Your First Steps in Albion Online
Albion Online doesnt offer set quest lines - rather, you decide what path you will take from the beginning. With that in mind, though, a good early objective is to increase your Fame (Albions equivalent of experience points), which will let you unlock more gear and abilities. Combat Fame can be gained by killing mobs, and an Expedition is a great way to do this early on. Just visit the Expedition Master near the center of any Starter Town or City - marked by a large glowing blue portal to begin. Expeditions offer plenty of Combat Fame, plus an additional reward for the first Expedition you complete each day.
For a greater challenge, find a Solo Dungeon in the open world. A tier 3 dungeon should be easy to complete, and offer more Silver and loot than an expedition.
After a few expeditions or dungeons, youll be able to unlock tier 3 or 4 weapons and armor, along with enough Silver to buy some new gear. Youll also be able to equip a Riding Horse or Transport Ox, which are big improvements over your humble Mule.
This is also a good time to begin gathering resources. Buy a bag and some tier 2 gathering tools from the market, and journey out into the open world. Each of Albions five biomes contains three types of natural resource:
The resources you gather can be used to craft weapons and armor, but at this stage it probably makes more sense to sell them at the Marketplace and buy any items you desire.
Its not just mobs that you can fight in Albion Online - you can also go into combat against other players. PvP rules in Albion Online vary depending on the zone you are in. In blue zones, you cannot be killed or looted. In yellow zones, you can be attacked by other players, but not killed or looted - you only get knocked down. In red or black zones, you can be killed and lose the items youre carrying, or kill your enemies and take their loot. Keep in mind that you will never lose your hard-earned Silver or Gold if killed or knocked down by players or monsters.
If you want to start your PvP journey in relative safety, try some Arena battles, where you dont have to worry about losing your items. You can also join a City Faction to fight against rival factions in the open world. Or try out a Hellgate, with varying degrees of danger. Once you get the hang of it, PvP in Albion Online can be truly thrilling. Just remember the golden rule: never go into battle with more gear than you can afford to lose!
Now that you know the basics, a huge universe is open to you in Albion. Experiment with an almost endless range of possible builds for your character. Join a guild, and take part in fierce battles for territories or help forge an economic empire. Buy your own island to farm animals and crops which you can take to market. Venture deeper into the open world, in search of more valuable resources, mobs, and dungeons. Explore Albions more mysterious and magical realms like the Mists and the Roads of Avalon. Or just go fishing.
In Albion Online, greater risk brings greater rewards - so dont be afraid to take the next step into the unknown. Remember, if it doesnt work out you can just dust yourself off and go again, or try a different path. Your journey is in your hands. So good luck out there, adventurer, maybe well run into each other some time!

From basic tools and clothes to mighty armors and powerful weapons – nearly every item in the game is crafted by players, in player-constructed buildings, from resources gathered by players. In Albion Online's classless combat system, you are what you wear. The weapons and armor you use define your skills, and switching playstyles is as easy as switching gear. Test out new equipment anytime and change up your weapons, armor, and mounts to suit any situation. Hone your character’s skills by crafting new items, or by simply using your favorite equipment.
From solo to small-group to large-scale battles, you'll need strategy, tactics, and skill to prevail. Test yourself against other adventurers in high-risk, high-reward full-loot fights. Level your combat specializations, create unique builds with complementary skills, and use every tool at your disposal to emerge victorious.
Join a guild and carve out your own piece of Albion in massive open-world battles. Claim territories for access to incredible resources, construct guild halls, and conquer entire cities to levy taxes and grow your wealth. Build a Hideout to give your guild a powerful home base deep in dangerous lands. Lead your guild to victory in the Crystal League, and track your progress against other guilds worldwide on a constantly-updated seasonal leaderboard.
Claim a city plot or private island and make it your own. Grow crops to sell or craft into food, raise your own livestock and mounts, and place crafting stations for other players to use for a fee. Stock your house with custom furniture and trophies, build chests to store your growing collection of loot, and hire laborers to keep everything at your homestead running smoothly.
From small scouting bands to massive bosses, from dungeons to full-blown faction bases, the inhabitants of Albion’s open world await your challenge. Take on six different factions, each with different enemies that require unique strategies. Partake in solo or group Expeditions, or seek out the ultimate thrill by facing demons and other players alike in Hellgates and Corrupted Dungeons.
Explore five beautiful biomes, each with its own challenges. Gather valuable raw materials for crafting, or cast a line into Albion's waters to catch rare and valuable fish. Seek out randomly generated solo and group dungeons and slay powerful foes for valuable loot. Enter the mystical Roads of Avalon to discover ever-changing paths between distant zones, face off against long-dormant foes, and build your own Hideout in this vast and ancient land.

Whether you prefer Windows, Mac, Linux, or even Android or iOS (mobile currently in beta), one account lets you play on all platforms, with all players on a single shared server.
