So, I checked the game on my side and everything was running fine, I checked the script where I changed the number before and there was nothing wrong. I had no idea why people are complaining about the game not working anymore... ...until I checked steam pipe, e.g. Steams api, and there it was: Apparently there was an error during the upload, a simple hiccup. So this is simply a re-upload with no changes on my side. Let's hope it works this time.
Just changed a single number in the script, so there's really no need for a new version number for this. - Fixes a map issue when you're only following one of the girls route.
This is just a small'ish patch to fix what you guys and girls reported so far. Thanks for all your reports, I hope I got everything fixed and didn't forget anything (there was quite a lot ^^") - Fixed several typos - Fixed scenes triggering even when not on the corresponding route - Fixed wrong scenes triggering at certain points - added some additional renders and two animations to one specific scene - added missing renders for two scenes (in one scene it was actually just the wrong image link) If you find any more errors, or typos, or whatnot, just let me know.
I know it took a while, but it's finally here! BM 0.9 has a lot of new content. Scenes for every (female) character in the game, Story progression, lots of new render and animations, tons of fixes, and I've also changed some early scenes slightly: If you don't like Rachel, or Katherine (or their routes in general), you'll have more options now. Both aren't completely fleshed out, yet, but there shouldn't be any problems with them either. I've also managed to get most of my saves to load, except the really REALLY old ones, and some saves will start at the beginning of the corresponding scene, instead of exactly where the save happened, but I think that's better than nothing. Please also keep in mind that not all saves will work, but most should be fine. Sadly, I haven't had as much feedback from the beta as I had hoped... nonetheless, a big thanks to the few people that reported bugs, or other problems. I've also tested as much as I could by myself, but if you happen to still find a bug, some grammar/spelling errors, or whatever, please let me know. Now I don't want to bore you with too many details, so have fun with the update, and I hope you enjoy ;)
Finally! The new beta is finally out, this time it's the beta for the next big update, that also includes all fixes from the previous beta. To access the beta, go to your steam library, right click on Bad Memories, select properties, go to betas, and chose the beta in the dropdown menu on the right. To quote my previous news: Currently there are a little over 1400 renders and 23 animations for this update, but of course I'm still working on it, so there will be more. There are several fixes included in the update, some adjustments, new settings, and I've also decided to remove the color picker for the text completely. It's just such a mess and causes more trouble than it's worth tbh. There are still renders missing, and not all of the scenes are final, but overall, everything is mostly there, and it will give you a good look of what the full update is going to be. As usual with beta's, expect bugs and maybe some weird stuff happening. I can't guarantee everything working without such beta's. I also can't guarantee save compatibility anymore from this point onwards, at least up until version 1.0 (we're at 0.9, so...), since I have to make several code changes for the final release, and will remove temp fixes I did ages ago for save compatibility between updates, those will be redundant in the final release. Anyway, I hope you'll have fun testing the beta, and please report any bugs you might find. PS: I won't be home over the weekend, so please don't expect any super quick fixes, but I will check in whenever I can ;)

It's not that I stopped developing, I'm still working on the game every day, and while doing so, I'm usually online, (except on weekends, which are reserved for my wife), but my life has changed drastically over the last few years, and so has the way I (can) interact with the online world. I used to live a simple life: single, small flat in a small village with not much to do, so a lot of time for online stuff... But now I moved to a different country, I've married a wonderful woman, have a house to take care of (it's old and needs some work), my Dad died recently as well... I have to juggle a lot of stuff between real life and development, which simply means some things will fall short. I know it sucks not getting many updates, but I rather have less online interactions, than having to cut development time. So, sorry for that ;_; But all that aside, stay tuned for the beta, and have a great day!
