Albion Online Turns Seven!
Albions players got a taste of Wild Blood in the fall, as a new content update introduced some massive features to the game. [previewyoutube=fXc7B8_mrx8;full][/previewyoutube] With Shapeshifter Weapons, Tracking, Awakened Items, reworked islands, and much more, Wild Blood unleashed Albions primal side, and opened up a whole world of new possibilities.
Winter saw end-of-year awards handed out, and Albion Online added to its growing collection with two more prestigious prizes. MassivelyOP awarded Albion Best PvP MMO for the third year running, and MMORPG.com then named the game Indie MMO of the Year. Thanks again to everyone whose continued support has made this possible!
The end of the year also saw the announcement of a new approach to the games update schedule, which would begin at the turn of 2024
No sooner had Uncle Frost thrown his last snowball of the season, than it was time for Albions first update of 2024. Crystal Raiders was the first in Albions three-monthly update cycle, and it brought some big changes to Guild Seasons. [previewyoutube=th9a8Mu6FWM;full][/previewyoutube] With the introduction of Territory Raiding and Crystal Weapons, along with other changes like a reworked Conquerors Challenge, Crystal Raiders shook up guild warfare in Albion for the seasons to come.
A year after the successful launch of the Albion Asia server came another momentous announcement: Albion Online was launching a brand-new server in Europe. This would bring massively improved ping to thousands of players, old and new, along with the chance to build a completely independent gameworld from the ground up. To celebrate this development, an all-new live action trailer was released, which might have a familiar ring to some of you [previewyoutube=xPyw4nZlGNA;full][/previewyoutube] Albion Europe had a unique Beta phase, with players flocking to the new server to earn the exclusive Duelist vanity set. A special, condensed Guild Season was won by Escalation, and then, on April 29, the new server opened its doors.
While all this was going on, development of the game didnt slow down. Along with the new server, April saw the release of Albions second update of 2024: Foundations. [previewyoutube=vTj-NaMx4gs;full][/previewyoutube] Foundations continued to add new dimensions to Guild Seasons, with the introduction of Fortifications, Siege Banners, Territory Activity Chests, and more. With guilds now able to construct powerful defenses for their territories, Season 23 marked the beginning of a new era of warfare in Albion.
2024s updates and the launch of Albion Europe made Albion more vibrant than ever before, and this was confirmed when the game smashed its player number record in May.
Albion Online surpassed 350,000 daily active users on May 1, eclipsing the previous record set a year ago with the launch of Albion Asia. With so many new and experienced players enjoying the game, its a truly exciting time to be a part of the world of Albion as we look ahead to the future.
And that future begins next week, with the release of the Paths to Glory update on July 22. This will bring the Albion Journal, a brand-new achievement system with some very special rewards available. It also sees some big quality-of-life improvements, a new Dynamic Spawn Rate system, new Crystal Weapons, and much more. With all this, Albion has never offered so much to so many players.
Join us in celebrating Albions anniversary now with the Living Legacy event, featuring some all-new statues of Albions previous season winners to take down. And the special Anniversary Paladin vanity bundle is available until July 30 at 10 UTC, so grab yours while you can! Meanwhile, wed like to once again give our thanks to you, the community, for whats been an incredible year. Heres to the future!

Albion Online is a sandbox MMORPG set in an open medieval fantasy world. The game features a player-driven economy where nearly every item is player-crafted. Combine armor pieces and weapons suited to your playstyle in a unique, classless "you are what you wear" system. Explore the world, take on other adventurers in thrilling battles, conquer territories, and build a home.
Craft. Trade. Conquer.
Dive in now and become part of a living fantasy world where everybody matters.
From basic tools and clothes to mighty armors and powerful weapons – nearly every item in the game is crafted by players, in player-constructed buildings, from resources gathered by players. Buy, sell, and trade with other players at local marketplaces all across the world of Albion. Craft rare and powerful items, then sell them to the highest bidder and grow your fortune.
In Albion Online's classless combat system, you are what you wear. The weapons and armor you use define your skills, and switching playstyles is as easy as switching gear. Test out new equipment anytime and change up your weapons, armor, and mounts to suit any situation. Hone your character’s skills by crafting new items, or by simply using your favorite equipment.
From solo to small-group to large-scale battles, you'll need strategy, tactics, and skill to prevail. Test yourself against other adventurers in high-risk, high-reward full-loot fights. Level your combat specializations, create unique builds with complementary skills, and use every tool at your disposal to emerge victorious.
Join a guild and carve out your own piece of Albion in massive open-world battles. Claim territories for access to incredible resources, construct guild halls, and conquer entire cities to levy taxes and grow your wealth. Build a Hideout to give your guild a powerful home base deep in dangerous lands. Lead your guild to victory in the Crystal League, and track your progress against other guilds worldwide on a constantly-updated seasonal leaderboard.
Claim a city plot or private island and make it your own. Grow crops to sell or craft into food, raise your own livestock and mounts, and place crafting stations for other players to use for a fee. Stock your house with custom furniture and trophies, build chests to store your growing collection of loot, and hire laborers to keep everything at your homestead running smoothly.
From small scouting bands to massive bosses, from dungeons to full-blown faction bases, the inhabitants of Albion’s open world await your challenge. Take on six different factions, each with different enemies that require unique strategies. Partake in solo or group Expeditions, or seek out the ultimate thrill by facing demons and other players alike in Hellgates and Corrupted Dungeons.
Explore five beautiful biomes, each with its own challenges. Gather valuable raw materials for crafting, or cast a line into Albion's waters to catch rare and valuable fish. Seek out randomly generated solo and group dungeons and slay powerful foes for valuable loot. Enter the mystical Roads of Avalon to discover ever-changing paths between distant zones, face off against long-dormant foes, and build your own Hideout in this vast and ancient land.
Albion Online is a true cross-platform MMO experience. Whether you prefer Windows, Mac, Linux, or even Android or iOS (mobile currently in beta), one account lets you play on all platforms, with all players on a single shared server. Forge alliances with other players worldwide and take part in massive battles to determine the fate of Albion.
