This new version consist of mainly bug fixes. - The player can now choose when the round changes, when the last enemy of the horde is killed there is a prompt to change the round - Improvements to the sound design of the game - Improvement to the GUI - Makes fog of war disappearance more smooth.
Version 0.9.1 is out! There have been major changes. - The game difficulty has been adjusted in order to make initial rounds easier and give the player time to build his character to be prepared for later rounds - Many animations and special effects have been added. - A rework of how spells work, now they are divided in automatic, single-shot and holding spells. - Many Graphical bug fixes - There is a demo out now!
This week focus was on perfomance, the game runs around two times faster on my machine and is more accessible to lower end hardware. Many stuttering issues on Windows have been fixed. A big change was the addition of the fog of war that hides the map and encourages player exploration. Changelog: - Perfomance Optimizations - 16 new rock sprites - Addition of fog of war, encouraging player exploration of the map - Improvements on player pixel art sprites - Changes to the world generation algorithm to remove some cases where there were areas on the map where the player coudn't reach.
Minor patch - Add better support for multiple resolutions - Improves camera movement, avoiding some jittering issues - Fixes a wall visibility bug
This update brings a change to the game's look. The perspective has been changed from a top-down to an inclined/isometric view, giving the game a 2.5D look. For that change many game assets were reworked and the game graphical feels has improved a lot . Change Log: - Change perspective to an isometric one - Add 8 species of mushrooms - Rework the magical crystals art. - Change on the main character art design - Improvements on the sound design, such as snakes noises sound better now and you receive audio feedback when buying an item. - Rework of the lightining system to make the game look more natural - Changes in the dps of some spells to make game more balanced.
