Weekly Challenge Report #2 Whos Afraid of the Big Bad Bleed?
Today, we're lovingly throwing you into the jaws of the weeks wildest modifiers and hope you survive to read next weeks. This time? The wolves are outand they brought backup. This week' s challenge is: Threatening Howls Its full of bleed, rich in gold, and dangerously slow. A fairytale gone horribly wrong.
Hemorrhage: Enemies apply 2 Bleed charges that hit at the end of the turn, bypassing Buffer and Bleed Immunity. It hurts more than it should. Energized Heroes: Every hero starts with +1 energy each turn, guess you got your dose of caffeine in! Slow Heroes : Unfortunately, you're not winning any race today, -1 speed to your whole party. I don't make the rules. Elemental Monsters: All monsters gain +10% Fire, Cold, and Lightning resistance. Hope you werent counting on consistent damage output. Wealthy Heroes : You begin with +300 gold and shards. Great! Use it fast, before the wolves get you. Double Injuries: When you take an injury, you get an extra copy. Because clearly open wound wasnt enough. This is a challenge where youll want your healing sharp, your positioning smarter, and your defensive layers thicker than the straw house Ottis used to live in.
Ottis Vital. Keeps the bleeding from turning fatal. Must protect him at all costs. Wilbur Sparks flying, brain humming. Slower than usual. Still irreplaceable. Sylvie Sharp. Focused, and everything she hits bleeds. Bree Unmoving, unshaken. If somethings coming for us, itll have to go through her first. The woods are quiet. Too quiet. Were 70% bleed stacks, 40% regret, and somehow still at -10% initiative.

You can play solo or with up to three other players. Each one of you will control a hero in combat but all of you will have to work together and decide what's best for the group... will you help the farmers against a group of small fiery demons or will you search among the ashes for nice loot?
Choose among 16 unlockable characters and form your party. Each one of them have his own cards, items, mechanics, stats and strengths... it's not the same to play with a fire wizard than a shadow mage, would you play with two healers or rather play with a damage oriented group?
More than 500 upgradeable cards and 200 items to choose, will let you customize your heroes with different builds: poisons, bleeds, defensive skills... there are a lot of combinations that you can apply to each hero.
Each game will be different. Take a path, fight your way through it, complete quests and the world will evolve in front of you. Lots of hidden places and mysteries to be solved await you in Across the Obelisk.