Hello! peek I've just finished one of the scenes for the upcoming update, and thought "this might be a good time for a news post", so here goes... One thing I want to make clear right from the start: I still don't know when the update will be done, but it shouldn't take too long anymore. So, as many of you know, I've been back in my home country for a few weeks, settle some things, get the last bits and pieces of my stuff, etc.. most of my stuff comes with a container ship in one or two months, but I took some hardware from my old render pc with me (so I won't have to wait for it to arrive with the container), and I'm already using it effectively. Render times have decreased a lot! Anyway, I know most of you just want to know about the update: Currently there are 7 scenes more or less finished. There are scenes for all of the girls (side, and main), and the main story progresses as well. I'm still working on some render and animations for some of them, but they're mostly done. I still have to do one bigger scene and some minor scenes in between, to connect everything, but after that, there's only testing and the beta release, which usually takes about two weeks, after that the full update will release. I should mention that I've decided to not switch to WS after this update, but to go right back to BM. The way I've planned things out, it makes more sense to keep working on BM. I could, of course, just release one huge update, but there's just so much left to do, that I prefer to not do that. Nonetheless, this update should still be the biggest to date (content wise). I'm also planning to release a SFW version of BM (Steam only), which requires some additional work, but it shouldn't affect the update much. This will make it possible to release BM in countries where Lewd stuff is not available on steam, but with a small (free) patch, it can be converted back to NSFW. So yeah, that's all for now. Another year is going to end soon, and what a year it was. I moved to the other side of the world, got married... so much paperwork, and a lot of documents ;_; but everything is fine now, and I can fully focus on working on the game/s again.
Next yeah I'll have to go back to my home country one more time for about two weeks to get some documents, more paperwork done, and get the last few items from my old household. Currently the plan is february, but no fixed date, yet.
Meanwhile I started working on a Christmas special earlier this week, but my render program decided to freak out and refused to render some of the images, because of that I didn't manage to finish it before Christmas, so I'll leave some of the renders here for you, go back to working on the BM update, and include the full special in the game's gallery once finished ;)

Hello lovely people! First of all, I want to officially announce that there is a beta channel for the game which includes several fixes, but no new content for now. Yes, the beta channel has been there for a while, but I've never officially announced it, so here is the announcement for that peek Second is a question to the community here. But this needs a little explanation first: I release updates on several platforms, but Steam has one big advantage over most of the others, I can push updates through the steam Api. The Api looks at the files, looks which of them are new, which have changed, and then only uploads those new, or changed files. On most other platforms the game is available on, I have to upload the full game with every update, or have to workaround some obstacles which makes it a pain in the A... to update. Until now I've always updated the game on all platforms at the same time. Now I could, in theory, push smaller updates here on steam, but there are a few caveats. - First of all, obviously the updates would be smaller, probably one scene at a time. - The updates would only be for the beta branch. The non-beta will still only get the big updates as usual. - There won't be a lot of testing, so there might be game breaking bugs, save incompatibilities, or things that change until the big update. - It involves some extra work. Not only for publishing the update. For example, to save time I usually make sure all scenes end and jump to where they're supposed to jump when I'm almost done with the full update, so the game won't just end mid-scene, or in a undesirable spot, I also add stuff I've left out for whatever reason before, change things if necessary... but when I do smaller updates I'll have to do most of that before every small beta update, and there will probably still be small changes with the big updates. On the positives: - Faster updates. - You get to see new content before everyone else. - Less complaints about long update times (well, this one is probably mostly positive for me, haha). So let me know what you think, would you like to get small betas, or do you prefer one big, and properly tested update. I'll decide depending on the comments here. Have a good one ;)
This is just a little change to the thoughts text color and some text that is neither thought, nor said, but shows up in the dialogue textbox (for example: "please enter your name"). It should be readable without this change, but for some people it wasn't, so with this patch I hope it fixes it for them. If it doesn't change anything in your game, verify the game from your steam library > right click > properties > local files.
An engine update prevented all the animations in the game from playing, so I reverted the engine back for now. Animations worked again in tests, so now you can see the new scene in it's full glory ;) Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hey there lovely people ;) Here's a little update with just one new scene, but a lot of technical improvements. Be sure to check the Settings/Preferences. Also, if you want to see the full new scene, you need to be on the harem route, and on Jada' and Rachel's route. Here's the Changelog for v0.8.5: - 171 Render - 10 Animations - fixed the Gallery - added new scenes from 0.8+ to the gallery - reworked the Settings (aka preferences) menu - added some QOL settings (see the settings menu) - general QOL improvements - fixed some code issues - added italian and french languages (fan translated!!). Currently at 0.8, not updated to 0.8.5, yet, e.g. the last scene is not translated! Have fun, and let me know what you think about the improvements (and the scene *wink*).
