Albion Online is Six!
We begin with a look back at the previous anniversary, which marked a huge milestone: five years since Albion Onlines official launch. The celebrations kicked off with the debut of a brand-new in-game event, Living Legacy, which saw statues of Albion's past season winners come to life and roam the open world. [previewyoutube=YlCnHz4g0B4;full][/previewyoutube] The festivities continued with a special Anniversary Stream where Albion's developers discussed creating the game, offered rare insights into early development builds, and gave a sneak peek at what the coming months and years might bring to the world of Albion.
In November, Albion's next major update, Beyond the Veil, went live. This brought mysterious and magical new realms to the game, foremost among them the Mists, a new land of danger and opportunity. The update also introduced the lost city of Brecilien, a whole new Fey Armor line, Pristine Resources, and numerous other features and improvements.
2022 was wrapped up with Albion Online receiving the MassivelyOP "Best PvP" Award for the second year in a row, while also appearing on several best-of lists in 2022, including Rock Paper Shotgun's "30 Best Steam Deck Games" and MMORPG.GG's "18 Best Isometric MMOs".
2023 kicked off with the announcement of one of the biggest developments in Albion Onlines history: the launch of a second server based in Singapore, Albion East [https://albiononline.com/news/coming-to-asia]. This would offer a completely fresh version of the game which players would build from the ground up, along with massively improved ping for the Asia-Pacific region and game timers optimized for that region. [previewyoutube=iUTHkUlxJ4A;full][/previewyoutube] Prior to the servers full launch, a Closed Betawas held. This included a unique, three-week long Beta Guild Season, allowing players to experience an intense, condensed season with permanent rewards for the most successful. S I A M marked their place in Albions history by taking the crown for this season, before the new server opened its doorsto everyone!
The launch of Albion East saw an unprecedented rush of players arrive, as they sought to progress their characters and guilds from humble beginnings and carve out their piece of Albion. The first two weeksof the server saw nearly two billion resources gathered, nearly three million PvP kills, and, sadly, 2,680,889 dead rabbits - numbers which increased even more rapidly as the weeks went on.
But most notably of all, the server launch saw Albion Online smash its all-time player record, with an astonishing 300,000 active users on April 2 across both servers! This eclipsed the previous record, set following the mobile launch, and confirmed that the new server was taking Albion to new levels of popularity and activity across the globe.
While this astounding achievement took place, development of the game did not stop, and May brought with it the release of a major patch: Knightfall. [previewyoutube=xhLxGK0MvnA;full][/previewyoutube] This expanded on and improved the features from Beyond the Veil in significant ways, adding new layers of depth and gameplay opportunities. The Mists received new treasure objectives, along with a brand-new dungeon: the storied and atmospheric Knightfall Abbey. Brecilien saw the arrival of a trader, Eralia Wayfarer, offering never-before-seen wares to those with sufficient standing. And swift, magical Mystic Owl mounts could be raised from Owlets to transport players through the world.
As Albion heads into its seventh year, anticipation is building for even more big developments over the coming months - including new Shapeshifterweapons, which will allow players to switch back and forth between Human and Shape forms with different abilities, bringing entirely new dynamics to combat in Albion. [previewyoutube=U2bXBopsnk0;full][/previewyoutube] With this and more on the way, the next year shows no signs of slowing down. And of course, it is you, the players, who bring this world to life, and were eternally grateful for your continued enthusiasm and support for the game. The Living Legacyevent is currently running, so you can mark this occasion in-game against sentient statues from Albions past to earn special rewards. And heres a toast to you, the community, as we look ahead to another exciting year for Albion Online! [previewyoutube=0GkBBVDtqIo;full][/previewyoutube]

Albion Online is a sandbox MMORPG set in an open medieval fantasy world. The game features a player-driven economy where nearly every item is player-crafted. Combine armor pieces and weapons suited to your playstyle in a unique, classless "you are what you wear" system. Explore the world, take on other adventurers in thrilling battles, conquer territories, and build a home.
Craft. Trade. Conquer.
Dive in now and become part of a living fantasy world where everybody matters.
From basic tools and clothes to mighty armors and powerful weapons – nearly every item in the game is crafted by players, in player-constructed buildings, from resources gathered by players. Buy, sell, and trade with other players at local marketplaces all across the world of Albion. Craft rare and powerful items, then sell them to the highest bidder and grow your fortune.
In Albion Online's classless combat system, you are what you wear. The weapons and armor you use define your skills, and switching playstyles is as easy as switching gear. Test out new equipment anytime and change up your weapons, armor, and mounts to suit any situation. Hone your character’s skills by crafting new items, or by simply using your favorite equipment.
From solo to small-group to large-scale battles, you'll need strategy, tactics, and skill to prevail. Test yourself against other adventurers in high-risk, high-reward full-loot fights. Level your combat specializations, create unique builds with complementary skills, and use every tool at your disposal to emerge victorious.
Join a guild and carve out your own piece of Albion in massive open-world battles. Claim territories for access to incredible resources, construct guild halls, and conquer entire cities to levy taxes and grow your wealth. Build a Hideout to give your guild a powerful home base deep in dangerous lands. Lead your guild to victory in the Crystal League, and track your progress against other guilds worldwide on a constantly-updated seasonal leaderboard.
Claim a city plot or private island and make it your own. Grow crops to sell or craft into food, raise your own livestock and mounts, and place crafting stations for other players to use for a fee. Stock your house with custom furniture and trophies, build chests to store your growing collection of loot, and hire laborers to keep everything at your homestead running smoothly.
From small scouting bands to massive bosses, from dungeons to full-blown faction bases, the inhabitants of Albion’s open world await your challenge. Take on six different factions, each with different enemies that require unique strategies. Partake in solo or group Expeditions, or seek out the ultimate thrill by facing demons and other players alike in Hellgates and Corrupted Dungeons.
Explore five beautiful biomes, each with its own challenges. Gather valuable raw materials for crafting, or cast a line into Albion's waters to catch rare and valuable fish. Seek out randomly generated solo and group dungeons and slay powerful foes for valuable loot. Enter the mystical Roads of Avalon to discover ever-changing paths between distant zones, face off against long-dormant foes, and build your own Hideout in this vast and ancient land.
Albion Online is a true cross-platform MMO experience. Whether you prefer Windows, Mac, Linux, or even Android or iOS (mobile currently in beta), one account lets you play on all platforms, with all players on a single shared server. Forge alliances with other players worldwide and take part in massive battles to determine the fate of Albion.
