Spacebase Startopia Update 1.4.2

[VAL initialized] [access granted] Commander! I have received an emergency report from a few nearby stations and put the R.F.S. units to work right away. Update 1.4.2 for Windows, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox One/X/S includes several improvements, such as a newly added trade and production tutorial. It also fixes the issue where input hits for the gamepad would stop showing after the controller gets disconnected. The current hotfix 1.1.3 comes with a crash fix and improved music fading. This also fixes mechs getting destroyed when they touch the sector breach barrier. The current hotfix 1.1.2 improves the stability and fixes some rare crashes. This also fixes an issue with my voice getting stuck in a quickmatch in multiplayer. Thank you for supporting Spacebase Startopia thus far by providing feedback and suggestions. Please bear with us as we continue to work on and improve the game.

Crash fixes:

• Excess .dll files that may have caused problems on some computers were removed. (All players who manually deleted DLLs from the game installation should make sure to let steam verify their installation, to restore full functionality and performance optimizations of the game)
• Player CPUs capabilities were not checked correctly for some optimizations, causing them to execute unavailable instructions (AVX, AVX2, SSE4).
• Fixed error when steam player avatar images could not be loaded, which potentially caused "fatal loading errors" when entering the game.

Gameplay fix:

• Fixed an error where VALs voice got stuck in an endless loop after players started a quick match in multiplayer mode.

Kalypso Media and Realmforge Studios have today announced that space station management sim Spacebase Startopia has completed its final landing checks and successfully touched down on Windows-PC/Linux/Mac, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One consoles. The game will support Smart Delivery for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One Consoles, while the Nintendo Switch version will follow later in the year. Kalypso Media and Realmforge Studios have today revealed that upcoming space station management sim Spacebase Startopiahas locked in its final release coordinates andwill launch on the 26th of March for Windows-PC/Linux/Mac, Xbox One consoles, Xbox Series X|Sand PlayStation 4|5. The games beta is currently available to all Steam and Kalyspo Store pre-purchasers, as well as Xbox via Game Preview. A release date reveal trailer can be viewed below. Spacebase Startopiasells players the galactic dream: managing their very own donut-shaped space station. Overseen and assisted (when she feels like it) by the bases prickly on-board AI, players will play Commander to their floating home-away-from-home, kitting out the stations three unique decks with a variety of galactic gadgetry whilst tending to the wants and needs of a diverse array of vacationing extra-terrestrial lifeforms. Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Realmforge Studios have today announced that their upcoming space management sim Spacebase Startopia has been subject to a navigational glitch (that the station AI insists is down to human error), overshooting its destination by several thousand lightyears and delaying its arrival on Earth to Spring 2021. The new release date will allow for more development time to further polish the game, ensuring that it reaches the highest quality level possible and meets the high expectations of fans and beta testers. In addition, the delay means that the game can launch in more territories and on more platforms from day one. Spacebase Startopia is set to launch in 2021 on Windows PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

We are thrilled with the amount of feedback we have received from the beta and we will be doing everything we can to read and process each query as quickly as possible. VAL is pleased to announce that her on-board development droid, assembly series Realmforge Studios, has been able to implement another new batch of bug fixes, improvements, and features. Among these is the first iteration of controller support and new voice effect options for VAL. Regarding the controller-support, VAL and her very own droid assembly series Realmforge Studios here would like to see and read your feedback regarding the newly implemented feature. Publisher Kalypso Media and in-house developer Realmforge Studios have today announced that upcoming construction management sim Spacebase Startopia is now available to pre-purchase on Steam (Windows PC only) at a special discounted price, including instant access to the closed beta which will go live later today.
