Hello!
It is with great pleasure that I can announce that our very first Charles Games official soundtrack is out!
The 32-minute album includes a track from both Attentat 1942 and Svoboda 1945: Liberation. Mixing ambient layers with field recordings, experimental as well as historical instruments, it bears an unmistakable touch by its authors DVA. The Czech experimental duo has been around for more than 16 years and it has been an honor to cooperate.
Head to the official Steam page that includes snippets of some of the music - the collection includes previously unheard arrangements!

We asked Jan (a half of DVA) about the whole process.
"Creating game soundtracks is a very specific thing. It reminds me of building legos, a lot of loops and emotions you then layer on top of each other. With DVA, we mostly do cheerful music, so Attentat 1942 and Svoboda 1945 have been a big challenge. We had to get serious, dark, which is out of the ordinary."
And apart from innovative voicework, cellos, and folk music, Jan also shares some peculiar instruments used.
DVA
"For the most part, we combined field recordings (train station, laundry, water powerplant) and acoustic instruments. We also used a very special bass clarinet, probably used by a German and later Czechoslovak army. Bra, my colleague from DVA, got it in some pawn shop. Even today, you can see the year 1939 on it along with a slightly visible Swastika."
We hope you'll enjoy our soundtrack! If you prefer to get your music on Bandcamp, you can find it on the official page of DVA - https://dva2.bandcamp.com/album/ost-attentat-1942-svoboda-1945-liberation.
And as always, thanks for your continued support!
