1.15a Raid changes

As many people have requested I will be changing up how raids work a bit + other fixes Patch notes: Changes

  • Fixed diagonal movement
  • Lowered sprinkler sound effect to be less annoying
  • Nerfed wolf armor to give less move speed
  • Buffed some bosses, increasing hp and damage
  • A bunch of item balancing
  • Magic food consumption increased
  • Whetstone repair nerfed slightly
  • Increased day duration by 10 minutes, making it 30minutes per day instead of 20. Giving more time to advance through crafting tiers and experiment
  • Made the raids weaker at the beginning of the game and harder later
  • Buffed health of late game enemies
  • Fixed red screen flash effect in multiplayer
  • Fixed sounds in multiplayer
  • Buckets no longer need to be refilled after being filled the first time.
  • Raid enemies will no longer appear in your base, but now they wont ignore your base either, if you are far from your base and enemy finds your base in the path to reach you, some of them will do damage passing through it.
  • Made blood mood effect slightly lighter
  • Enemies will now collide with themselves, making melee enemies harder to cheese since you cant stack them up anymore.

Small patch fixing some issues and improving quality of life =] Patch notes: Changes

  • Minor text / Description changes
  • Reduced speed of spikes from death blossoms in the forest
  • Minor visual fixes
  • Fixed dropped items not disappearing
  • Removed "In development" text at the top of the screen (I will still update the game just less often)
  • Sorting for chests
  • Increased stack size to 30 from 20
  • Updated chest recipes to make them more accessible earlier
  • Fixed weird glitch with some items popping up on your cursor from inventories
  • Made signs to be craftable earlier in the game
  • Redid how hammers work to make them easier to use
  • Added trash bin to inventory
  • Slightly lowered pumpking boss spawn
  • Balanced some day 20+ raids
  • Fixed the game crashing on raids at days 37 and 42

"Slug" update v1.0 Official release!

Hello everyone, Sorry it took so long, but we are finally here, leaving early access, biggest update as of yet, hopefully you all will enjoy it! PS: This is not the end, I will continue to try and fix any issues that you may find and as always, all the feedback is appreciated!

Patch notes:


New added:


  • New playable character "Sahara"
  • "Easy" mode, since a lot of people requested easier gameplay, this will be an alternative to normal mode, still giving access to raids but making the gameplay a lot easier, giving automatic HP regen, same as sandbox mode, just a bit slower, reducing creature speed/dmg and other changes.
  • Now each difficulty mode will give different starting items, sandbox giving the best ones and hardcore giving the worst.
  • Added screen effect when getting hurt, to notice damage easier, especially when starving.
  • Arrow turrets (require arrows as ammo)
  • Iron fishing rod for faster casting and increased durability over the wooden one.
  • Huge Slashers sword.
  • Bunny/Knight/Elite warg badge accessories.
  • Sword sheet accessory.
  • Rare blue rose (flower).
  • Hay bale decoration.
  • 4 new statues.
  • Gold crown (helmet).
  • Gold sword.
  • Viking helmet.
  • Added rare swordfish.
  • Added random rocks to ocean biome.
  • Added coal rocks to the world.

  • A bunch of new SFX, plus some updates to older ones.
  • Added a simple tune to the main menu.
  • Updated the wiki to include all of the creatures and additional improvements. Wiki page
  • 2 New console commands "/help" to list all commands and "/togglerain" to toggle rain/snow on and off.
  • Added warning to saves that are not compatible with current version, can still be played but will be quite broken.
  • Added a bunch of random speech bubbles that can happen from time to time, suggesting what you might want to do.

Changes:


  • Increased fishing rod casting speed and reduced the duration needed to catch fish and improved the chances of catching something.
  • Increased the plants that can be planted in plant pots.
  • Changed the way worlds are generated to make them smoother.
  • Updated the maps to better show exploration.
  • Reduced the roll cooldown.
  • Variuos balancing changes to items and creatures.
  • Balancing changes to bosses and raids.
  • Improved skills for bosses and some creatures.
  • Changed the way raids appear on the map to make it smoother.
  • Updated the attack for "Wood staff"
  • Improved the way fertilizer works to instantly grow the plant instead of requiring multiple uses.
  • Improved how gates look, making them a bit bigger.
  • Increased the amount of arrows crafter per craft.
  • Improved a lot of building placements.
  • Fixed snowfall in tundra.
  • Updated some inputs to look better and smoother.
  • Improved raid notification for multiplayer.
This is the biggest update so far, hopefully worth the 1.0 mark. If people will be interested, I will keep updating the game! =]

