1st September 2017... the first Oppaidius Summer demo was released on itch.io. So, everything began that day This is the illustration I did, to celebrate my perseverance in working years on the same project, and then actually releasing 3+1 Visual Novel games :D

Hello, good boys and girls! Last month, I started shipping physical Kickstarter rewards to everyone. At the moment, I shipped 44 packages, so more than a third of the total. I'm setting up another 10 packages, they will ship probably on Monday or Tuesday. Compared to my first Kickstarter campaign (2017-2018), now shipping stuff internationally is way more complicated. For every package shipped outside EU, I have to fill up a customs declaration paper (a quite packed one...), and shipped items data and addresses (mine and recipient ones) have to be filled BY HAND every time digitally by the post office employee. Then I have to sign a paper document and a digital one, for every single ITEM shipped. And with Covid, everything is much more complicated. I have to book up an appointment at least 2 days before... and ship only max 10 packages at once. So, unfortunately the process will be not really fast. I'm trying to ship at least 10 packages for week, please wait a little further! In last update I already showed up all the physical rewards, the only one missing was the regular copy, here it is:

Well, we're finally there. Oppaidius Desert Island! released on Steam about 12 days ago. At the moment, the game is going well, but it suffers from a lack of reviews. Right now, only 12 on Steam, and 1 on VNDB.org. If you enjoyed the game, please consider to leave a review.
Also, Fan Pack DLC has been released. It contains: - Soundtrack selection (5 mp3 files)* - 4 uncompressed original PSD files, used for the Live2D animations of the XXX scenes in the game - Exclusive nude version final wallpaper (only available there) - Handwritten "thank you" message *Angela's Theme - Octopus' Theme - Rika's Theme - Dan-dan's Theme by Luca Della Regina Angela's Theme Arrange Ver. by Tsuyoshi Kaneko It costs 9.99$. This will help support us and our next projects. So, the game has been released according to original Kickstarter campaign plan. It wasn't easy, since during the last year me and Matteo worked together only via Skype, due to Covid issues. But in the end, with a lot of passion and a bit of hours of sleep less, dealing with acid reflux and all the other things in our life, we managed to have fulfilled the promises, and we are quite happy about that. Another important thing I want to share with you guys: the game features all of the Stretch Goals from original Kickstarter campaign, of course. In the end, unfortunately we couldn't reach the 13,500 goal. That goal would have added to the game 2 extra "XXX" scenes, fully animated with Live2D. Well, since this is probably the last Oppaidius game... I didn't want to to keep any regret about this project, so I tried to add 2 extra scenes anyway. One is a fully animated scene, just done by hand by me. About 37 frames, traditional animation (unfortunately no more money to do it with Live2D like the others!). The other one was done in Live2D, but it is not a "100%" new scene, just a... "variant" of another scene. When you'll see it, you'll get it. So... in the end the game got a bit more than what it was funded for... Sorry for this little digression, but sometimes it is sad to read nasty comments about the game, or about the crowdfunding campaigns in general. Of corse, luck always plays a major part, but passion never lacked for a single day during the whole development, since the start of the whole Tropical Cruise/Desert Island saga project, back at the beginning of 2019. We are a relatively small community, so I know every one of you could feel this game as "his own", as well. Please enjoy this moment, it belongs to all of you. Hello, good boys and girls! Oppaidius Desert Island! is essentially completed, but we need few more days in order to fix the last things. It is fully playable from start to finish, but unfortunately the endings/unlocked stuff/achievements system has some weird behavior, so we need to work on it a bit more. I don't want to release a game with bugs on D1, we're trying to make it without issues from 1.0 version already, if possible. Also, this game is HUGE compared to the ones we did in the past, so the 2-3 days working on the last adjustments are just not enough this time around. We plan to submit the game build to Steam in the next few days, so if they accept it the game will probably be released next week on Tuesday/Wednesday (during the weekend, Steam review system of course is not updated). If Steam "bounces" us off, we need to add at least 2/3 days more. Crossing fingers... I'm sorry for that (I probably underestimated the final adjustments time required, I expected it to be way less than a week, but it wasn't enough), but let me tell you, I'm really happy with the final result! The game is almost 100% like I imagined it in my mind years ago, and I hope you guys will be happy too, to play it and to read your names in the ending credits. Hello, good boys and girls! We are going to complete the 0.3 build tomorrow, and then ship it to the top backers! This build is composed by: Chapters 1+2 pretty much completed - with English text! Chapters 3+4 pretty much completed We already added a couple of "VERY IMPORTANT SCENES(TM)" in those 4 chapters... please have a look, if you have the chance! For 0.4 build, we aim to add Chapter 5 at least 75% completed, and English text for Chapter 3. Monthly fanart for October is Chiho from "Gigant" manga, feat. Godzilla!

This build is composed by: Chapter 1 pretty much completed - with English text! Chapter 2 pretty much completed Chapter 3 about 75% completed In those chapters, there are already some sequences we worked a lot on, so I hope the top backers will have the chance to have a look. Super J free story! - Super J solo visual novel, (P)lunge All the Way, Super J! An Oppaidius short story is almost ready. We're in the middle of adding the final touches, and translators are working on the English text. We plan to release it for free on itch.io at the end of the month. It was unlocked during the Kickstarter campaign thanks to the RTs and Twitter engangements of you guys! It is a short story, not a full visual novel like other Oppaidius games. A fresh "aperitif" to enjoy in a evening, perfect to kill the time for Oppaidius Desert Island!
Vittorio's Patreon! - I started a Patreon, where starting from 2 you will have access to the exclusive nude versions of monthly fanart. You can vote in the monthly poll to choose the character, at the moment Camilla from Fire Emblem leads for September fanart! Polls are taken on Oppaidius Discord.
