Hello Keen Fans, We have a new update available for Keen Dreams now, which contains the following fixes, and improvements.
- Replaced OpenGL/GLEW CGA/EGA with SDL2, runs on Direct3D9 in Windows and OpenGL in MacOS and Linux. This also indirectly fixes issues with the Steam overlay on Windows and should improve compatibility,
- SDL2 has been updated to version 2.0.7,
- Removed flawed SSE blitting code,
- Fixed gamepad support to be much stricter as to which gamepads are used, prevents issues with irrelevant devices reported as joysticks to SDL interfering with player controls,
- Bugs were fixed but may only be relevant to using a slightly older codebase,
- Cloud Saves should work properly now.
- Underlying changes to the Steam Depot system. The Mac version is now no longer downloaded alongside the Windows version. Old files have been cleaned up.

Keen Dreams is now available on Mac! The very much delayed mac osx release has been finally released on Steam! Supports El Capitan and earlier OSX! Get Keen on the mac now!

Wow, it's been several months and it's been pretty quiet on the Keen Dreams site. But that doesnt mean we haven't doing anything related to Keen! The mac build is currently underway! As such, any members that would be kind enough to help us test the build could you please reply? We're trying to do as closed beta, and the more macs we're able to test it on the more awesome the build will be!

I have made another effort to bring back more old games to Steam. This is my next project. Im bringing over the FPS games that began this industry. Catacomb 3d, or CAtacomb Abyss. That doesnt mean that I'm leaving Keen Dreams nonetheless, I'll continue to update it. I just had to work on another new effort to switch gears a bit, and the Catacomb games are some of my favorites. Wow, it's been a busy week! As most of you by now see, Keen Dreams is now available! Hope you enjoy the game! It's been a long way, gettig the release ready and with all the additions that Steam allows. It was very fun doing it! There were a few errors related to the controllers, they'll all get fixed, and most have already been fixed. Now, I'm getting into the keys to those that backed the game and the bundle. Don't worry, I'm doing that. I'll get them ready as soon as I get them. In the meantime, enjoy Keen Dreams!

Im happy to announce that all community content, meaning trading cards and such, have been added! There's a few small issues regarding a score variable still remaining, but i think we're pretty much ready to release! What do you people think? Should we release now, or wait until the 30th?

The windows build is ready and has been submitted to steamworks! It'll be a few hours until it's available. I'm now working on adding the trading cards, emotes, badges and such. Writing documentation too. A manual should be ready when the game launches.

Another update!!! Keen Dreams will have trading cards!!! Around 10 in total. Also, it'll have badges, emotes, and wallpapers too!! All this to make up for the continued delay in releasing Keen Dreams! Thank you again Keen fans!

Hello again, I have a new update regarding the ongoing development of Keen Dreams. Like I mentioned before, development of the windows build is well underway. Lots of bugs have been fixed. A new build was finished and pushed through the steam depots last week. It had lots of updates and changes, including: - Re-worked credits and leaderboard display. There's now a "Leaderboards" button on the main menu. - Fixed several bugs from the original DOS game: - Exit signs no longer can be jumped through (clipping error) - Missing ground tile in Boobus' Chamber fixed. - Crash when a frame takes > 33.3ms to blit (I think this was the cause of most crashes we've seen) - Fixed memory debug cheat, Linux version will now attempt to Lock VM pages to reduce swap thrashing in low-memory environments. - Added a new F10+V cheat to allow overriding the system sync to vblank state. (Supports adaptive vsync on systems with swap_control_tear). The build is coming together and is looking awesome! Wish all of you Keen fans could play it right now. The time will come however, dont worry.
