We decided take the month of November to fix some nagging issues that had accumulated over time, so with that we present our "Bug Fix" update! Improvements

  • New scene loading makes room transitions very fast
Bug fixes
  • Fixed exit dialog to be functional again
  • Fixed connections between multiple player-held objects
  • Re-introduced Chandlier into game flow
  • Fixed edge case with multi-connections
  • Fixed edge case with trash can and shattered objects
  • Fixed paint brush selection issues
  • Mouse no longer controls Gamepad players' UIs
  • Fixed edge case with player selection
  • Piece highlights are no longer lost
  • Steam Workshop tabs no longer appear when not connected to Steam
  • Room transitions only after player actions have completed

Home Improvisation is a game about building crazy modular furniture. It is playable solo or with up to 5 friends working together. You can try to build the furniture correctly, or you can make new and terrifying furniture creations. The choice is yours!

  • Your friends can join in the fun too! Up to 5 people can build together locally

  • Create and share furniture on the Steam Workshop
  • Decorate 3 unique rooms in Form Mode
  • Test your furniture building prowess in Function Mode
  • Customize your furniture with the Peg and Hole Guns
  • Choose the perfect color palette with the Paint Brush tool
  • Careful of fragile objects: they shatter!

Originally created as part of the Global Game Jam, Home Improvisation became a viral sensation. The Stork Burnt Down took this momentum and fleshed out the game into a full experience, while retaining the fun of the original prototype.
