This beginning of November brings us closer to release! There are a lot of new stuff, but we'll not start to differentiate the beta and public demo branch. Private Beta : ask for access on Discord. Features the whole content. Public Demo : play easily on Steam, but you can only play the first character and the first emotion. What changed : Gameplay

• This update introduces Neurodecks new character, Jupiter. She comes with a new Inner Peace mechanic that takes the place of Leis Mind Focus, a new Meditate keyword, and 34 new cards. As of now the character has only its first Sadness emotion available.
• Added a new phobia! Or two actually? Nyctophobia represents the fear of the dark, and Heliophobia represents the fear of intense light. The phobia alternates between these two phases in battle, and you will need to think strategically to defeat this powerful opponent!
• Added another new phobia : Nosophobia, the fear of diseases. This one constitutes another boss you can encounter at the end of the Neurodeck maze, as well as Phasmo for example. We hope it will give players an interesting battle!
• You cannot encounter two phobias of the same kind (two Arachno for exemple) anymore. This is part of a small rework we are currently doing on encounters, more about that soon!

Balancing As we are introducing a lot of content on this update, balancing might change a bit in the following weeks. Feedback on this point really helps us to understand what works best and what should be reworked, so feel free to share your thoughts with us! Visual

• 15 new card illustrations have been added to the game.
• Nycto/Heliophobia and Nosophobia come with new animations!
• Reworked the card template. This one should be more aesthetically pleasing and allows for a better display of important informations.

UX

• The new card template now indicates the pool a card comes from : for example, if its tied to an emotion or common to all emotions of a specific character.
• Fixed a display problem on the text on Squalophobias second attack.

Team Whad joined the team ! He is doing a work-and-study program in video game development and will help in the development of Neurodeck. Bug fixing

• Fixed bugs occuring when Jupiter card effects were played.
• Fixed bugs tied to the Meditation Jauge of Jupiter.
• Fixed bugs tied to the new Inner Peace effect.
• Fixed problem tied to music and sound effects, that could stop playing on specific circumstances.
• Fixed a bug where the wrong name could display on cards (Lei instead of Jupiter for exemple).
• Fixed a problem on tutorial that prevented it to display in game.

What is planned for the upcoming weeks?

• The second emotion of Jupiter is currently in a pre-production phase. We are working on it, and it should release around january.
• We are currently reworking the encounters in nerodeck in order to make the difficulty curve more interesting. Theres already a modification in this update, and it will be continued in the next.
• New art will replace the placeholder illustrations on some of Jupiters cards.
