Hello everyone! A lot of changes going into the alpha version! It will only be an alpha (access through our Discord!). It is very hard to process through all the changes that went into this update, sorry if it's not complete! What changed : Gameplay

• This update introduces the Neurodecks unlock system. Some cards are now locked at the beginning of a run, and the player can unlock them through the new Memory Revival room.
• Added a new kind of cards that can give players passive effects on several turns. These effects are a bit stronger than modifiers, and will allow players to try new strategies.
• Added a new Memorial room. It allows you to remove a card from your deck during a run.
• *Added a new Kitchen room. It allows you to get powerful temporary buffs, in anticipation of a specific fight.*
• The maze is now composed of 30 floors (instead of 20).
• This update adds a new emotion for Lei : the Surprise emotion. Surprise comes with a new basic card and 15 new cards you can find during runs including unique effects, passives and equipments. We hope youll like it!
• Added 7 other new cards : Flip a Coin, Stroll, Sunbath, Recycling and House Party for the Anger emotion of Lei, Caring Thought and Meditation Session for all emotions of Lei.
• Added Sharkophobia (rank 2) to the game. It can devour your cards!
• Added Haptophobia (rank 1) to the game. It can lock your cards in place, making them impossible to play.
• Phobia must now be fought once to be present in the phobiadex.
• Controller support is currently in QA but you can try it :) Should work with keyboard as well.

Balancing

• Shower is now belongs to rank 2 (previously : rank 3). Its STA cost increased a bit (from 0 to 15).
• Self-Blaming now belongs at rank 3 (previously : rank 2).
• Angry Scribbling was nerfed a little bit and now fades after use.
• Phasmophobia has now 120 Sanity points (+ 20)

Visual

• Added a new illustration for the Can Kicking and Self-Blaming cards.
• Added animations for Tokophobia, Sharkophobia, Agoraphobia, Phasmophobia and Squalophobia.
• Events now have specific icons in exploration mode.
• Added a new Forest background, the old one is now called Shrooms.
• Added illustrations for 9 of the new cards present in the Surprise emotion.

Sound

• Added SFX for Entomophobia, masculinity, and much more...

UX

• The fight interface now shows the number of Faded/Discarded cards this fight.

Team Sophie Maleval joined the team as a 2D artist. She has been making new illustrations for Neurodeck (some of which were previewed on Twitter in the last weeks). Shes already finished but helped making around 20+ illustrations as a helping hand! Bug fixing

• Fixed the Introverted/Extraverted survey (it could give players the wrong trait).
• Fixed animations that could blur on Myso and Arachno.
• Fixed bugs tied to new cards and effects.
• Fixed a visual bug on monster Sanity.
• Fixed a bug on the amount of Sanity of the Eel Punching trial.
• Fixed a sound bug that could crash the game.

Other

• Agoras attack names have changed in this version
• The card French Insult is now called Altercation (the effect is the same)

What is planned for the upcoming weeks ? The second character of Neurodeck, Jupiter, is currently in a pre-production phase. We should release its first emotion in the coming month, with a new mechanic tied to the character. We are working on controller support! It should be added to the game later this year. New phobias will be added to the game in a future update. They will diversify our current pool, and offer a new variety of challenges to players. This update already adds 2 phobias for the lower ranks (1 & 2). We are aiming for
