Status Update: The Future of Educational Games, Cool Stuff at Learning Factory
[previewyoutube=6AzYQxBvdmU;full][/previewyoutube] In this episode we're meeting with Paul Darvasi, an educator with 20+ years of experience, who's now doing a visionnaire job, turining mainstream and indie games into school lessons. But most importantly, we're joined by his 11-years old son Max, who has a rather fresh perspective on what exactly is wrong with today's "educational games" and how games can and will be transforming classrooms. If you're interested in games for education, we encourage you to treat yourself with this optimistic episode! And if you want to know more about Learning Factory EDU, well...
Long time no see, huh? Well, let's catch up! We don't have much new gameplay to show yet, BUT! Learning Factory EDU's next version, to be featured during this upcoming session, sports some new stuff from the regular version (teaser alert!). Don't hesitate to come by, we'll talk about life, the Universe, and everything!
Join us on the Steam page, or head to Twitch or YouTube, we'll be monitoring all 3 chat rooms.
Ok, let's get back to the stuff most of you've come here for! Remember that new content we've mentioned last week? We'll our artist Sergei from Siberia has been quite busy and productive! We won't comment on much stuff; instead, you might suggest your own options - what are these preview images all about? What changes do they bring to the game? Like this one...
Or this one!
Oh yeah!!
A tiny visual difference - a giant leap for Learning Factory mechanics! But that's just one thing. We're also working upon a bunch of new buildings:
(If you can read Russian cursive, you might even find out what those buildings do!) (Another) Teaser alert: Learning Factory might be the ultimate place for buying top-tier graphic cards:
We don't, repeat, WE DON'T have solid release dates for all that goodness, the important thing to know is: we want to deliver it your way ASAP, the plans to start doing that is one of the upcoming weeks :) Until then...
Going to Early Access is but the first step to glory (and eternal cat happiness). Wanna be part of what happens next? Head to this blog post and learn how to help make the game even more awesome!
Learning Factory needs your help! Record a 10 or more minutes of you playing the game, share a video using any way you see fit, write your name into Learning Factory credits and get a promo cat! Make history here

Hey everyone! How's your week? As for us, we are, unsurprisingly, still working on Learning Factory, both regular and the EDU version for middle schools (as part of our collaboration with Games For Change). And while the former still has much, much development and polishing to happen (see some exciting WiP stuff below), Learning Faactory EDU is coming to its final shape. It's time for talking about insights and showing stuff!

Learning factory is an automation sim in which you will learn how machine learning works and design your own self-sustaining factory.
It's all part of perhaps the most important quest: trying to understand what your cat REALLY wants. Do you want that door opened? Or closed? Understanding such complicated creatures cannot be done without analyzing huge amounts of data and building a neural network. And there's just a place to go for all that.
Welcome to what once was the largest research site of cat behavior in the world: the now-defunct KOTOVOD Learning Factory. It was built to process the insane amount of data about cats and their habits. The project was shut down many years ago and now it's up to you to bring the mighty KOTOVOD back to its former glory
