Happy festive season to all pammies and unpaid crisis management interns!
We managed to stack up quite a to-do list after Gamescom earlier this year thanks to all of the feedback, since then we've been keeping busy in building both new content and working through our bug list. Although we've still got a few things that we're still working on, we're excited to share the stuff we've got ready - including three new levels and a new tool, the Wrecking Ball! Here's hoping you'll enjoy and thanks again to everyone for all the feedback over the year. Wishing you all a productive and efficient festive season!

[previewyoutube=87ahgnHjmNk;full][/previewyoutube] Human interns have requested significant changes to the Pampermpel Safety System.exe software, the corporate issued remote login application that allows earthlings to build safety protocols to save employees on another planet - find below some changes: -More properties have been built and require evacuation protocols (new levels, like) - Initial safety management training has been improved (revised tutorial) - Pampermpel Industries now produces new consumer products and resources:
- Explosives
- Freezeables
- Recyclable (burnable) trash
- and many more!
- You can now submit reports and suggestions directly
- Help texts are now available
- More tasks will be asked of you at properties
- Item descriptions now available on the toolbar
- Buttons are shinier
- Who needs payment after completing your work when you have confetti?
- Pammy names and health are now clearer
- The software is now more compatible with different hardware
[previewyoutube=87ahgnHjmNk;full][/previewyoutube] There seems to be an incoming transmission from Pampermpel Industries! keep in mind there tends to be about 48 hours of interplanetary delay given the proximity of their planet to Earth. Or, less cryptically, a new update for the game is set to release this week watch this space!
Its been a while since our last update and were excited to talk a bit more about what were working on - here's what we have in store for you for one of the upcoming updates:
Interior walls and objects (and pammies) will soon be able to get exploded by certain items. Who needs to strategically plan escape routes when you can blast open a few walls?
Crisis employees will soon be able to zoom, rotate, and pan to get a better look at the situations.
Confused about which item does what thing, about how to reset items, or about existence in general? Were working on answering some of those questions with a totally new tutorial.
Also in the works is a cool new element - Ice forms when water freezes (who knew?) causing blocked paths or stopping Pammies in their tracks.
Theres a world of difference (sorry) between our old and upcoming world maps:
Shinier buttons and colours, highlighting things, and some general refinements are also on the way.
Were making use of the new mechanics to develop new accident-prone situations.
Upcoming improvements to the game's aesthetic include new room decor and outfits along with some improvements to the heat vision and such.
Whats that? Who knows. In any case this is apparently a very handy thing to do to prepare ourselves for future goals like enhancing objective progression or potentially a level editor.
We've had a list of things to tidy up that hopefully won't grow too big during the next phases of testing.
We'll roll out some of the updates in late January pending tester feedback.
Finally a big thanks for the support and feedback throughout the development so far, the feedback from our earliest builds right through to recent playtests has helped us make much better decisions during task planning which will hopefully result in a much better experience. If youre interested in becoming a beta tester or to let us know your feedback we'd love to hear your from you on our discord here:

Greetings employees of Pampermpel Industries,
Thanks for taking a look at our game - the feedback we've received so far has helped refine the direction. We know what we're showing is very, very early although based on the success of the feedback thus far we've decided to open the project up to community earlier than originally planned. The major points we're taking on board before the Early Access Alpha is that the difficulty needs to be higher and a few UI tweaks - do let us know your feedback or ideas either in the survey or below!
We're approaching the finish line in preparing our Early Access Alpha version (July 9), which we hope will give a better feeling for what the game is about at the moment rather than the more technical/gameplay oriented demo. The improvements between the demo version and the early access version are as follows:
- First biome - Pampermpel's City
- 10 levels
- Elements: Fire, Water, Smoke
- Pammies and Pammy variations
- Objectives within levels
- Updated level select
- Upgraded UI - planning phase
- Improved tutorials for first-time users
- Improved UI for demonstrating the level's hazard
- Pamperumpel employee rankwill improve based on performance
- 5-7 placable crisis tool items (for now!)
We have had a bunch of ideas that had to be put aside to stick to our scope though should we secure the means to continue, here's a rough look at what would be to come from alpha to a full release:
Destruction
Obliterating walls to create paths for Pammies - not the safest option!
Wiring
Linking up items based on signals and available electricity
Utilities
Allowing the player the ability to control the water and air in an office building
New Elements
After fire/smoke and water, we're planning to introduce electricity and a mouldy mushroom element that causes the Pammies to zombify
Level Creator
By popular demand the level creator has made its way into the roadmap before our previously planned biomes. We'd love to develop something to enable a sandbox mode
Pammy Behaviour Upgrades
More smart yet more stupid. We'd love to explore the interactions between Pammies, work routines, variations of their decision making, and more item and elemental interactions.
Revised Economy
Rethinking how a player could earn items and adding extra dimensions to what happens to the Pammies after they've been saved
New Biomes
What other parts of this planet might the Pammies be inhabiting - we're interested in exploring new hazards that impact every level in a series and the corresponding items to counter them
More Levels
A wider variety of levels with more difficulty - approximately 10-15 per biome
More Lore & Prettier Things
The different biomes and level surroundings would get upgraded and lots more decorative items added to the game.

Panic Mode Main (Linux) [643.16 M]
In each location an accident is bound to happen. First, set up your equipment in the space. When things kick off, use your tools to mitigate the calamity that would otherwise cause all of the pammies to perish. Save the pammies! Or don't; the company will keep you on as crisis manager regardless of your performance.
- Behaviour: Pammies aren't smart yet they aren't stupid either
- Elements: Each biome has elements that impact the levels
- Tools: crisis management equipment will be provided
