Hi folks, We just released a new stability patch for DemonCrawl! :-) This update includes several buffs and reworks to early game items, which should help players get their builds off the ground a bit more consistently. A larger update is also scheduled for release next week - that one will land in our beta branch first, so make sure to support us on Patreon if you want to get your hands on it as soon as possible. New Features

The "choose legendary" prompt now also applies to divine items
Barbecue rework: "[100 Mana] Consume a random meat item to gain a soul."
Guild Bond rework: "For 100 seconds, whenever you spend coins on a stranger, gain a soul."
Expanded body font with ccentd glyphs
Added JSON support for stage mod toast notifications, artifacts, emblems, and glints

Balance Changes

Patron Saint now creates strong familiars
Gambler price reduced from [10-20] to [8-15]
Trapper price reduced from 4 to 2
Bloomberries price reduced from 23 to 19

Quality of Life

Added a dictionary entry for Metagate
Updated the description of Occultic Pendant for clarity
Added fail message for Ace of Spades
Updated tips for Linux players who are having trouble getting the game to launch (see "possible_dependencies" folder)

Bug Fixes

Fixed string issues related to Yarn of Life, Yarn of War, Strange Egg, Eye of the Tiger, Candelabra, and Chaos Portal
Fixed a rare crash related to Infinity Key
Fixed another couple issues with the autosolver's understanding of the monster count
Fixed Glitch omen bypassing omen immunity
Fixed incompatibility between Handaxe and Demolitionist mastery
Fixed Shade boss not writing concealed cells to disk in some cases
Fixed an issue with barrels that could cause them to get destroyed if they were created by a magic item on the same step
Fixed a crash related to activating a Mystic Statue in an immutable stage
Fixed cell colors not properly resetting when re-entering a stage
Fixed Dangerous stage mod failing to increase power under some circumstances
Fixed Trash Bin failing to activate if a non-numbered cell was targeted among a group of valid targets
Fixed a crash related to the Dark Chest curse that adds monsters to stages
Fixed a crash related to hovering a manalocked magic item status effect in the help menu
Bubbles created by the Frothy mod will spawn in the center of the screen, rather than at the top left
Cleaned up some antiquated code
Speculative fix for a crash related to gaining a status effect on the same step as abandoning a stage
Speculative fix for a crash related to dying in a Flawless Boss stage

Hotfix #1 @ 6:40 PM EST - Possibly fixed an issue that caused the "stage complete" button to appear prematurely. Working to determine if this has been fully resolved.
