As Priory Games gets ready to launch
The Great Plague Exodus on February 5th, I will be hunkering down to bug fix/polish. So I wanted to go all out with a major
Silk Roads: Caravan Kings update, since we'll be busy with the new game for a while. Therefore, Ive made some huge quality of life upgrades, introduced some community requested features and rebalances along with the usual bug fixes.
The New Year update:
Game Speed Setting
A massively requested community feature. The game now has a speed setting at the bottom of any travelling scene with Normal (x1), Fast (x2) & Super (x4).
Increased Contract Time
Added an extra 300 days to the standard contract time. Players should have an easier time making the full journey.
Made Events Repeat Less Often
The game now stores the 20 most recent events and removes them from the event selection pool, this will hopefully decrease how often you see the same events. This will not effect Europe or Winter events though due to the possibility of crashing.
Added Social Links
Making it easier for players to find each other and share stories or tips.
Doubled XP required for levelling up skills
Fixed Event Bugs
Fixed End Game Scroll
Optimised Audio Files
Decreasing the install size quite a bit.
This is by no means the end for
Silk Roads: Caravan Kings, it has been a lot of fun to revisit and play test for this update and Im really impressed with the state of the game as a first development for Priory Games, but my skills as a developer have come a long way in the short period of time since the game launched and Im very excited to show you whats coming up next.