"Shadow" update v0.9a

Hello everyone, Might not look like a big update, but this was necessary to improve the game and took quite a lot of time, hope you will like it =]

Patch notes:


New added:


  • New playable character "Light"
  • Items to summon late game bosses (Skull of the undeath, tentackle of the tentareach and underlords throne)
  • A rare "Watchers sword" drop
  • Throne decoration
  • Armor cases to display your badass armor sets
  • Inventory full speech bubbles from your character ;P

Changes:


  • Reworked most of the chunk loading mechanics, which means you can now play larger worlds with weaker computers, hopefully less crashes and smoother gameplay
  • Reduced loading times in half
  • Minor balancing and description changes
  • Ranged enemy attacks no longer destroy nature (trees,rocks,etc) and can only damage your structures

Minor fix v0.81a

Just a small fix solving some problems that plays have been having with the "Lich" update Patch notes:

  • Fixed not being able to pick up multiple items at once
  • Reduced the water monster attack event
  • Fixed map dragging issue
  • Reduced character icon scaling on bigger worlds
  • Reduced hunger scaling over time slightly
  • Fixed some minor description issues

"Lich" update v0.8a

Hello everyone, I am happy and quite excited for this update, so hope you will like it too =]

Patch notes:


New added:


  • Altar crafting station ( for creating new summon stones)
  • 3 new summoning items (Pumpkings orb, bunny totem and ice knights token)
  • Ambrosia, new high tier healing item that restores 100 HP
  • Bamboo spear
  • Recipe to craft sticks from logs
  • Ranged attacks from creatures now damage structures, making them a lot harder to deal with
  • New summonable creature "Ice knight" which drops a ice ball cannon
  • Lich a new playable character, which starts with a hoe and some food, great for an early farm play through
  • Added a teleport command
  • Hardstone spike, high tier trap
  • Iron hammer, item used for destroying built structures fast
  • Aggresive creatures now additionally attack NPC traders
  • Added speech bubbles above player for some events happening in the game randomly
  • HUGE improvement for controller support

  • Reduced seed drops of most of the plants
  • Reduced speed of some of the aggresive creatures
  • Reduced rates of pumpkling and fluffatron showing up
  • Buffed health of most structures, including spike traps
  • Increased light amount of held torches

  • Balancing of structures and recipes
  • Made the night more blue tinted
  • Increased fog chance

Bug fixes:


  • Fixed vampire eat animation in the water

Hi everyone! Been pretty busy so just a little patch this time, but hope you like it! =]

Patch notes:

  • Added social media links to the game's main menu so you can find wiki / discord and other stuff easier.
  • New rainbow bloom plant with its seeds, up to you to figure out how you get them :P
  • Mixed petals, made from combining different flowers
  • Watermelon with its seeds
  • Bean paste used for some advanced crafting made from magic beans

Hope you all are doing well, I try to listen to everyone's feedback and improve the game as much as I can, but I need you all to tell me what you like or dislike in the forums or in our new discord =]

  • Whetstone for repairing 40 of item durability
  • Infused whetstone for repairing 100 of item durability, made by processing normal wheststones in infuser
  • Musket with steel balls as ammo for late game
  • Added hardstone floor
  • Added candles as lights

  • Added keybind for shift click ( move item to other inventory) and ctrl click (split stack of items)
  • Added one new tune (Spooky tuba)

  • Improved charge attack of some creatures, where before they would spin in one spot after charging
  • Slightly lowered the amount of villages spawning in grasslands
  • Slightly increased the distance at which you can build

  • Reduced the spawns of second boss (Tentareach) and changed so spectres summon sword skeletons instead of normal skeletons

Bug fixes:


  • Fixed a bug where you could pick up armor from inventory when it is closed
  • Hives no longer spawn any creatures if dealing 0 damage
  • items no longer disappear if crafting with full inventory
  • Fixed a bug where loading save games could display villages that arent explored
  • Reworked map system, before there was a bug on huge worlds that some players couldnt load the map
  • Fixed a bug where firefly light would show up while in map mode

  • Adjusted thorns damage from various plants
  • Items now automatically get pulled towards you

Underlings is a game of survival in a ruthless world in which everything is trying to kill you, hunt, gather, farm and build, but most of all, die and try again.

You will play as one of the "evil" creatures of the world, trying to escape your past and live a peaceful life, being forever hunted by the bosses of underworld.
Explore the world of dangerous beasts, gather interesting resources to craft new weapons and armor, build up your base and try to defend it against raids of hell, or fail and have it destroyed as you run away scared and try to rebuild it again.

    Theres no hand holding, you will be dropped in the world where danger lurks everywhere, its up to you to survive, doing whatever it takes.

  • Randomly generation:
