose a level.
- New object added: cake.
- New object added: gray teleport.
- New object added: castle scenery.
- New object added: holographic ring.
- New objects added: chips, key, and keycards.
- Added icons and emoji images for placement.
- NPC voices can now be selected.
- Fixed: The Core Plaza object no longer has texture issues.
OTHER FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
- Buttons can no longer be repeatedly pressed when downloading, preventing Steam overload.
- Vote and random icons have been changed.
- Improved lighting in the editor and test scene.
- Improved tag icon resolution.
- Fixed issues with undo controls.
- Added an icon for the missile launcher.
- All level editor texts have been updated in all languages with new phrases.
- The level upload panel now closes automatically when updating a level.
- Selecting the "Easy" tag will now deselect "Hard," and the same applies to the "Long" and "Short" level tags.
- The race flag tag now activates automatically if the flag is placed in the level.
- Texts now appear in the editor as they are typed.
- Objects with physics now respawn at their original position if they touch lethal objects.
- A new "Jumps" object category has been added, replacing "Others" in the editor. This has been translated into all languages.
- Rotating objects no longer rotate in the editor, making them easier to move and adjust.
- The level editor is designed for use with a mouse, but Workshop level menus can also be navigated using a keyboard or controller.
- Added an error panel indicating that the local save path for a level is inaccessible.
- The random filter now shows all published levels, even if they havent been downloaded or played yet.
- Node system in the editor has been refined.
- The names of players who are not on your friends list now appear when downloading Workshop levels.
- A loading screen has been added when uploading a level, with a notification that it takes 1-2 minutes for it to appear publicly.
- When subscribing to a level for the first time, the play and uninstall buttons now appear.
- A loading screen has been added when testing a level.
- Buttons have been visually improved.
- A level cannot be uploaded unless a name, description, and tags have been added.
- An option has been added to enable/disable post-processing effects on the editor camera.
- Sounds have been added to buttons in the editor.
- Added error messages for Steam connection issues, missing levels, and loading screens.
- If there is no Steam connection, an error appears when trying to upload or download a level.
- A warning appears if you attempt to exit the level editor or access community level search while a level is in progress.
- If you subscribe/unsubscribe from a level on Steam, the changes will now update in the game when any filter button is pressed.
- The main menu now displays: "DEPO MAKER & STEAM WORKSHOP."
- The main menu now changes sounds for each option.
- Player script has been optimized, potentially improving FPS.
- Chat message resolution has been visually improved.
- 2D arcade levels are now playable in reverse mode.
- In the PixelDeck agenda, if you select a player without a skin, their icon now correctly appears without a skin when sending them a message.
BUG FIXES
- If you have a locally downloaded level that has been deleted from the Workshop, it will no longer cause a bug.
- Fixed a bug with platforms that change when jumping.
- Cloning multiple objects at once no longer causes them to lose their properties.
- Fixed an issue where the "Friends' Levels" button would take too long to loadpreviously, the more friends you had, the longer it took. Now it loads quickly.
- Fixed an error that displayed "unknown" when loading author names.
- Fixed an issue when returning to the editor after loading a Workshop level from another level.
- Fixed a problem with the size of editable texts.
- Fixed a critical error with the interactive text object that caused level sizes to become excessively largethis bug made level file sizes 100 times bigger.
- Fixed an issue when updating a level.
- Fixed a problem where graphics quality would be lost when returning to the main world.
- Corrected a bug with the flashlight in the Level Editor.
- Some objects no longer glitch when copied in the editor.
