New Update: Quality of Items, Exit Cat Gate & More!

This week is rather special for Learning Factory, since we're cracking a new stage of development: quality parameter has been introduced for items and resources (ok, this time it's only one resource, but more will follow). What will it turn into when scaled to the whole crafting mechanics? Well, there will be lots of stuff, including more diverse gameplay strategies and more challenge for experienced factory-builders! But as usual, it's not just that! Behold our rather lenghty list of new & cool features, including the long awaited cloud saves:

v0.13.98 Released!

New feature: quality of items (beta). Higher quality items increase the chance for a cat to call friends to the Factory upon selling, along with giving a chance of increasing overall Hype level upon selling. Higher quality items can be used in crafting instead of lower quality items of the same time. At the moment, the only item of higher quality is Wood harvested from Fir Trees
The amount of Wood harvested from Fir Trees is rebalanced
New building: Quality Splitter allows distinguishing higher quality items from lower quality items
New building: Exit Cat Gate allows the cats to leave your Factory without shopping; each cat left decreases overall Hype level
Terrain tiles can now be placed upon Rafts; Raft tiles will be automatically placed back to the inventory
Rafts and Lava Rafts are now also present on Logistics category (along with Terraforming category) on the building panel; Lava Raft research project is now related to Logistics and Terraforming fields of knowledge
In Campaign mode, theres now a Copper Vein to the right from the default Sphinx location
Certain piles of junk now also provide Copper upon harvesting
Added a feature to instantly collect all buildings on unlocked Territories (to be found to the left from the mini-map)
Added a feature to fertilize multiple plants at once: use Ctrl + click while applying the Fertilizer
Improved tutorial in Campaign mode
Cloud saves now available
Updated keys in localizations
System language is now automatically detected and selected on loading
More hints while loading the game
More Halloween decorations
Updated Art Pack: more sketches and wallpapers
1 new achievement

Learning factory is an automation sim in which you will learn how machine learning works and design your own self-sustaining factory.

It's all part of perhaps the most important quest: trying to understand what your cat REALLY wants. Do you want that door opened? Or closed? Understanding such complicated creatures cannot be done without analyzing huge amounts of data and building a neural network. And there's just a place to go for all that.

Welcome to what once was the largest research site of cat behavior in the world: the now-defunct KOTOVOD Learning Factory. It was built to process the insane amount of data about cats and their habits. The project was shut down many years ago and now it's up to you to bring the mighty KOTOVOD back to its former glory
