Dear Neurodeck players,
Thank you for participating in the launch of Neurodeck. The game had a good start until we realized the quality was not high enough and disappointed some of you! We take this as a hint to keep working on it. Goblinz Studio & we have it in our DNA to not give up and provide updates to the game.
That said, development is expensive and its hard to say when some issues are just non-solvable because theyre in the DNA of the game.
So, we have decided to make updates to the game for the next 3 months. Were going to hire new people on the development side and reattribute tasks to people who can work on those updates. These are unplanned expenses for us but we know its necessary for the game. We will try to improve some aspects such as pacing, content and game feel.
At the end of those 3 months, well see what to do. Please keep in mind these are objectives, not promises.
First priority: (hopes for the first month)
- Improving game pacing by adding tension with a boss and mini-boss
- Completing bug fixing
- Nightmare phobias: encountering a phobia the 2nd time makes it more powerful
- Nursery Room: you start a run with new traits that will alter your session right from the start
- Unlocking rework: you can unlock wayyy more content overall but by reusing the content already produced (cards, mental trials, etc.)
- Improving Survey room
Second priority: (hopes for the 2nd month)
- Adding new mini-stories here and there to improve the link to the mental health theme
- 3 new rooms that will improve replayability
- Improving card design and making new unique effects
- Improving UI / UX in several ways (more reactive, more ergonomic)
- Adding new resilience levels
- Adding new mental trials
- Remaking the tutorial
Third priority: (hopes for the 3rd month)
- 3 new phobias
- 15 new cards (not sure how theyll be attributed yet)
- Improving FX & game feel during fights
