Fixed a small problem that there was when trying to connect to our servers. Not all players were affected but now it should work again for all of us. If the problem persists feel free to reach out again and we will hunt that bug down as if it was delicious, which it most likely is. With a few mushrooms... and some taters. Sprinkle of red wine. Slice of boar, red cabbage... forget about the bug.
Heya, fellow trolls, this small update adds a bit of new content and some quality of life changes. Have fun!
- Fixed a slowdown on old Steam versions.
- While potions remove the bleeding status effect their healing power is then reduced by 10% instead of 1 health point.
- The demon will now not only quench his thirst by looking at the potions you collect, he will also drink them, preventing any healing from them.
- Added the 'Martial Arts' skill.
- When a level up or loot screen opens while selecting the target for an active skill the skill's use won't be wasted anymore.
- Added the 'Drinking Straw' cave upgrade.
- Removed Twitter and Facebook links due to data privacy concerns.
- Removed Reddit link due to their hostile policy changes regarding API uses.
- Added a new hat for the mage class.
- Paladins now increase their damage with each adjacent enemy.
- Added the enemy skill 'Shatter Armor' which will halve your gained armor points while active.
- The first part of the selection line now gets highlighted in red to make it easier to see drawn patterns.
- Added option for a bigger font for the stat values of enemies.
- If an event card leaves the game in a situation where no match is possible the tiles will be renewed as usual now. - Updated the translation files. - Improved the support for the Steam Deck.
Just fixed a few texts that didn't change the used font upon language change resulting in broken texts for languages with special characters.
- The number of collected Mana Potions won't change the amount of skill cooldown reduction anymore. Only one will have any effect, the others will be discarded.
- The game over screen now offers a button which will open the combat log again so that you can review your last fatal turns in detail.
- Added the missing Japanese characters to the used font. Again.

- Thieves that are about to flee can't be killed during their flight animation anymore. Slippery crooks.
- When selecting the difficulty of the next wave you can now see your current quest and its progress.
- Fixed the cause of death string for death by possession.
This time we just have small fixed and one little new item:
- Fixed an error that could occur when unlocking an achievement.
- Added a new ring item level.
- The "Difficulty Selection" dialog now appears faster without the bouncing animation.
Now that the Nintendo Switch version has been released the changes have been integrated into this Steam version. It consists mostly of fixes and little improvements.
- Fixed the artifacts on the images of unlocks in the main menu and a few other places.
- Fixed the scrollbar of the language selection dialog in the main menu.
- The Buff Machine won't show the Skip button anymore if the slots stopped on their own.
- Added more info to the display of the Achievement Unlocked notification.
- When trying to start a new patrol without a selected quest the quest button will now be highlighted.
- The game over screen will now also show which wave you reached.
- A multitude of improvements regarding controller support.
- If the dog is distracting one of your opponents it will now be shown in the combat log.
- Switching the language during a patrol will now also retranslate the items you already have.
- The retirement confirmation dialog will now show the correct title instead of ushering you into your well deserved rest.
- After switching the language during a patrol the game over screen will now show the unlocked achievements in the correct language.
- If you gain a status effect that decreases your attack power it will now state that, instead of saying you gained a negative amount.
- Event effects that increase (or decrease) your attack power will now scale with each wave, making them more helpful (or dangerous) throught a patrol. Other event effects have also been altered that way.
This patch adds a few new things. Two of them are bigger: We now have a new enemy type that is difficult to encounter but should offer some extra challenge. Once he has proven his worth he might be encountered in more situations. We don't want to spoil anything but he is biiiig. Like really big. The second new addition is the Guardian class which has a focus on armour and defense and should allow for interesting defensive builds. We are eager to see what you all can come up with. Besides those two we added a new staff for the Mage class so that he can also try to earn the rat pack achievement. Good luck! Complete list of changes:

This update adds a new event, a new item which should help with the rat set achievement and fixes some minor bugs. It also introduces the first iteration of the Vietnamese translation (4% are done). As we are already way beyong 20k words it might take a while to complete.

This update introduces the combat log to the game. It is an optional textual represention of the events in the game which might help to understand what is happening when there are multiple enemies present. As there is a lot of text to translate this feature is currently only available in English. To toggle the combat log during a patrol click the new third button in the top right of the screen. With further updates new events will be listed there in greater detail. Besides the combat log a lot of other small things have changed. The equipment screen was reorganized to better fit the desktop resolutions and some objects in the game now offer tooltips and futher explanations. And we finally found the bug which caused duplicate tiles, thanks to the multiple detailled reports of "Admiral Billy" and other users. If it ever happens again, just let us know. Here is the full list of the changes:
- Rearranged the layout of the equipment screen so that no scrolling is necessary anymore.
- The scale of the board and tiles can now be reduced via the settings menu.
- The middle mouse button can now be used to open the details of tiles and enemies.
- When trying to save a troll as a screenshot while Steam is not running the game won't freeze anymore.
- The item shop and level up screen now have bigger buttons for faster access.
- Your items now have tooltips showing their general stats.
- Your skills now have tooltips showing their description.
- The description of poisoned potions will now show the damage you will receive upon collection.
- If an enemy's attack is armour piercing his damage indicator will be shown in red now.
- The online leaderboards will now display the global Top 10 instead of nothing if not logged in.
- Skills that can only be used once per wave won't show a cooldown value anymore.
- Increased the damage of explosive to bosses to 10 times the damage of a sword tile.
- Enemies with the drunkard ability will now heal more points if they drink more potions.
- You can now toggle a combat log which will show the most recent things that happened during the patrol in detail. This will be expanded with further updates.
- The Shark Hat will now have an image.
- The achievement 'Treasure Hunter' will now be granted again.
- The Wand of Lightning does now ignore armor.
- When the enemies of the next wave get displayed during the selection of the difficulty (requires a cave upgrade) those can now be clicked for additional details.
- The character sheet now has a tooltip for armor durability explaining its workings.
- Magic Missile is now armor piercing.
- Fixed the bug of tiles sometimes staying on the board resulting in duplicate tiles.
- Improved the higher level effectiveness of the skill "Boost Armor".
- Added an exit button to the main menu. No one needs that one though, right? We aren't quitters.

Stand firm, take whatever weapon is close and fight them off to get your family and friends to safety. Protect what is rightfully yours, your home, your heritage. They come for blood, for revenge, to still their blood thirst. But you won't allow it.
Gameplay
Fight of waves of enemies, each consisting of at least 50 turns. Each turn you can collect connected tiles which will yield rewards depending on their type:- Potions heal you and might even yield you a powerful healing potion that you might use whenever you need it.
- Shields will replenish your armor and count towards your loot value. Collect enough and you can improve your items. You might even find explosives.
- Coins will allow you to purchase stronger weapons and more powerful armor.
- Swords can be connected with enemies to deal them damage. Killing them will increase your experience which will lead to levelups and new and better skills.
At the end of each wave you will encounter a boss enemy who is stronger and more dangerous than any other enemy you encountered on your way so far. Defeating him can unlock new features and new enemy types. Completing a wave may even trigger a random event that will offer you multiple choices to resolve it.
After your first patrol you may also select one of multiple offered quests which will yield you tentacles and other rewards which can be used to purchase permanent upgrades for your cave.
Will you be the saviour of your people? Or just another worm, crushed under the heels of those so-called heroes?
