Today we added a new build of FreeCell Quest that has some new cosmetic steam inventory items that are fully tradeable and marketable on steam.

Also updated to the latest version of Unity, which caused lots of bugs which needed fixing, but should now have improved performance on load times and such.

Fixed the card sounds. They were set to 3D and were far from the camera object so they could barely be heard. Switched them to 2D mode.

Updated to Unity 5.4. This should help with Linux and Mac glitches. Turned card drop rewards back up.

Enabled vsync. - No 300 fps needed here. Reduced random attack rate from 5% to 2%. Reduced card rewards from villages and monasteries. Fixed incorrect nation icons. Restored tutorial. Updated to Unity 5.3.

New Sailing Interface. Lines are shown on map to clickable sailing destinations and the really terrible old menu removed. Sail destinations should be clear now. Cut sail cost by 95% Cut rest cost by 50% Upped death penalty to 20% of gold. Fix level achievements not awarding on the right level. Make Fizzle spell enabled only when an attack is pending. 36 achievements fully implemented. They cover leveling, unlocking Free Cells, completing nations and completing levels within a certain time. Removed moves counters from overworld and victory screen. Fixed a double attack bug was caused by moving your mouse over another location while the screen is fading out. Location was getting changed for the mouse over popup in the top right. Added tool tips to Overworld buttons to help explain everything intuitively. Changed the way the overworld shop buttons are setup. Removed extra line break on card tool tips. Increased music compression quality. Switched out Point of Interest music. Added tool tip for auto button during fight. Fixed rare crash caused by right clicking repeatedly during win screen. New character name entry field that should work on OSX. Lowered rewards for replaying levels that you've already beaten. Fixed health and mana bars showing on character select screen. Fixed buttons not being clickable more than once. Reverted to old NGUI version since it didn't fix character name field on OSX. Removed all references to "GP".

Changes Fixed Barbarian and Mage Classes Defaulted character name to "Alex" on OSX so that the game is at least playable. (Keyboard entry not working). Fixed problems with map scrolling and navigation getting disabled. Moved overworld menu. Made town status a mouse over popup so that you can preview what fights you are looking at. Hello, I'm Bryan Livingston and my latest game FreeCell Quest is released on Monday, October 19th, There's thousands of FreeCell games but they all feature the exact same game play. With this game I wanted to take the addicting game play of FreeCell and innovate. So I took it and made it into an RPG, complete with combat, spells, leveling and a gigantic beautifully rendered map to explore. This game is NOT ANYTHING LIKE the Fairway Solitaire type of games. I know it's not an ideal fit for most of the Steam user base, but lets try to get some more diversity of games and players on there. It's probably not going to ever turn a profit but I just had to make it because this unholy combination is just too good to pass up. The mobile FreeCell Quest version has been very well received with a 4.7 star review average! With the Steam release we moved away from the free-to-play limited and ad supported shareware model used on the mobile version, since it's just not a good fit for steam. The $4.99 price seems like an fair and honest deal considering the hundreds of hours a typical Free Cell addict can spend playing the game. Please grab it while there's the 15% launch discount sale. Top priorities going forward are adding side quests and a nicer tutorial to the game. Here's a list of changes for the last minute updates we're doing. Changes Fixed Main Menu Crash Relating to Background Map (This error was reported by our fancy error reporting system and while we've not been able to reproduce it directly, we're pretty sure it's fixed. Maybe caused by multi-touching while launching.) Fixed camera scrolling off map on menu screen. (Collider size was incorrect) Fixed Linux and Mac Builds (Zero files were getting deployed.)