Looks like while fixing something else, I "unfixed" two images, so that's fixed as well now ^^" As mentioned in the release notes for 0.8.0, I'll add the new scenes to the gallery at a later point.
Quick fix that should fix the save file issue some people had. Also includes some grammar fixes. Have fun!
It took a lot longer than expected, but if you followed the News on here, you'll know that my RL got in the way.
I know some people were eagerly waiting for the update, so sorry again for the long delay.
Anyway, here are the Details/the Changelog for the update:
- there are 972 new Render
- 27 new animations
- I've made some major code changes/improvements
- this time it's a more story focused update, but there are still some (new) naughty bits
- aside from the main story, there's also a pretty long and hot scene with Steph (the co-worker), and I can really only recommend to go for it, even if you didn't pursue her, yet.
- Improved and corrected some older scenes, including renders and dialogues
- changed the map layout somewhat to make room for future scenes/places
- Gallery update will come at a later point, I haven't added the new scenes, yet.
That's it so far. Saves from the last update should work, but I had some trouble with saves specifically from (ingame) day 11, day 12 and pre- day 11 saves worked though, as long as they're not too old (several updates behind).

Hey everyone, and sorry for the lack of news/updates (again >_>).
I'm still working on BM, but my life is a roller coaster right now. I had to go back to my old place for a few weeks, get some documents and sort out some stuff.
As you probably know if you read the last news here, my old place is in a different country, so it was no easy task, and took even longer than I expected.
Despite all that, I've still made progress. I had hoped that the update would be out by now, but with all the stuff going on currently in my life, it's hard to get much done. Still, I'm making progress and I'll try my best to get the update out next month.
As a little redemption I'll leave some teasers here. I'll leave the guess work to you^^

Sorry for the long silence, I've posted most of what I'm going mention here over on my patreon/subscribestar already, so if you follow me there, you'll know what this is about ;)
So, I had a not-so-easy decision to make and decided to move to a different country. As you can probably imagine, there's a lot to do to and a lot to setup. I have a lot of paperwork, appointments, and have to learn a different language, while still spending several hours a day working on the game.
That's the reason for me being so quiet lately, but as I said, I'm still working on the game, so no worries smert
I don't want to make any promises, yet, since I'll still be busy with RL for a while, but I'm getting close to finishing the update, so stay tuned for that. Maybe I can manage a release this month, maybe next. We'll see.

For some reason, after updating the engine, the steam api dll's went missing, so the achievements wouldn't trigger. That's fixed now and I hope everything works as expected. To everyone who didn't get achievements before: the game should've still registered the achievements you got while playing, so they might pop up as soon as you start the game now, because synching with steam is one of the first things the game does.
I hope this one fixes the error some people had. I can't replicate the error, so I have no way of testing it, but I've added a few checks and fallbacks that should solve the issue.
Fixed a bug in the gallery, and a few typos. Added Simplified Chinese.
