Hello Jungle Nation! This month, we have some exciting new updates including our first gameplay updates that adds new roles to the game. Thank you for your continued support by playing the game and providing feedback. It greatly helps us in making a better game and sharing the great party game experience that we all enjoy with more players! What's New: - Three New Roles: Take your games to a whole new level of depth and introduce a new level of mind games and twists to your gameplay. - Trustee: a Loyalist who sees two suspects. One of them is the Agent, the other one is the Faker, but it's not clear who's who. - Faker: a Leaker who can use this position to trick the Trustee and earn his trust. - Mole: the only Leaker that is not seen by the Agent. - Coin Toss Coin toss allows you to leave your vote up to the chances, only once per game. A new fun way to play mind games when voting. Everyone sees the coin toss, so you can use it to blow off some heat by not accepting responsibility about the outcome and feel like a true politician. - Easy Game Restart You can now restart the game with the same players after it's finished, so you don't have to join in again. You will be taken to the lobby where you can immediately start a new game, or change the game config or add/remove players. - More Tutorial Slides (web app) We added more visual slides to our tutorial in the web app (jungle.buzz) to make it easier for you learn and review the rules. Well continue to invest more here to make it easy for you invite new friends to your games! - MacOS Port Adding to the Linux support last month, you can now play Republic of Jungle on your MacOS devices too. What you do in the game
In Republic of Jungle, you and your friends play as the staff of the Bite House, where President Puma is the sitting president of the Republic and his administration is under pressure by frequent leaks and publicized scandals. There are rumors of an undercover agent infiltrating the ranks, and The President is trying to save himself by all means necessary. You might be a leaker trying to undermine the president, or a Loyalist trying to keep the president in power. Do you love social deduction games like Mafia, Werewolf, The Resistance and Secret Hitler? We do too! But we noticed some shortcomings in the genre. They are sometimes hard to set up and inconvenient to play. Some games need too much room or a big table, some require a moderator with godlike precision, some require to close your eyes for minutes, and quite often the game is ruined because someone forgot to do their part correctly or a newbie player asked the wrong question and revealed their secret. We have built Republic of Jungle to address to these issues and distill the fun of social deduction games into a more enjoyable and convenient experience. Inspired by Jackbox Games, we have built a platform where players can use their smartphones (or any device with a browser) to play the game. This way, the game does all the moderation for you, guides the players throughout the game and adds a fun narrative on top.