Nothing major, just a few smaller bug fixes: - one image error fixed (also fixed in the gallery) - fixed a few typos, and grammar errors - I somehow forgot to add part of a scene when you don't follow Jada's route, so I added that and a few more render. Interestingly, nobody seems to have noticed the missing part when the update was in beta... xD
Alright, it's update time! As I said, this is a little bit smaller update than last time, but somehow I still added more content than I had planned initially, so it's bigger as planned, but still not as big as the last one^^ It's getting naughty this time (even more than last time ;) and there will be a little surprise at the end. No new achievements this time, but I hope you still like it and most importantly, have fun! Yep, it's getting closer. The Beta will be available some time in May for patrons/subscriber in Tester/Stalker tier and up. It will be availabe for one to two weeks, depending on the feedback and necessary fixes. I'm currently at 583 render, so already more than I had expected, and I'm still not entirely sure how much more it will be, but 600 should be easy^^ Depending on how the beta goes, I might do some additional animations or render, but we'll see how it goes ;) For those of you that don't follow the community posts here, and as a reminder to everyone else: I'm using a different animation technique now, which I had to learn how to use, so the first one and a half months or so (all of january and a good part of february), I did basically just testing and practicing. I'm still not entirely happy with the results, but I'm at a point where they're good enough so I don't feel bad to include the animations in the game anymore. (I might add one or two of my early attempts in the special gallery, so you have something to laugh about) Why am I telling you this? Well it means two things: the time I had for the update wasn't as long as it looks from the outside, which means there won't be as much content as in the last update, but it also means animations will be easier and therefore faster to create from now on. For those of you interested in testing the beta, PLEASE READ! First and most importantly: -When I say Beta, I mean it! I know a lot of studios and/or devs see betas as some kind of promotion material, but this isn't the case here. There will be bugs and there will be stuff missing, this may or may not include: render, animations, full scenes and/or paths/routes. -I still haven't found the time to get access to the beta channel here on steam, so for now the beta will only be accessible for patreons/subscriber on the Tester/Stalker tier and up. -The download will only be available on my official discord server, and you'll have to link your patreon/subscribestar account to discord to be able to access the channel. I know this is quite the hassle, but it's mainly to prevent early leaks and to reduce the workload and time I rather spend on finishing the update. Stay tuned!

It took a while longer than expected and it got bigger than expected, but here it is: V0.7!
Here are some numbers if you mind that kind of stuff: - 1295 new Render - 47 new Animations - I-don-know-how-many new scenes with all the girls - Completely new map - I've changed some very early scenes and added some choices - Small UI changes - bug fixes I'd recommend that you either start a new game, or at least start early in the morning from day 9 (day 10 is the last in the previous version), so you can A. see the scenes that only have been teased so far in it's full length, and B. won't miss any future scenes. Alright, I don't want to keep you, go play the game and have fun ;)
Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm finally able to see the end of the horizon, which means that the update is getting closer to release and I'm confident enough to tell you a release date (kind of). While I don't have an exact date yet, I'm quite sure to be able to finish the content for the update either at the end of this month or early next month, then a week or two for testing, bug fixing and correcting my engrish xD I'll also have a look into the steam beta programm, so that maybe I can release the test version here too, so you can get it a bit earlier if you want, but no promises (for now). Also thanks to everyone for taking part in the community and for all the positive feedback so far! The release went quite smooth, no big surprises here, but a few people seem to have a problem with the animations not running smoothly, this seems to be a renpy issue (the engine I'm using) and will be fixed with the next release. If you don't want to work that long, there is a workaround that seems to work for most players: Open the game, hit Shift + G, in the new window turn off "Power Saving" and turn on "Force ANGLE2 Renderer", disable Tearing if it's enabled, that's it. As I said, this works for most people, but some had to switch to another renderer and for some people nothing worked at all, they'll sadly have to wait for the update :( I've read a few comments from people being concerned about Ellie's look, so first thing I'd like to mention is that she's definitley 18 and also meant to look like that (while also meant to look extremely cute), if you think she looks too young then I'd suggest to go out and see a few 18 y.o. girls, and I don't mean these girls with 20tons paint on their faces, you might notice that some look younger than others, while some also look older, my niece for example is 22 and looks younger than Ellie. Then there are some people complaining about the game being too short... I mean... I don't know, did you see the "Early Access" tag? Also seeing some barely even reached 2 hours play time, did you try other routes? I know that not every route is for everyone, so no offense, but if you don't follow Kat's and/or Jada's route for example, then you miss a lot content. Regarding the update I can't give a date yet, I want to have a specific amount of content ready before I release it, I'm also awaiting some new hardware that should speed things up, but it also makes it harder to predict any date. I'm hoping to be able to release the update within the next two months. On the technical side there's a lot of the stuff meant for the update already exclusively in the steam version, but there will some more coming. One example is changeable in-game music. A russian and a portuguese fan-translation are on the way as well. Of course there will be new content, the story will progress, we will finally be able to date Hanna, get closer to Rachel, and there might also be a big surprise... :P Well, that's it for now, thanks for your attention.
